It's fair to say the neighborhood is, "in transition", but the blocks around this restaurant are lovely. Every shop is a small business owner, with none of the chain stores that plague downtown. We were seated immediately. The restaurant does breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and has a nice list of wines and coffees. Our waiter was very friendly and professional. The French press coffee was spectacular, and the Chantilly cream I ordered as a side was spritzed into my coffee cup with every refill. (I always say, "yes" to schlag Sahne!) The menu has about 12 choices of gallettes (savory) and 12 choices of crepes (sweet). Both are thin buckwheat pancakes with extensive, yummy fillings. It was hard to choose just one! I opted for the galette Thalassa, which is filled with a mesclun salad, cherry tomato halves, mandolined radish and cucumber and red onion strings, covered with lox, capers, a dab of sour cream and a teaspoon of black caviar. It was a feast! My husband had the galette Savoyard, with a scrambled egg and prosciutto. I can tell he liked it by his silence after it was put in front of him!
