The restaurant is located on a one way street so make sure not to miss the parking lot entrance or else you need to go all the way around the block. There is plenty of parking though. We went on a Wednesday at about 5:15 it was not busy at all only a couple tables were taken. We were sat in the back and could see out the big window to see the river which was nice. The menu is not real big, I got the Chicken Marsala. The chicken itself was very tender and tasted amazing. However, there were two pieces and they were stacked on one another. Due to this the coating on the bottom piece was a little softer than the top, it wasn't soggy and was still fine to eat. The potatoes were fine nothing spectacular, I mainly dipped them in the sauce which tasted great along with the mushrooms. The person I was with absolutely loved the potatoes though. Overall the food was good. I usually always only eat half of my meal, however, I was able to eat this entire meal so it was very light.

Met a friend for lunch for his birthday. The bar/restaurant is a very nice size inside. Tons of space, nice size bar and TVs. Definitely gave me neighborhood bar. We sat at the bar, the bartender Tom was very nice, friendly and attentive (minus the horrible cough he had) For our food we started off with the stuffed hot peppers and pot stickers. The stuffed hot peppers came with three peppers, these were not good at all. They had no taste what so ever and were watery. The pot stickers had a spicy garlic sauce which was amazing. The pot stickers itself were over cooked, but the filling and sauce made them still eatable. Our main meals was the brisket sandwhich and a smash burger. The brisket sandwhich although had a nice topping of an jalapeno aioli(which was good) the brisket was still dry. It ate more of a pot roast sandwich than a brisket sandwich. The smash burger was good. Cooked they way I like, juicy and had a lot of flavor. I didn't get it with the special sauce. It was described as a thousand island type of sauce so if that it something you like I would suggest get it. Personally I don't like thousand island. But the smash burger didnt need it. The fries were delicious! Crunchy outside, fluffy inside seasoned well. Washed all down with a nice cold Blue moon! This for me is a place I'd go hang out with friends to catch up and have a few drinks only. The atmosphere was nice and again then is a lot of space not on top of people like other bars.

First choice for lunch failed. Closed on Mondays like so many places these days... this place was on our list to try and nearby. Nice clean comfortable restaurant. Service by Lauren was great as well. Wife had braised brisket sandwich and I went with the hot Chicken sandwich special. Turns out it was General Tso sauce and not really hot at all but it was still tasty. Unstuffed banana peppers were the highlight for sure. French fries were a standout also crispy and hot.

To say im obsessed with this place might be an understatement. I love this place. The food is off the chart , i get the same thing every time, The SmashBurger , it's absolutely amazing. So consistent, tastes the same every time, been there around 6 or 7 times in the last 2 months. Staff is always friendly and helpful. Amazing place and people.

Our next restaurant sits right on the edge of the Buffalo River, the history of which epitomizes Buffalo itself. Once a beautiful wetland, then the heart of the Erie Canal, the business Buffalo River catalyzed in this area, first grain then later iron ore, brought with it an influx of people through to the 1950s. A few factors, including the opening of the St Lawrence Seaway and excessive dumping by business, led them to declare the Buffalo River metaphorically and legally "dead" in '67 and much of the city would soon follow. The infamous river fire of '68 burned the bridge only 500ft from where Riverfield now sits. Much like Buffalo, recent efforts by good people, including owners John and Allison Otto, have brought new life back to Buffalo River and tempered optimism back to the area. So with tempered optimism for Buffalo, we shall gently review this new/old establishment. Location: 4.5/5 A typical City-of-Buffalo drive, alternating between safe and dangerous blocks, kept us in suspense until the last moment. Luckily, the friendly gentleman with the crack pipe was on the preceding block and 865 turned out to be a lovely section of Elk St. Inside, the place has been delightfully redesigned, was clean, had ample TVs. A good place to bring a family, just not today. Presentation: 4.5/5 Not exactly worthy of display in Albright-Knox, but hey, wings, carrots and celery together on a porcelain plate, super! And lots of homemade blue cheese (another unique food perfected in Buffalo) Meat: 4.5/5 We tell kids it's okay to be different, like Frank Lloyd Wright, but when it comes to wings it's better to blend in; not too big, not too small. These guys got it! Cook: 8/10 All hot, check. No gumminess, check. It's no secret the Wing Kinds appreciate a good crisp and these wings have it, but maybe a little too much. Much like news of an accident at the blue water tower, the cook may have ignored the fryer alarm. Standard: 8.5/15 A traditional sauce but unfortunately not enough of it; unremarkable in this critical category. Heavy on the salt, light on the flavor. It's 11 o'clock, do you know where your flavor is? Specialty: 7.5/10 Murphs were top notch, the most like a traditional medium wing with a sweet kick. Hot was the same as medium. Blech. Honey Cajun were forgettable. Sweet garlic parm were a decent middle-of-the-pack for the flavor. Worth noting, although not formally reviewed, the brisket sandwich was the most pleasant surprise since Josh Allen. Finally, always remember, Buffalo buffalo Buffalo buffalo buffalo buffalo Buffalo buffalo. Overall 37.5 / 50

I would give this place 2 stars but the service we received was exceptional (shout-out to Lily) and that's the only reason it raised the level. However, we gotta talk about both the food and the prices. The food was bland and the prices were outrageous. We were a party of 3. My girlfriend and I got 2 drinks each. One Tito's and soda during the appetizers and a pinot noir for dinner. My daughter had a Shirley Temple. For appetizers, we got 10 wings and a Bavarian pretzel. Dinner, I got two soups and a side of fries. One French Onion and one Red Pepper Bisque. My daughter got a chicken Caesar salad and my friend had a Shrimp Diablo. We got a peanut butter Creme Brûlée for dessert. Our bill was $195. Now, if we were in NYC at a steakhouse I could understand that for a party of 3. But the local bar and grill? Come on, man. The wings were good. We got hot (they were not). The pretzels were delicious but the cheese sauce we got with it was thick and tasteless. My soups were both bland. I guess the chef doesn't believe in salt. The chicken my daughter received was small (about 4oz), boiled, with no seasoning and the plate was the size of a side salad, not an entrée size. They charged me $25 for that. I got three 1.5 oz ramekins of aioli to dip the fries in. They were $2.50 each which is outrageous. I mean it's mayonnaise with seasoning so $2.50 each is crazy. That's like buying a whole other appetizer. The Creme Brûlée was nice and I like the twist with the peanut butter. Overall, I don't think I will be going back. I need to have flavor when I go out. Especially if I am paying an arm and a leg for it. For the location (unsavory and remote), the interior (bleak and stark), the food (unappetizing) and the prices (created in a fever dream of delusion) I will be giving this place 2.5 stars but Yelp doesn't do half stars, so the service brings it to 3. I don't think I will be giving this place a second go round. It's just not worth it.

It came out pretty quickly steamed ul in a poofy bag. The food was all cooked well; the seafood juicy and supple and the corn and potatoes the right texture. However, it was lacking flavor. The restaurant itself is beautifully designed, and it opens up to a little open air stage area so we got to hear live music in the background.
