This was our third time at this restaurant . First two times, we had an awesome breakfast. This time we left disappointed. My husband had the Mone Cristo but had a hard time finding the ham, he also said it didn't taste quite right. I had the sugar waffle that is deep fried then coated with cinnamon sugar , served with fruit, chocolate syrup and Bourbon cream sauce. This time, it tasted too much like the frying oil and was greasy. We might try again if out this way but could have had a better breakfast somewhere else. At least the service so good and the place is cute,

Not as good as in the past! Got my usual monticristo I had to look for the ham and cheese, very thin , still tasty but ?? The wife got the cinnamon waffle she said the same thing about it .

Stopped by for breakfast and opted for the simple eggs, home fries and toast. Eggs were fine sunny side up, slice of toast was buttery but the home fries almost chipped a tooth - some pieces were rock hard :( Wasn't just my plate. Hubby ordered the same thing with sausage and a pancake. Stole a bite of meat and that was good. The pancake was dry and thick. He also had a few pieces of rock hard potatoes :( Friendly service, cozy interior but brekkie was meh so we will not be coming back.

Stopped in here for lunch. They're only open for breakfast and lunch. Hours vary slightly from weekdays to weekends. I ordered the veggies quiche from the daily special menu (forgot a picture). It came with home fries. I was surprised when it was placed in front of me since I expected a pie type of slice. What I received was a brownie type slice (square). It was really good! Forgot what was in it besides peppers and onions but it tasted delightful. Sometimes the crust is 'just there' to hold everything together. This crust was light and flaky and buttery. The home fries were seasoned nicely. My husband ordered a reuben and seemed to enjoy it. The service was very good. Attentive without being bothersome. I liked that they asked if you wanted a straw with your water before automatically bring it to you. Overall, great stop. 2023-25

Reuben sandwich made with coleslaw instead of sauerkraut. No soggy bread and tastes great.

This is my first time here and definately plan to come back often. This is a nice frendly diner serving breakfast all day and lunch. Went for lunch so have not tried their coffee yet but will go for breakfast next time. Adding to the family like atmosphere, they serve their water in Mason Jars, nice touch. I have been on a personal mission to find the best Reuben Sandwich in Western New York so on this visit I ordered the Reuben. It was served with a half pickle and handmade fresh chrispy potato chips. One of the criteria I use to rate Reubens is not so much flavor (they have all tasted great) but how the sandwich is built. Most places start with a slice of some type of rye bread, put the sauerkraut on the bread, add thousand island dressing, corned beef, sometimes a slice of swiss cheese and top it with another slice of bread then grill the whole thing. What's wrong with this order of ingredients is that the sandwiches are always served with a completely limp and soggy/mushy bottom slice of bread making it pretty much impossible to pick it up. Great news, the Unbridled Cafe Reuben a little different. It doesn't matter where they put the cabbage ingredient because they use coleslaw with a mayonnaise based dressing so no liquid to soggy up the bread. I have to admit, I didn't expect a Reuben without sauerkraut to taste so good. I'm a new convert. It was absolutely delicious. I highly recommend you try it. I have one last thing to add, the staff is extremely friendly and helpful, it makes for a family like atmosphere .

This little cafe is absolutely amazing! The service is outstanding and the food is delicious! On a Sunday morning it was a little busy but the wait wasn't too bad. Our server was very kind and made sure to go above and beyond. The specials included the toffee pancakes and also lemon blueberry waffles! The pancakes were three giant plate size pancakes, which is definitely worth ordering!!! Definitely will be back... Edit... was thinking about it this morning (while I finished my delicious left overs toffee pancakes) and would love to add that the toffee pancakes reminds me of sticky toffee pudding in England!! Absolutely my favorite dessert in the entire world thanks again!!!

This is a great local place. I love their lattes. They always have fun, seasonal flavors, and they can make them with almond milk, which I typically prefer. I tried their pumpkin spice latte today and it was delicious. Breakfast was really good too. Toast is good quality and it came with some homemade jam on the side. The home fries weren't my favorite. Our server was extremely friendly and the place has a cute rustic vibe. Would recommend if you're in the area!

I am all about a good breakfast, and Unbridled Cafe came up on my radar. What a wonderful find I came across. The restaurant is spacious and very clean. The server and the rest of the staff, was very friendly. Everyone said hello and had a contagious smile. My son and I came for breakfast (all day) but they also serve soups, salads and sandwiches. Prices and quantity is on par with other places. I did not leave hungry and am actually planning to come back very soon. Blueberry pancakes- They use real blueberries and the pancake batter they use is amazing. Pancakes are the size of the plate. Omelette- I ordered the create your own. You get 3 choices for your fillings. All my choices were fresh and not greasy. Also it came with a side of potatoes and toast. Bourbon french toast- really really good.. Especially the bourbon sauce.

When NYBP had a 2hr wait for a table , the five of us gals had to come up with a plan B and decided upon this quaint cafe about 5 miles down Transit rd from the brewery . We waited only about 10 minutes until we were seated and greeted by our friendly server . I was very happy to see they were serving apple cider mimosas (pretty much the reason I wanted to go to NYBP in the first place ) and ordered one along with their take on a McGriddle breakfast sandwich . Everything was outstanding- service included . Affordable too . My bill came to just over $17 . This place is a diamond in the rough - I will be back to try more on their menu .

Unbridled Cafe is one of those places I love to take my guests when they are visiting from out of town. I can always count on a great breakfast and fantastic service. The first time I enjoyed breakfast at this East Amherst charm, I took my mom for her birthday. Neither of us had been before, so it was an absolute treat for us both. I had an omelet made my way; my mom had French toast. Our server was just fantastic. I told her it was my mom's 83rd birthday and she made my mom feel so special! She even posed for a photo with my mom, which my mom got a real kick out of. The next time I went was to take my friend Robin, who was visiting from Florida. She raved about the atmosphere, the food, and the great service. My friend Erin came up to visit (also from Florida) and also had glowing things to say. Erin and Robin are both big foodies, and Erin runs her own catering business, so when they have wonderful things to say about food, and even more complimentary things to say about service, I feel like I've chosen the perfect place to bring them. When my birthday came around this year, I knew I wanted to have my birthday breakfast at Unbridled Cafe. They did not disappoint. I love that even if it's been weeks or even months since my previous visit, I always feel like I'm walking into a place I know and a place I'm known. They may not recognize me (masks have made that difficult), but that doesn't matter. I am always treated as a known and expected guest in their home and the food is always delicious!

This afternoon we had the pleasure of dining at Unbridled Cafe in East Amherst, NY and I must say, it was an absolutely amazing food experience. From the moment I walked in, I felt a warm and inviting atmosphere that only added to the overall dining experience. The menu offered a simple yet wide range of mouthwatering options, and we decided to start off the morning off with a make-your-own omelette. We chose to fill them both with green peppers, onions, cheese, and ham, and let me tell you, it was a perfect combination of flavors. The omelette was cooked to perfection, fluffy yet with a slight crispness on the outside. The generous portion left me feeling satisfied and ready to take on the day. For our next order , we ordered the Eggs Benny, a classic dish that this cafe truly excels at. The hollandaise sauce was creamy and rich, perfectly coating the small poached eggs and ham atop an English muffin. Every bite was a delightful explosion of flavors that left me wishing I had ordered a second serving. Another highlight from Unbridled Cafe's menu was their Ruben sandwich. The corned beef was tender and juicy, blending effortlessly with the sauerkraut and Swiss cheese. The bread was toasted to golden perfection, adding a delightful crunch to each bite. Paired with a side pickle, this sandwich truly hit the spot. What truly sets Unbridled Cafe apart is not only the quality of their food, but also the exceptional service provided by their staff. The friendly and attentive waitstaff made our dining experience all the more enjoyable. Their promptness and enthusiasm for their work greatly contributed to the overall positive ambiance of the cafe. Plus they have a gift shop right in the cafe which made it so easy to shop while you wait for your table. In conclusion, we highly recommend adding Unbridled Cafe to your list of must-visit cafes. Their make-your-own omelette, Eggs Benny, and Ruben sandwich are just a few examples of the delectable delights they have to offer. Thank you to the team here Unbridled Cafe for making our visit an enjoyable one not just in the food however, the service and ambiance. Sincerely, The Essence of Travel and Discoveries, a KAMAR Media Film ProductionCompany.

I've never come here because their cinnamon rolls are so large, my roommate shares with me and my sweet tooth is satisfied. Recently, I went in to pick up someone else's order. It was my first time in there and I found it cute, with lots of natural light coming through. I'm not sure if it were the owner working, but whoever the lady was she was incredibly kind and upbeat; she even let me try a ham and cheese roll up croissant that was coming soon to the menu. I ate it on the go. It didn't make a mess at all and it was very good! It had something sweet to it so it wasn't dry, with I think some poppyseeds. It was a really nice blend of flavors and textures. Stop in and see what's in the display case :)

I stopped by on a Saturday around noon and was able to grab a parking spot practically right in front of the main entrance, but there's plenty of parking nearby thanks to the other businesses and stores nearby. I walked in and there were a few people dining in, plenty of tables to sit at . I really like the large windows, they lighten, brighten the interior and it's fun to sit, eat, and do some people watching. haha I noticed only one young lady working behind the counter, she was incredibly friendly, very warm and courteous - we chatted the whole time, she was so nice! So what did I order? Fall 2025, Kaylena Marie's re-introduced their "Specialty Rolls" with the big change being the size being "mini" compared to their normal cinnamon roll, which is HUGE. I have to say, I love the "mini" size, it really is the ideal size, pairs well with a scoop, or three, of ice cream. :) For the week of 11/18/2025-11/23/2025, the East Amherst bakery's "Specialty Mini Roll" was 'Mini Twix Roll', which is Kaylena Marie's roll drizzled with caramel and chocolate, filled with even more caramel and chocolate, then topped with crumbled Twix bar pieces and glaze. I ordered two, one for Saturday and one for Sunday. :) This roll reminded me how much I like a Twix bar, wow! The roll itself was soft, which the glaze, caramel, and chocolate only helped to soften even more. I suggest throwing the roll in the microwave for about 20 seconds to take the roll to a whole other level of deliciousness. The price for one "Specialty Mini Roll" is very reasonable, in my opinion, as it's a nice size and are fresh baked with great quality ingredients. Kaylena Marie's of East Amherst is a great café, still serving up delicious and gourmet food and treats. Plenty of parking, large, bright cheerful interior with friendly staff working. I look forward to coming back for the next "Specialty Mini Roll" that commands my attention!

The atmosphere was very diner like and we enjoyed the good warm coffee while we waited for our delicious meal! So to the food aspect: my partner got the Irish Omelette which had broccoli, corn beef hash, spinach, pepper jack cheese (his choice and we both agree it was a win). The omelette sounded overwhelming to me, but I am thankful my partner ordered it because it was good! He also ordered the English muffin. Which was also AMAZING! Now onto the western omelette, it was also wonderful. Eggs fluffy, a good amount of cheese (I picked cheddar). Everything was perfect. But the star of the show was my side of French toast. So make sure you eat them right over the bowl before you ruin your pants and shirt haha I ordered the applewood smoked bacon burger. Not because they aren't an okay place to eat, but because they've never stood out enough to me to have them be top of mind. As other reviewers have stated, they are cash only. It really says something in this day and age if you can make a business survive on cash only. People must like you enough to keep showing up with cash in hand. Of course, they also have an ATM on premises if you forgot to stop on the way. The bathroom is clean. The menu is varied (I'm not a fan of their hash browns, but I forget that I'm not and seem to order them every time I go and then remember too late, "Oh yeah, I don't like their hash browns here." Or maybe it's home fries. Whatever their potato thing is. Now that I think about it, I think it's home fries. They over-season them. Paprika, maybe? Not sure. But they are kind of dry and don't "taste right" to me.) If you want the diner experience with a really friendly staff and an okay meal, definitely bookmark Helen's for your next breakfast or lunch.
