    Wings

Went for dinner on a Monday night which conveniently was .50 wing night. they are for a variety of flavors and preparations for the wings which were great and I tried the House sauce and medium. Both were good with the house sauce being the stand out for me. It sort of had a honey sweetness to it but I can't pin down one of the other flavors there. I could of taken the wings a bit crispier, but if I were to return I'd just asked for that next time. Despite how busy it was and a special for the night, it didn't take long for the wings to come out. Also had a beer which was cheap. My service experience was pretty standard. I ordered at the bar and my food was brought to my table. They did check in on me at the table and I just paid at the bar when I was done eating. Note this place is cash only.

We discovered our new favorite the weekend before quarantine. We came on a Friday night for our sons' birthday. I'd been wanting to try it, and the place our sons originally picked out was packed. They have a bar and a restaurant with inexpensive diner food, but it's higher quality than we've ever had for diner food. My husband had an angus burger made medium rare to order. That right there is above and beyond the basic medium well burgers most diners sell, but the price was still reasonable. It tasted so great, we both came back for one that Sunday. I had the beer battered fish fingers, which were amazing. I love fish fries but a whole fish can be overwhelming. These were more manageably sized and tasted just as good, if not better. One of my sons had mild wings that were just right for him. The other had his usual chicken tenders and fries. They were juicy and not overcooked. Service was great both times we came. They are currently offering to-go. I look forward to our next meal there. For now we hope to patronize them as often as we can. I've been thinking about the fish fingers all week.

I was in Olcott today with a friend who has a cottage there. She suggested we stop at a local 'hole in the wall" Maxwell's for lunch. Her words and she was right. The restaurant is old diner style. Though she said they had an awesome BLT sandwich. The place was an old fire station and has a lot of items on the walls reminisce of those days. This being the off season the bar is closed in the afternoon and the restaurant area was empty. We walked around the dark bar. I'm told they have a great buffet when the Bill's are playing and also a pretty good Taco Tuesday. Also decent prices on drinks. So we were the only customers. We both ordered the BLT on rye bread with a side of sweet potato fries. I have to say it was the best BLT I've ever had! The bread was toasted perfectly and there was an over abundance of bacon. Hey if I'm going to splurge and eat bacon I like getting a lot! The side of sweet potato fries were pretty good also. I saw the one and only other review on this place and my experience was nothing like theirs. My friend said she's been there many times as a neighborhood regular and never had any problems with the service.

Food is good and it definitely has local flavor. If you are looking for fine dining this is not the place to go.

Open Air Bar is a solid establishment for anyone who enjoys cold drinks, good people, and sitting around outside pretending they're not checking the time. The drinks were cold enough to make me question whether they have their own weather system behind the bar. I saw the wings. THE WINGS. They looked absolutely fantastic. Did I order them? No. Apparently I enjoy making poor decisions and living with the consequences. So I cannot officially confirm that they taste as good as they looked, but they were putting on a pretty convincing performance from across the room. The patio is great, and the fireplace seating areas is even better. Very comfortable, very relaxing, and an excellent place to sit while wondering if ordering another drink counts as dinner. Everyone has always been friendly the times I've been there, which is becoming increasingly suspicious because I'm not used to establishments where people actually seem happy to see you. Jk jk 5 stars. Would recommend. Would return. Will probably order the wings next time so I can finally complete my investigation.

When we were seated indoors initially, we were not pleased. It is excessively loud inside with fellow diners chatting. It might have something to do with the acoustics. We could not even hear each other chatting, my friend and I. Food 4/5 taste of the shrimp tacos with what appeared to be a sweet coconut rice was quite tasty. My seafood wrap was meh. Rather bland and dry. Too much wrap and not enough meat. Both entrees were $26 each. I think that's a bit pricey for a wrap sandwich especially. We ordered house wine, which was $10 a glass. Our Bill came to $97 without tip. Of which $30 was alcohol. I think we're paying more for the scenic location, which really is charming. The band was the attraction for us. We would've liked to sit around the fire pit after dinner to hear the band longer, but there was no seating available in that area. It would be nice to have more available in that respect. We were told that they close for the season the third week of September. So it is a seasonal destination. We saw a ton of servers, working hard, running around and bringing food and drinks to all the diners. Our server was also very good.

The Manager "Michael" also was walking around meeting customers showing his concern that customers were happy with service. It's not often you see the management interacting with customers but Michael is probably the reason this restaurant was so busy. The atmosphere was great and they even have live music. We were glad to find the Sunset Bar and Grill. Thank you for a wonderful evening

The service was really good, and staff was solicitous and friendly, despite it being quite busy. The food was delicious. The memu was typical fare, but with added flair. Side sauces for apps and sandwiches. I got a huge chicken sandwich with bacon and provolone cheese, and a beer and the price was very reasonable. To top it off, they had live music, a singer, guitarist, Kevin White, who was really enjoyable, and took requests! I would recommend this place highly.

I was surprised to see I haven't written a review but I always have a good experience here! For my mom's birthday, she wanted to grab a beer flight and dinner at Live Edge Brewing. We arrived on a Saturday around 4:45pm and took a parking spot close to the entrance. They have a good-size parking lot so no concerns about finding a space. We walked in and saw the "wait to be seated" sign and soon afterward, a young woman came over and asked how many in our party and where we'd like to sit. The three of us decided to sit on their back patio. We picked a table and our waitress soon followed with drink/food menus. All of the tables outside had umbrellas to help shield from the sun, which on this Saturday was out but the temperature was perfect and there was a slight breeze to cool it down a little. The one oddity we had was that our drink menus didn't match as my menu had more taps listed compared to the others I was sitting with, so I ended up getting a drink in my flight they never saw. I slight hiccup but honestly, you can't be too upset with a drink in your hand! Our waitress was young and incredibly personable, friendly, accommodating, answering all our questions about the food and customizing our orders how we wanted them. We might have let it slip that it was my mom's birthday - Our waitress brought her a birthday cake shot to celebrate, which she loved! Our waitress let us take our time sampling our beer flights before placing our food orders. The wait time for our food was very reasonable, maybe 10-15 minutes, I can't remember as we were having too good a time chatting and sipping. For dinner, I ordered their Nashville Hot Chicken Sammy, which is a hand-breaded toaster-oven-baked chicken breast topped with provolone cheese, pickles, and their Nashville hot sauce between a brioche bun and served with a side of tater tots (a small upcharge from their default chips). The sandwich was delicious! Now, for you spice lovers, I didn't find this sandwich very spicy, it was more about the flavor, the tang of the sauce. I didn't mind it not being that spicy, the flavor was excellent! The pickles were thick and had a nice crisp to them and the provolone cheese paired so well with it all. The tater tots were fried perfectly with a crispier exterior but hot, pillowy-soft interior - For the small upcharge, ~$3.00, they were worth it. The portion sizes were perfect as I was perfectly full, I wasn't uncomfortable. The price of my meal was reasonable as well, especially seeing how everything's costing more in 2026. Live Edge Brewing is not only a family favorite but for me, it's a hidden gem. The friendly, laid back, yet still attentive service and country atmosphere have us continuing to come back each New Year's Eve, and now, this could become a new birthday tradition!
