Small cute place with great breakfast. They have lunch and dinner as well, but we've only been for breakfast. If you are in a rush, I might pick somewhere else, but we love to sit and read while waiting for our food. They also have a ton of things for sale around the restaurant.

Charming local coffee shop, restaurant and gift shop located in the village of Hamburg, open since 1997. Comfort zone is just that, a place to come for delicious coffee, tea and comfort food. I met a friend for lunch and was delighted. In the past I have come through here quickly just for a coffee or tea. I ordered the grilled cheese with Brie, raspberry and walnuts which came with a side salad. My sandwich was huge, delicious and something different. The Brie was perfectly melted, the raspberry jam was a sweet contrast to the cheese and the walnuts were soft and added some texture to the sandwich. The side salad was pretty large and the home made dressing options offered something for every palette. My friend ordered the sun-sation salad with smoked salmon. It was a generous portion with fresh ingredients and she was very happy with her choice. Other menu items include soups, wraps, paninis, desserts, pastries and Paula's donuts. I have enjoyed their coffees and teas in the past. Tons of options for every diet and taste. In addition to the food and coffee they offer a soup club, home made popsicles and adorable and unique gifts. I was in need of birthday gift and was easily able to find something here after I finished my lunch. Sign up for their digital rewards card and earn credit for shopping. I checked in and also was awarded $1 off a $10 purchase. Quick and helpful service. Indoor and outdoor seating available. They have a gluten free and gluten sensitive menu available complete with the option of gluten free bread.

Very cute little place for coffee and a breakfast snack. It's nothing to out of the ordinary for these locations but the food was good and so where the drinks. I always love when a place does a pancake or waffle sandwich! Nice little local business!

What a gem in the middle of Hamburg. The restaurant is very cute and has little gifts for sale. You order at the counter and they bring you your food at your table. The menu has nice options and not your typical choices. I had a quiche and my husband had a wrap. Both came with a delicious tropical fruit salad. The soups here are awesome as well. There is also a lot of coffees offered. Very friendly and efficient service and will definitely go back!

Comfort Zone is a Hamburg staple! I love bringing my kiddos here for a quick bite. All of the breakfast sandwiches are amazing. My favorite is the Zippity-Doo-Da which has banana peppers and pepper jack on it. A little bit of heat but not too overwhelming! There's something for everyone, even the kids. Not to mention, it's a great little gift shop. Be sure to stop here when shopping in the village! Oh! The service is amazing too.

Went on my first date with my current partner of 2 years & have loved it ever since. From the brie walnut preserves melt to the quiche to the amazing soups & baked goods, there's something for everyone's personal taste. One of my favorites for a hot day is a Lake Effect, kind of like and iced capp but waaay better. It's smooth & refreshing and they have so many different flavors to choose from. I will always love it here and it's a must whenever friends or family come to town and want to see the village! Last but not least, the selection of trinkets and games and books and jewelry is so fun to look at and I've definitely gotten a few things for myself over the past 2 years, it's just too good to pass up! Here's some of my favorite finds from a few weeks ago. They are always changing it up and there's so much more inside.

Eh. Comfort Zone was just okay. The décor is nice, it's a combination of a small café and a gift shop. A lot of the items they sell are pretty cool... things you wouldn't typically find in a large department store. The desserts at the café look absolutely amazing. They have what looks like home-made pies and cakes...though they aren't advertised as home-made so maybe they are just store bought and made to look good. I've only been here for breakfast so far...so I can only comment on that food... it was very...blah. I ordered a breakfast sandwich with egg, avocado, pepper jack cheese and some kind of sauce, I also ordered the brie berry sandwich and my husband got a sandwich with eggs and banana peppers. I can't even explain how underwhelmed we were. The sandwiches looked nothing like the pictures, they were served on English muffins (ew), and they didn't even use fresh eggs...they used what Tim Horton's uses...almost like "Egg patties". For $5 per sandwich, I expected something a little better than what I could have gotten at Tim Hortons. If you want a great breakfast, spend the money and go to Spot across the street. WAY better food.

Nice little place to go for brunch. The broccoli soup was pretty good and the salad was decent. I got the pizza panini for my main meal and it definitely filled me up. The flavor was just right. The pastries were awesome. Give this place a shot! Parking wasn't so bad. Big lots around the whole area and street parking as well.

It's a beautiful property and a beautiful restaurant. The employees were consistently kind, friendly, warm and attentive. The food was genuinely spectacular and the pricing is incredible. I got the salmon sandwich and it was amazing. The bread was honestly the winner there. We also got the cream cheese pie with blueberries on top for dessert was so good it was genuinely upsetting. The food, the atmosphere, the employees--all of it was top notch for an incredible price. So, whats the problem here? Well, I would encourage you to google the ownership of this restaurant chain. As neutrally as possible, the restaurant is owned by a religious group and is staffed by members of that group. Coming here is inherently financially supporting this group and I believe every consumer needs to decide for themselves how they'd like to spend their dollars. I wasn't aware of this connection until after we were seated, a situation where trying to leave was a bit more culturally embarrassing--especially when you're with work colleagues! If this is somewhere you'd like to eat (and it would be a great choice if you did), please look into the ownership and make the decision for yourself if this is something you'd want to support.

Upon arriving, the hostess told us that the outdoor reservation actually means nothing and its first come first serve for seating. So, that wasn't great. As always, the space was great. The rooftop bar was fantastic - great weather and a live DJ made it a really fun place to hang out on a Friday night. The bar upstairs didn't have as good of a cocktail menu as inside, which was okay! We ordered our food directly at the bar. Black Smoke used to have a delicious BBQ inspired menu. They have recently updated their menu, and I wasn't impressed. We ordered the Mac and cheese croquettes, the steak flatbread, and the chips and dip. The Mac and cheese balls were good but they were very heavily seasoned with Italian seasoning - it was a little overpowering. I had heard great things about the steak flatbread - steak, goat cheese, caramelized onions, and fresh spring greens. The flatbread arrived and was cut into these little triangles and was stacked on top of eachother and the spring greens seemed like they were cooked on the pizza instead of sprinkled on after. This made the flatbread taste kind of swampy and completely negated the delicious onion and flat cheese combo going on. If you got a bite without the spring greens it was tasty. The chips and dip were the one thing I had no issues with. The chips were thick and homemade and the dip was creamy, oniony, and delicious! Overall, the bartenders were amazing, the drinks were good, and the vibes were top tier. I just won't be back for dinner any time soon.

A baker's rack to the right sells day-old bread at discounted prices (make your own croutons!) I opted for an almond (sourdough) croissant and a small coffee; I was asked if I wanted a mug or a to go cup? I was given a beautiful glazed mug - very charming! Two things worth mentioning: There's a small seating area downstairs, and five large tables upstairs. The stairs? A polite way of describing them is, "grandfathered-in". The rise/run makes it difficult to navigate if you're in thick boots, carrying a child, or have stiff knees. The pastry had a beautiful crunch. I enjoyed the almond flavor. And then I found: cherry preserves? I'm aware that "croissant et confiture" (eaten with jam) is a standard French breakfast, but it did change the mouth feel of the treat. I'd recommend this place to anyone wanting to try something earthier and beautifully executed.
