This diner/cafe has been operating in my hometown for 15-20 years I believe. I grew up in a very small one stop light town, so there aren't a helluva lot of restaurants. If you can stick around for this long, these ladies are doing something right! This is basically a breakfast early lunch spot that closes around 2. The 3 girls know how to run a breakfast place let me tell you. It's always consistent, affordable, and delicious. It's packed for breakfast daily. The specials board always has new interesting items off the menu. The breakfast is amazing, pretty much anything you can imagine you can get, hot, fresh, with constant coffee refills. This place has always fired on all cylinders and it's a joy to visit when I'm back to visit my parents in Boston, NY. I usually get the Kitchen Sink omelette which is loaded with everything but the Kitchen Sink, crispy corned beef hash, and the biscuits and gravy which are legit for a small town in the Southern Tier of Buffalo. The prices are great and it has that small town diner feel for us (which we always miss after moving from Upstate, NY to Washington, DC). The food tastes great, the wait has never been an issue. CASH ONLY - but there's an ATM on site Now that I've got that out of the way, let's talk about my experience! I arrived at 9:30am on a Friday morning. The dining room was half full of obvious locals. Everyone was looking at me as I am obviously not, lol. The server called out to me to sit wherever so I did. She came right over, gave me a menu, got my drink order, and asked if I needed a minute. Since this was my first time here I did. But before I let her go I asked about the name: Three Girls Cafe. Is it really owned by 3 women? She said it was. It used to be her mother, herself and her sister. But her mother passed away and her sister left the business so now it's just her. But she does still have a niece and other family members involved. I love that the owner waits the tables. She came back a few minutes later and I ordered a number 2: ham, eggs, home-fries, and toast. I also got a side of ham because the meal only came with 1 slice and I was in the mood to indulge. I was glad I did. It was good. My total came to $17 and change. What a deal. The food was good and tasted fresh. The eggs were a little drier than I asked for but they were fine. The service and friendly ambiance made up for it. At 43 I was by far the youngest person in the place and as the elderly gentleman at the next table left, he stopped at my table to talk motorcycles and military service for 10 minutes. Sweet guy :) I loved it. I'll be back. *edited to add: I came back 4 hours later for lunch right before the closed LOL I got the special-- beef pot pie and a chef's salad. It was great! No bottom crust which I dug because I don't need all that crust. And the gravy on top was perfect! The vegetables seemed canned or frozen but I don't care but this is a diner/cafe so for what it is it was great. And it was $15 and change this go-round so I'm happy all over again :) read more

The front room features a few tables with 'familiar faces' chatting over coffee at the diner counter . Breakfast is served until the cafe closes at 2PM. Potato pancakes are a crispy golden brown served with apple sauce and sour cream. Soups are homemade and delicious. The 'big breakfast' with two eggs any style, home fries can be ordered crispy, served with or without onions. Crispy bacon and choice of sourdough, wheat, white, rye, or raisin bread toast. My friends and I came in here to recover from a long night of being rockstars at a dueling pianos bar the night before. The menu is perfection, as were the service and the coffee. After much deliberation, I opted for mushroom and cheese stuffed potato pancakes with scrambled eggs. Two of my other friends had bacon and cheese stuffed potato pancakes with eggs as well, and another had a corned beef hash breakfast special. Everything was incredibly delicious. I also like that they offer single servings of certain items as side, like a single pancake, or a single serving of French toast. One of my friends opted for a single slice of sweet French toast to complement her savory breakfast. Our server topped off our coffees without being asked, was extremely attentive, fun, and friendly, and, honestly, everyone working on the cafe was fun. This was one of my places I bookmarked to check out for a cheap breakfast, and I'm glad I did! It's got the small town diner feel that I enjoy, although I found it funny that they separated the booths with a plastic shower curtain (I know, COVID regulations, but still) . I took my seat and ordered an OJ and a country gravy skillet and my dining companion ordered pancakes with sausage. We both wished we had looked closer at the specials board behind us, they had some great offerings, but oh well, there is always next time. Our food came out pretty quick and boy was it tasty and fulfilling! The pancakes were huge, the gravy was plentiful in the skillet ..... needless to say we both had leftovers. Service was ok, it took quite of awhile to get our check and our takeout containers , but maybe we were just anxious to watch the Bills game. Our bill came to only $28 total! Not too shabby! I've lived in Boston for over a year and somehow just discovered the Three Girls Cafe. When you walk in it's so homey. A nice small town restaurant feel. We were promptly greeted by our waitress and we sat down. I could tell right away this was a place where the locals hang out. Two men sat at the counter talking to staff. They were all giving their opinions on last weeks Bills game while drinking coffee and reading the paper. They were friendly and greeted us with smiles. We felt like part of the regular crowd. We ordered our drinks and they were brought out while we mulled over the menu. The menu is small as they only serve breakfast and lunch but it gets the job done. I ordered eggs, toast and hash browns. My mom ordered an omelette. Food came out quickly. Eggs were cooked perfectly. Prices are reasonable. Make sure you bring cash, they do no accept cards. I visited Three Girls Cafe to have breakfast with friends. I was pleasantly surprised! This is a great little gem in the country. I ordered the stuffed potato pancakes with cheese and sausage. Wow, they were amazing! The potato pancakes were crispy with the perfect amount of saltiness. The filling was basically just melted cheddar and crumbled sausage. Sooo good. The coffee is also very good and the servers topped it off frequently. You get large portions for a reasonable price. Everyone seems very friendly. My mom recently moved to the area, so we came for breakfast on a Saturday morning while I was in town. She had been before and gave it a rave review. The inside of the restaurant has some cute art and friendly sayings, which make it feel homey. It was seat yourself, but was not busy when we arrived. The staff was friendly and greeted us quickly. The prices are decent for breakfast and the menu is kept small with 1 page of breakfast options and 1 page for lunch options. I'm a big fan of pancakes, so ordered the maple cinnamon pancakes off the special blackboard menu which came with a side of eggs (ordered scrambled). The pancakes were a weird gluey consistency and had a weird flavor (not maple or cinnamon). I tried to eat them but even with syrup I had to leave most of them on the plate. If I find myself back in the area I might be willing to give the place another shot, but I will order an omelet (as my aunts omelet looked much better than my pancakes). read more

Breakfast or lunch....I chose the steak and eggs with home fries. Steak was cooked perfectly as were the eggs and potatoes. Hubby had a ham and cheese omelette which was good but a bit overwhelmed by the cheese. He also had a side of bacon which was really greasy but cooked the way he likes so...bacon gets a thumbs up from him. He also chose the raisen bread which he really liked. We were quickly seated at a booth upon arriving. The server was nice, but it seems like you have to be a local to get prompt service. Many people arrived after us and finished their food before ours even arrived. The food finally arrived 45 minutes later without an apology.
