When I walked in the waitress looked at me and didn't say anything, so I said "table for one" and she said "you can sit there" and gestured to the table I was standing besides. If this is a type of place that seats yourself, there should be a clear sign saying so. I sat down and she got me a menu. She came back with my drink and I told her I know what I want and she held up a finger for me to wait and said it'll be a few minutes. There was one other group there with me and maybe a couple other tables already sat. If the waitress can't handle the amount of tables there, please hire more staff. She took my order without asking how I wanted my burger done but it didn't take too long for my food, maybe ten minutes. She handed it to me with no napkins (burger and fries is a messy meal) and no Greek sauce to go with the Greek burger. She got me them when I asked. The dirty bathroom with no paper towels was a cherry on top of disappointing service. The food was amazing but the service and environment didn't match it. My suggestions: a sign that says "please seat yourself", more staff or training of current staff and more upkeep on customer spaces

We sat at a table and given menus. A menu board out front offered root beer floats so I ordered one. Haven't had one in years! It was delicious and came with an extra side of root beer to add as you drank it. A bigger menu than expected! Nothing crazy or unusual and I ordered a Pittsburgh salad. Regular iceberg salad mix with a few tomatoes, onions, French fries, a hard boiled egg that was discolored from over cooking and some rather chewy steak (sirloin). The dressing came in a sealed soufflé cup. The waitress was nice and nothing was awful but it could have been so much nicer if a little care was put into the thought and preparation. Bathroom was a little beat up and smelled. Based on the locals, I may have missed the mark. I'd go back and try a melt or their enormous hamburger challenge. The place was fun but mediocre.

Ambiance inside is classic city style diner with murals and drawings on the walls and mostly booths with red cushioned seats. The outside isn't all that inviting. Just go in and seat yourself and enjoy the great food, service and reasonable prices. I ordered a build your own omelet and my SIL had the 2-2-2. All the food was prepared properly as ordered. My omelette was one of the best that I've had in WNY. I frequently go out for breakfast to a number of local places and am very critical of how omelets are made. Tom's is one of the few that do it right. Home fries were made from scratch with skin on baby reds and were cooked precisely. Pancakes were large, fluffy and delicious. Portions were generous, ingredients were fresh, and service was prompt and friendly. What more can you ask? I highly recommend. It's even worth a small road trip.

They have booth seating, counter seating for one (or two) and offer outdoor seating with a little picnic table, shaded area and they also accept cash/credit. On the menu, there's pig, beef and chicken items, even a fish fry. They're great for breakfast, lunch and dinner, with or without friends/family. Known for their BBQ, in a variety of flavors, it's simply finger-licking delicious! I like coming here for breakfast mostly, love me some good home fries and a juicy steak.
