Super small diner in an unassuming town. You can tell this is a local spot. Everyone knows each other and there is great conversation. Super great service, the owner served us. Great stories, great food! She made us feel like we were locals and part of the group even thou it was our first time in. very small inside, so be prepared.

Upon walking into Sunshine Cafe, it feels like you have walked through Grandma's door! The owner greets you with a smile and a "good morning, how are you?!" She let's you know the specials right off too! The food was delicious! Coming from home cooking in West Virginia, and living in the south in SC for 4 years, this was some amazing home cooking that reminded me of home like Nanny cooks! They even had gluten free pancakes and toast. I opted for the gluten free pancakes! They did not disappoint! Corey opted for an omelet with home fries and toast. All the food was cooked perfectly. From the crispy bacon (not pictured, Imay have ate it in excitement before taking a picture), to the fluffy scrambled eggs, to the crunchy outside and soft inside of the home fries. Extra bonus, the home fries came with sauté onions and peppers! All in all, if you are anywhere Niagara Falls, NY, go visit the Sunshine Cafe. It will leave you with a sunny smile and warm vibes for days to come.

Nice little local spot for a delicious breakfast and friendly service. I would highly recommend giving this place a try!

The third breakfast (Day 3, Meal 1) of our Western New York family vacation was Sunshine Café. In general, we tend to love mom-and-pop diners like this, and it did not disappoint! Arriving at 6:55am, we snagged the large half-booth table at the front of the restaurant, and after placing our drink orders with the friendly, relaxed waitress, proceeded to look over the surprisingly large menu. Everyone was able to find something interesting to order for breakfast; I selected the Steve-a-Rino Sandwich, which was egg, bacon, and cheese on sugar-dusted French toast. While labeled a 'sandwich,' I still ate it with a fork and knife! Everyone in our family agreed that their food was very good, and the coffee drinkers appreciated the plentiful refills. Since we had a schedule to keep, I was also very appreciative of the restaurant's speedy, attentive staff, as our family of five was able to get in and out in under an hour. PROS: expansive menu, attentive service, reasonable prices, great tasting food, lovely murals on the outside of the building (which was very helpful for parking) CONS: our only quibble was that the establishment was cash only, but to their credit that information was well-posted, and they had an on-site ATM Overall we rate Sunshine Café as being Very Good, and would definitely return any time we were in the area!

Hometown food can't be beat. Beats the touristy BS from the local attractions and the staff are real American down home folks! If this southern boy will eat here then you know mommas breakfast is great!

Stopped in for breakfast! A great little cafe, highly recommend! It's cash only and the owner Lisa was so sweet! Ambiance is very welcoming, staff and customers were friendly and fun to chat with. We felt right at home! Thanks for the amazing breakfast!! And memorable photo outside

We came here after staying at a hotel just down the street that wanted to charge a lot for their breakfast., and we were glad we came here. The owner also owns a farm nd supplies various items and is very aware of nutrition and food considerations. She was also very friendly, since it was not real busy, we had great service and interesting conversation with her. The food was provided quickly and was very good at a very reasonable price. Inflation has required price adjustments and a sign stated that all menu items were raised 41.00 each. Still reasonable pricing compared to many places. You should also know that cash is the only way to pay, but a sign also altered customers of that fact.

Service from the bartender was great. He offered up some suggestions, which I needed because they have a large menu loaded with so many appetizing and amazing looking options. I started with their potstickers... They came out with a hard, fried shell and the dipping sauce went nicely with them. Enough to share, or even enough to enjoy and still have room for an entrée. My main dish was their Chicken & Waffle. This isn't some ordinary chicken and waffle, it's definitely an amped up version, made with unique and interesting ingredients, culminating in great flavors! The chicken was so large and very tender - it was amazing! The bacon and sauce on top went with it nicely, and the chive waffle was great with it! Each bite was definitely amazing! This was a great experience, I can see why they have so many reviews and such high stars, those are well-deserved stars!! Definitely recommend stopping in here!

The atmosphere was calm and relaxing, which made it even more enjoyable. I ordered fried calamari along with single chicken wings tossed in an Asian sweet and spicy sauce--both dishes were flavorful and satisfying. The combination of crispy textures and bold flavors really stood out. What made the experience even better was the service. Our server was amazing--attentive, friendly, and truly great at her job. She made us feel welcome from the start. I always enjoy trying new places, and this visit did not disappoint. If you're looking for an American restaurant near Niagara Falls, this is definitely worth trying. We ended the meal with a delicious dessert, which was the perfect sweet finish to a great experience.

Sure, a 24 hour restaurant is great…read morewhen you're hungry at 2am, but when it is 10am on a Sunday and you have other options, maybe this shouldn't be your first choice. When we arrived there was a sheet of paper that you were supposed to put your name on along with how many people are in your party. We found it peculiar, especially as the list continued to grow thus quickly wasting paper, as the hostess didn't even glance at it as she looked right at us and whispered "for 3?" She led us to a booth and whispered a few more things under the din of other customers as she handed off some menus. We ordered beverages from our waitress. I got water, which comes with a slice of lemon and melting ice (I routinely kept mopping under my glass as it sweat) and a refill that was offered once my plate was clear. My friend went for coffee, which came in a disposable cup as there was a backlog on doing dishes. She was promised a real cup that never got delivered. It enabled her to pour a second cup to go, as she had left the small pot with a handful of creamer and much needed sugar, as the coffee was what she described as awful tasting. Mom wanted Pepsi, but this is a Coke establishment. I had studied the menu online in preparation for coming. Despite having chosen the correct location, the offerings do not match up. I knew I wanted pancakes, and online they offer stacks of double berry banana pancakes without having to get a slam. That is not the case dining in. On the breakfast sides menu, there is a two cake plate, and I asked if I could add berries, which I was denied, despite both the website and the Amherst location allowing me to customize them at an additional cost. It came with a mound of butter on top that I pushed to the side in favor of using a packet of strawberry jam. Wasn't genius, but at that price, I wasn't expecting much. Mom and my friend both went for bigger portions. The omelet looked great, and she even enjoyed the included mushrooms (which given her tastebuds is a welcome surprise) that came with. They both ordered rye as their chosen toast. Mom was given white and my friend was given mostly untoasted bread. Neither complained about their eggs, though neither sang their praises either, because when it comes down to it, you're here for the prices, not the quality or wait time. The to go containers aren't the most stable, and the bathroom has flies and no seat protectors left. They do however have the advantage of the AARP discount, which sadly may be the only reason they'll be back. Me, I think I'll sit next round out.

And given that we were going to arrive in the morning, I assumed I'd be ordering something breakfast-adjacent. However, we were handed full menus when we sat down, so I was basically forced to order the same thing I always get at Bob Evans: the Double Cheese Pot Roast Dip ("Our signature slow-roasted pot roast, caramelized onions, melted American cheese and real provolone cheese on grilled sourdough bread served with homestyle beef gravy for dipping"). It arrived a little while later and was as incredible and delicious as ever. I just love everything about this sandwich, from the plentiful, ultra tender beef to the ooey gooey cheese to the perfectly grilled exterior. And the whole thing is enhanced by the excellent gravy that's included. The fries are great, too. It's an enormous sandwich, so I didn't think I'd order anything else, but I couldn't resist the call of the Cup of Sausage Gravy & Biscuits ("A cup of Bob Evans sausage gravy served with freshly-baked biscuits"). I regret nothing because it was exquisite. It's so heavy but just so, so good. Thank god there isn't a Bob Evans near me because I'd be dead now from ordering that dish way too often. The ambiance was as homey and inviting as I remembered, and the service was super friendly. I love Bob Evans.
