We found this breakfast place on Yelp and it did not disappoint! Great food and service. The restaurant was bright and well decorated. Everything was so clean and fresh looking. (Including the bathrooms) We ordered two of the specials: peaches and waffle, and spinach and artichoke quiche. They were both fabulous! The quiche came with a spring salad with the restaurant's own special salad dressing. The entire town of Lewiston was peaceful and beautiful. read more

Had breakfast takeout from here on a whim and it was perfect to kick off the day. We tried the Egg mix (it's like scrambled eggs with potatoes and choice of toppings) and the Villa Breakfast. The waitress was very helpful in accommodating my milk sensitivity. Their fresh coffee wasn't bitter and very good! The restaurant felt like a small diner and was filled with locals that appear to frequent the establishment often. What a great spot for dinner! Small, intimate dining area. Between the 6 of us we tried everything on the menu - it would be hard to pick a favorite! While most of the dishes will sound familiar, the chef put his own delicious spin on everything- like the hint of rosemary in the French onion soup, & the crisp sear on the buttery salmon. Great brunch spot / diner in Lewiston. It's been open for decades and a lot of the waiters / waitresses have been there for nearly as long. And they're just as chipper and happy to serve you now, which is really a testament to how positive the environment is in here. You'll see a poster of Frank Sinatra in the main dining room and nice little tables with a glass window looking outside. My girlfriend and I had a delicious brunch for under $14. We did that by getting a full order of mixed eggs and sharing it. Even for a ravenous eater as myself, this was plenty..and the waitress herself hinted that we should do this! We chose mushrooms, tomatoes, green peppers, onions and cheese for our toppings and it was delicious euphoria in every bite! We got some hot sauce to add to it .. absolutely perfect. Served with delicious home fries as well. While the food is good, what will set this place apart is the great wait staff and awesome atmosphere. Went there for breakfast when visiting our son at Niagara University. Small place and there was a wait for a table but I can see why. The food was delicious! It took quite a while to get our food (that's why the 4 stars) but it was very busy in there and the server kept our coffees refilled while we waited. Definitely worth the wait and we will go back the next time we're at NU! read more

Villa Coffee House is a small diner located in the quaint village of Lewiston. While traveling, we stopped here for coffee and breakfast. The coffee was nothing special, but I enjoyed the prompt refills. I was a bit disappointed in the nearly 30 minutes it took for my and my wife's meals to be served. When they did arrive, they were hot, delicious and filling. My favorite part about the experience was that the Italian bread used is from the amazing local bakery, Dicamillo's. This was recommended to us by a local so we had to check it out! Upon arrival, the place looks like a small town diner with customers seated on stools along counter tops. The room is small with only a few tables but it's connected to another larger room with additional seating. The art on the wall comes from all different eras; one wall featured vintage posters of hot spots for vacationing like San Francisco and Paris while another has old 80's metal work. The modge-podge style makes you wonder if there are years and years of stories behind each relic. But no story seems to make the locals more happy than the one they have featured as their placemats titled, "Lewiston's Most Famous Visitor: Lafayette in 1825". Since it took a very long time to get our food (I wonder if they were short staffed because other reviews said the service was quick?) I decided to read the story of Lafayette's visit. After I finished, I was left feeling empty and wondered if that was the most boring story I had ever read and in fact, it was. If the title of the placemat is correct, then it might be time to get some new and exciting visitors. You know..., add a little bit of spice to the history books! My first choice would be Obama or maybe even a popular musician like Lady Gaga to go along with the diner's artistic décor. We ordered the short stack of pancakes and mixed eggs of bacon, cheese and onion because the waitress said it was hands down, the best. I will start with the pancakes - they are delicious and have a crispy outside but gooey inside. They are bathed in butter so this is not for dieters or those trying to stick with 'lite' foods. The mixed eggs came with sour dough bread that had this same crispy-crunchy texture. Our mixed eggs were on the good side but not outstanding like the pancakes. The coffee served had an 'earthy' taste which means it was similar to dirt. Do not drink the coffee unless you absolutely need caffeine immediately! I may be the only one that feels this way, but I immediately get grossed out if the entrance to the restroom is right up against the seat of a diner which is how the set-up of Villa Coffee House is. I did feel better when I opened the door and saw that there was at least a small hallway separating eating diners to the toilet. Fewwwww! All in all, I enjoyed my time and can only say good things about the food. On my way out, I noticed another knick-knack that I just had to take a picture of - a wooden gumball machine featuring a man with a mustache! You turn his nose and out shoots a gumball! My husband and I decided to try a new Sunday breakfast spot- in Lewiston! We live in Hamburg so a lovely morning drive was 'just the ticket'. This had recently been reviewed in the Buffalo News so we made the trip. We were not disappointed. My scrambled eggs were so light and fluffy( similar to what I had enjoyed in Paris!). The bacon was crispy and flavorful. My husband deems himself a pancake connoisseur and even he was pleased!! Service was prompt and friendly. I can see this restaurant outgrowing it's current location if all the food is as good as our breakfast! We will be back. read more

My wife and I stopped in for breakfast on a busy Saturday morning. We were lucky to find get a table. This restaurant is a little cozy diner located in a strip mall just a few blocks from town. I had the blueberry pancakes, a side of sausage, and a cup of coffee. I received 3 plate size pancakes with just the right amount of blueberries. The sausage consisted of 2 patties. My wife ordered the mushroom and cheese omelet with the Italian toast. We were very satisfied with our meals even though it took a while to get them. The meals came out one table at a time. As a coffee snob, I thought the coffee was very good. The service was very good. The prices were very reasonable considering I come from the NY/NJ area. There was plenty of parking. A tasty surprise in Lewiston On a whim and because we hadn't been to the Villa since the original owners retired, we slipped in on a Tuesday just before lunch. This is not a large place but it was quiet enough to get a table. This place serves breakfast and lunch only and words of caution, the weekend crowds are crazy according to one of the owners. I had a simple breakfast of eggs, sausage, home fries and get this, a homemade English muffin. My guy had the breakfast enchilada. Both meals were flavorful, prepared well and to order. They also offer sandwiches, homemade soups, quiche and pancakes, alot of menu bang for a pretty small place. The staff was helpful, the place clean. Great experience. For years I had never gone to the Villa coffeehouse because I saw it as a regular sort of Cafe. When it came to breakfast I knew that there were plenty of places to get the regular pancakes and eggs combos. When I saw that this particular restaurant was newly run by the owner of Rue Franklin, one of the best French restaurants in the area, I had to try it out. Needless to say the smaller additions and specials take this coffee shop from run-of-the-mill to becoming a must dine spot for anyone visiting Lewiston. Those looking for a reliable hearty breakfast of bacon eggs and pancakes will find those items still available, but the specials, sandwiches and additions will satisfy those who are looking for something different and unique. Just enjoyed the best dinner I've had at any restaurant in a long time. Every course served was top-notch. We started with the asparagus salad and a shrimp appetizer that were fabulous. We moved on to a salmon based main entree that was grilled perfectly and accompanied with parsnips and an unbelievable sauce. Also tried the fettuccine with short ribs that were spectacular. Finished with a rhubarb/strawberry/ice cream crumble that was the perfect ending. The chef approaches the dishes with a bend toward French cuisine fine tuning his creations with his personal touches. Day two was a surprise visit and we were the ones surprised by the lintel bean, ham, bacon etc. with toast and coffee. Day three was our last day in NY state. We went, as in our opinion, there was no other place that served a breakfast like this FOR THE PRICE. Four squares of 'bread pudding' with ham bits covered with 2 pork chops and 2 eggs. New owners. Tommy G retired. The new owners scrubbed the place like an operating room, fixed all the broken tables, fixed the broken chairs. Got rid of the coin drop tower. They even went for reprinting menus, but didn't change the menu. They haven't put the special board back up, and Tommy took all his 'artwork' home so the place has all the atmosphere of an operating room too. Same food, didn't notice he was gone till I ran in to him at - get this - Red Pepper. His first ever Vietnamese experience. Still a reliably fast breakfast and lunch place.
