Monday lunch with friends, there were eight of us and we were seated in the room I would consider the sun room. We were the only ones in the room so it was great to be as loud as we wanted without disturbing anyone. They have a large parking lot but it can be easy to miss since it's by one of the roundabout's. I had the Beef on Weck wrap. Asked our waitress about it since it's been a while since I was there. She said it was one of the newer items and is very popular. The beef is wrapped in a flour tortilla with provolone, creamy horseradish, salt & caraway seeds & finished in a panini press. It comes with chips and a pickle but I upgraded to fries. My choices were straight cut, waffle or sweet potato so I opted for waffle fries. I would definitely order it again. I made a reservation at this Irish pub about an hour from my home which is in the Southern Tier and my husband and I made arrangements to meet a friend for dinner at 7 pm. The restaurant was close to his house, which was the reason for choosing it. The reservation system was easy to use. We arrived at 7, and parking was a little tight but we found a spot close to the facility. When we walked in, we were greeted promptly. A few couples were in the waiting area and I began to worry that we were going to have to wait to be seated to have dinner, but it turns out that making a reservation was pretty brilliant, because we got taken right away and it appeared that the people who were waiting, did not have reservations. They were out of booths, so they asked if a table would be okay and it was, and so we were seated quickly. The restaurant was quite busy, but it really wasn't very noisy. A server came by in about five minutes asking for our drink orders. The menu was very extensive, and there was something for everyone. It was actually quite impressive. Our friend decided on the Mini Beef on Weck with a side of crispy waffle fries and a side salad. My husband decided on the "Bangers and Mash" with a cup of soup of the day, and I ordered the open Rueben, which sounded delicious. My friend and I also ordered side salads. Apparently, the restaurant makes their own rye bread fresh every day and that is what tempted me to try an entree that had rye bread. The drinks came quickly and the food was actually quickly delivered as well within approximately twenty minutes. Our salads and soup came first and about ten minutes later, our entrees arrived. Everything was really good. The salad was crisp with varied greens and it had sliced cucumbers, a wedge of tomato and rings of red onion on it. There was quite a selection of dressings to choose from. Our friend wanted croutons and cheese on the top of his salad, and the server gladly complied. My friend said his beef on weck was delicious. My Rueben was also quite good with a healthy amount of corned beef, sauerkraut and a delicious russian dressing. The bread was amazing, thick cut, fresh and tangy, but because I'm watching my carbs, I only ate half of it. The nice thing about the open Rueben, was that it only came with one piece of bread, as opposed to the closed Rueben, which is a grilled sandwich, so I could avoid a lot of carbs by getting the open Rueben. I had ordered a glass of pinot noir, and the server deftly noticed when it was getting empty and asked me if I wanted another one, which was nice. The prices seemed reasonable. In all, I would definitely go back to this place for a nice, casual dining experience. read more

Saw on Facebook a post about their soup of the week. Stuffed hot pepper soup. Absolutely had to get in to try it. It was incredible, should absolutely be a permanent menu item. Only available from 4-10 PM for some reason. I had the fish fry. Fish was perfect, fries were meh. Tartar sauce came in thimble size plastic cup and was half full. Server brought more but seriously? Had a great fish fry at JPs! Beer battered fish fry was very good! Sides were also great. I had the slaw and the macaroni salad... both were very good... but especially love their coleslaw!! This is an Irish pub/restaurant that is a good size and has both indoor and outdoor seating. We ate there around 6 pm on a Thursday and it wasn't super busy yet. Their food is delicious with generous portions. My husband had the Irish dip, which is just like a French dip, he said it was really good - probably the best he's ever had. My son had the Club House with chips and he really enjoyed it. My daughter had the cheeseburger and fries and it is a large burger but she really gobbled up the whole thing and loved all the pickle spears! We have been here numerous times and never encountered a problem. Today it took over a half hour to get our food. The sweet potato fries were very burnt and food was not even warm. We used to like going here but lately it's off. Last time we went the chicken wings were sauceless and the beef on the beef in weck was like a cheap deli meat and had no beef flavor. A particular wait staff needs attitude improvement because the last two times she's been grumpy and needs to retire. I don't think she appreciates it when we order cocktails, that second round seems to irritate her, she never asks if we want another and when we ask for a second she is definitely bothered by it.
