Went to pick blueberries and saw this cute little Diner. I'm glad we did! Great menu with daily specials. I ordered their Corn Beef Hash with homemade bread and eggs over easy. Yummy! My wife just had eggs over easy with homemade bread. Delicious! Service was terrific. We never had to ask for more coffee and our waitress always made sure we were pleased with our meals. Definitely will be back to try their chicken and biscuits on Wednesday! read more

Stopped here for lunch with a few friends after a visit to Lady Fatima Shrine ( a must see!). It's a very down-home basic diner in the middle of nowhere. Lol at least to me since I'm not familiar with the area. Everything seemed reasonably priced. My friends ordered chicken & biscuits and a southwest chicken wrap. I & one other friend ordered the fried bologna sandwich. The sandwich was good except the roll seemed too small. I mentioned the pricing before specifically because the bologna sandwich was listed at $6.50, or so I thought. When the bill came it was $11. Since the other person who also ordered it didn't say anything I thought I must have seen it wrong & just paid the bill. Well, to my surprise, when I got home & checked my pictures, it was $6.50! I'm not sure if it was just a mistake on the bill or if the menu is that much off on what they're currently charging. Either way, it left a bad taste in my mouth, not caused by the actual good. Based on the food and the service, I'd probably recommend this place but not sure after that incident. 2024-40 read more

Love the breakfast bowl. The owner is a sweetheart and this is definitely such a cute place to have a hearty meal.

I've ate there many times and the food is just so so they could do better if they put a little effort into it you know and it's very pricey

It's edible. Not the best. Eggs overcooked, home fires burned and the pancakes were average. I've been here several times because it's convenient but I'd never go out of my way. It's consistently average or below average. Service is good and the people are nice. read more

Little small with a chair that was uneven that drove me crazy, but cute place overall. Food was decent to good, wouldn't get the eggs Benedict again, but other things on the menu looked good, and would order something else next time. Would go back again. read more

Great service and efficient friendly staff! Great specials and soup. We go there often, and have a great experience every time.

Quaint, cute, and delicious; the staff was as sweet as my wife's carrot cake waffle --the best waffle she's ever had. I had the egg breakfast bowl and a side of the candied Cajun bacon. Utterly perfect meal. read more

This is a down home relaxed Cafe. If you are looking for fancy, this isn't it. Otherwise this place is a hidden gem. Huge menu for breakfast and lunch and everyone loved their choices. Service is great and friendly. Prices are super reasonable. read more

The food is amazing. A very friendly atmosphere and the service is too! Not to mention how quick and fresh is the food!

Go for breakfast every once in a while. Very good food. Great service. This place is usually very busy at breakfast time. Will return again.

I would highly recommend this restaurant the service is excellent and the staff are super nice. I ate here once the food was high quality and I would definitely visit again. read more

See those 5 stars? That's not for decor or high end dining. But if you are looking for good food and friendly hard working servers and cooks who help make a satisfying experience, head for the Hill-vue. The menu offers homemade soups, house baked bread and all the breakfast and lunch items that make for a good family restaurant. We have had this place in rotation for years. Today Mark had mixed eggs with mushrooms, cheddar and sausage. I enjoyed a Not so hungry" plate with 1 egg, 1 pancake, 2 slices of bacon and a 1/2 order of home fries. Everything was well prepared. We brought enough food for a lunch for both of us. Don't get rattled by the flamingo curtains and fish related items on the walls..just chuckle while you chow down on some really tasty food read more

The place was awesome and folks were super friendly and hospitable. Came back for a second time and had to take some home with me

Fantastic breakfast here!!! Definitely worth stopping here!!! Friendly service and good food!!!

Great breakfast for a great price. The staff is always professional and personable. I highly recommend this small town diner.

Best cafe within an hour of anything. Affordable and GREAT food like mom cooked it haha. My girlfriend and I enjoyed it and I recommend it to anyone in the area! read more

We ended up here the other day because my mother in law's favorite diner was closed for the week. Service is excellent. The interior is interesting. At first I thought they were going for some sort of Florida vibe due to the flamingo curtains, but the decor is otherwise nautical in general with posters for everywhere from the Bahamas to San Francisco. There's even a swordfish (I think, never saw the front end) behind the counter. Food is typical diner fair. The toast is really thick. I'm not sure I'd make a special trip here, but it's above average for sure. read more

This classic American diner serves up charm in equal proportion to its oversized Texas toast and generous omelettes. Everything tasted fresh and real, even the cream on the hot chocolate. The carrot cake waffles are thinner than traditional Belgian waffle but very sweet, so you would not want more. Topped with cream cheese icing, they are a definite recommendation to try. Everyone left satisfied in our varied group. My son ordered his omelette with almost everything in it, including chicken, home fries, cheese, and veggies. It was so good, he thought they should add his custom creation to the menu. The peanut butter pancakes had peanut butter chips, not tons of peanut butter so it was not overwhelming with peanut butter, excellent choice. read more

Mom-n-Pop kinda restaurant, also called Hill Vue. Rustic interior. I ordered a Western omelet with a side of hash browns. I think they must cut their bread with a meat cleaver - the slices are huge!! :-) A great meal, even if it was nearly 11am and by all rights I should have ordered off of the lunch menu. Service was attentive and all of the wait staff was friendly. Parking is kinda shared with the place next door, which works out well, as Hill Vue closes at 2pm daily and the place next door is a bar/restaurant that opens later. No military discount offered - I asked. read more

Love hill vue! Great little country setting diner style restaurant! I been by here many times and always noticed how busy this place is in the morning, so I had to stop one day and give it a try! Today was the day! The breakfast is fantastic! Huge portions at amazingly cheap prices! There wasn't anything I could find wrong here once so ever! Fast and friendly service with with a smile as well! Absolutely I'll be back! Now I know what all the fuss is about! Stop on in while your out taking a trip to the country or plan to visit the falls area! read more

I came here from out of town. It looks very small from the outside, but the food is some of the best breakfast food I've ever had. I got the "not so hungry man" and my boyfriend got the "hungry man". Would recommend! read more

This place is so cozy and cute. I have gone here a few times over the years with some close friends and have never had a bad experience! Definitely worth checking out, and their prices are so reasonable you don't feel guilty for going out! read more

Went here for breakfast and I had never been so I didn't know what to expect. Basically it's a small diner with friendly staff who work their butts off. They serve delicious food and the prices are great. As far as diners go, this one does it well. read more

Biscuits and gravy are the best here! I never really thought about going into this place until this past Saturday. It's definitely not fancy but who cares when the food is pretty darn appetizing and not over priced either. I had the biscuits and gravy with eggs and very fresh cut up fruit and coffee; my husband had biscuits gravy and some kinda big boy breakfast with pancakes meat eggs potatoes and coffee all for $28 and the portions are good size almost perfect if you're really hungry. I'll be back Friday to check out breakfast or maybe lunch even. I didn't take pics of food but I will next time. I've already recommended this place twice since last week that's how overly surprised I was maybe also because I'm not a breakfast person. Try it out service is great too read more

good food. that's the most important part. I would go back and went today for breakfast. It is worth having good food and supporting a local business. They could improve by having salad with romaine or anything other than Iceberg as all are Iceberg. service was super fast! tip: rye toast is good read more

By far my favorite breakfast place. Great friendly staff, unique menu items. The owner likes to "tinker" in the kitchen as she likes to put it. My favorite was her Cajun candies bacon. It's a must have for any bacon lover. Just wish she would put it on the menu permanently. read more

I've given Hillview so many chances and I finally feel like I have to speak on their service. The food is great, however I have never one single time ordered something and had it come out correctly. I have ordered soup on multiple occasions and gotten a half filled bowl, not anywhere near worth the price of $4.50. I have ordered a burger 2 times and asked for no cheese and gotten cheese on it both times. The food again is great, but good luck with ordering. No matter how specific I am, I have never gotten my order correct. read more

Don't let the outside fool u...it's so very cute inside! Met up with about 10 family members for breakfast and didn't know what to expect..maybe just eggs, bacon, and toast.. but they had a big specials board that featured a unique bunch of delicious stuff including quiche and avocado toast on homemade bread!! (ALL the breads, except the rye is made in-house... big thick slices that were wonderful!) I got the avocado toast on the wheat version of that gorgeous bread with a fruit cup... caveman took advantage of the make-ur-own omelet by filling it with meat and Swiss.. lots of eggs and bacon with that bread were ordered, the quiche amounted to about a quarter of the pie (huge!) and was apparently delicious, and the littlest relative got a short stack of pancakes that he loved. There are several "scrambles" that looked good too! Small place with lovely servers that were very sweet.. coffee filled frequently and the bathroom was clean. Great little find for us when we wanted to extend our stay with out of town relatives through breakfast! read more

The best breakfast bowl (with sausage gravy!) that I have ever eaten (and coming from a southern gal, you know this means something!) Great country atmosphere and lovely staff. Definitely a win for a savory breakfast place. read more

We just crossed the border, waited in line a long time, and we were HUNGRY! This little place was perfect. My husband got a three-egg omelette with sausage, Swiss and mushrooms and called it a five-star. I had the "Not as hungry" hungry man breakfast with one egg over easy (perfectly cooked,) French toast (delicious) and nice spicy sausage links and REAL crispy home fries chunks, with skins. Yum! A real maple syrup option would be wonderful. Service was instantaneous, friendly, and attentive. read more

We asked the locals for the best little breakfast spot and they recommended Hill Vue Cafe. The food was AMAZING! We were not disappointed.
