Lock 34 was the choice for this week's family lunch on our way home from our adventures. We arrived and walking through the expansive patio/bar area I was thinking that this place is going to be something good. Within moments of walking in to the big dining area which gave off a high end feel the hostess had us seated and the waitress had the drinks coming in record time. By the time she came back we were ready to order. We asked for the kids finger meal, Well our waitress Maggie clearly knew what it's like to dine with kids, our little helpers food came first and in record time. Super crispy chicken and fries which were reviewed as "super awesome ". I got a cup of French onion soup, it had a good layer of cheese and was full of onions, even on a 80 degree day that soup satisfied. The misses got the chicken bacon ranch pizza, which came out with a seriously generous covering of chicken and bacon and a nice perfectly cooked cheese/dough. Fantastic flavor and very well made. The garlic parm wings were great, came out extra crispy and saucy....this was definitely a house made sauce, it was well made and worthy of a French fry sopping. I was pleasantly surprised they were also quite meaty. I'm also a bleu cheese fan, theirs was chunky and had a familiar tang to it. I'm a huge fan of great service and good food. Lock 34 is a nice and clean bar in Lockport without a bunch of riff raff. When the weather is nice, enjoy the outdoor covered patio that features its own bar. Plenty of TVs here for sports, dart boards, etc. You can throw a private party here too. I havent lived in this area in a long time, but they used to have some excellent chicken wings too! I like that there is outdoor covered seating as well as indoor seating. The menu has a variety of options such as fryer food, salads, burgers, wood fire pizzas and sandwiches. The service was not good at all. I had to go get waters refilled multiple times because no one came to do so until we were almost done eating. My fish didn't arrive until about 10 minutes after everyone else was served; when it arrived it looked great but was overcooked and mushy. I didn't hear complaints about anyone else's food, but no rave reviews either. We asked for blue cheese twice and it never came, so we went in to get it ourselves. Never had a bad meal from Lock 34. The wings, burgers, pizzas, pulled pork nachos and Ruben's are excellent. The service was a bit slow, but they were very busy as it was a Saturday night. Terrible. Ordered wings over the phone and went to pick up order. They said about 20 mins. We gave them 30 mins. We arrived and waited an additional 20 mins. Ordered a beer while we waited and waited and waited. An hour later wings were out. Got home and 3-4 wings were undercooked. Most if not all were rubbery and definitely NOT extra crispy. Flavorless and bland. Wings were all different shapes and sizes and seemed deformed. Will never ordered from here again. Side note: about 3 weeks prior we had gone to this place for a night out. Arrived at 10 pm on a Saturday night with zero people at bar and the staff turned the lights off on us and shut bar down shortly before 11pm. On a Saturday night ?! This is a difficult Review to write.... because everything was so perfect. Like, they turned it up to 11. And where do you go from there? We came up for live music at 80 Main and immediately found convenient parking in front and in a large lot behind. A large heated pavilion thing next door to Lock 34. Bar service was essentially immediate.. Maybe waited 30-40 seconds for service while their attentive staff was taking orders, delivering food at the bar .. An arugula pizza came out and a patron was wondering if that's exactly what she ordered... And Sheila was asking "is that okay? Is that what you ordered? Is it okay, can I make you another?" I'm not sure I've seen bar staff focus on one customer's satisfaction ever....and I worked restaurants for 6 years! Absolutely remarkable.. Super pleased! read more

This place is a mix of high and low dining tables and a large bar inside and a heated enclosed outdoor patio with another bar. This place does take reservations and would recommend having one , especially on the weekend. We order burgers and an order of onion rings. Our burgers were delicious, moist and juicy and just the way we ordered them. We enjoyed having one thick burger and the house made chips were very tasty as well. The onion rings were good with a thick batter and properly cooked, but not plentiful for a basket side order. The wait staff was friendly and efficient and it was nice to see a manager in the floor helping with the flow. There is street parking in front and a large lot on the back side of the restaurant . The restrooms were clean , modern and not cramped. Do not that their are a few stairs to enter the restaurant and bar from the main entrance. This place was a mix of all aged adults the evening we went. I noted there was wood toddler high chair , but it would only work if you had a low table . They do have free trivia nights and some evenings have DJs (with a cover charge). We enjoyed our food and service and the ease of parking . read more

I have been coming to lock for yearssss. Service is always a 10/10 and so is the food and drinks! I had the rodeo burger and it hit the spot! Our first meal out since the pandemic began. Plenty of parking behind the building. We were glad they had outdoor seating and alcoholic beverages (it's been too long lol). Staff & hostess were wearing masks, seated us apart from other people, and asked us to put our masks on when we went inside to the bathroom. Hubby and I ordered a salad and a pizza to share for lunch. The salad was fresh and definitely enough for two. Both the salad and pizza came in disposable containers; the salad in a plastic bowl with a lid and the piazza in a box. We did use cloth napkins and real table ware. The server informed us it was Oktoberfest so we had to make sure to try the beer cheese brat which was the favorite of the evening. We went to the Lock 34 anniversary event with friends of ours that are using the outdoor bar and venue for their wedding next year. The indoor bar area is large and has a great look. The outdoor are is covered, has seating and is a great place to hangout. The wait staff was very attentive and brought our drinks right away even though they were swamped that day. This was a pretty average pizza. I liked the cup and char pepperoni, but thought the sauce tasted more like something that would be on pasta. They also didnt place parchment paper in the box. Not a huge deal, just something I thought was odd. read more

I came here for a birthday lunch recently with my family and had an overall good experience. Our waitress was really nice and checked on us frequently for drink refills. She was even nice enough to get one of the TVs switched to a different game. It was fairly quiet for noon on a Saturday. This place does get pretty packed at night as they usually have live music. Loved this cute little place in Lockport! I sat outside on a warm night at the bar and the service was great! I came on a Friday night and it was busy, so be prepared to wait. All of the food looked and sounded amazing but I ordered a black and blue burger with extra lettuce for a bun! I had a Caesar salad on the side and that was amazing. So flavorful! There are a few things that annoyed me. The restaurant was recommended by the Lock Boat captain, so I looked it up while on our ride. The online menu and the menu at the restaurant didn't match. Had already had my heart set on the Black n Blue burger, but it was not on the menu. My biggest issue was with the charges. Since I couldn't get the burger I wanted, decided to try a "stuffed" burger. Decided on the "Build your own" where each ingredient had their own charges. That's fine. I chose one ingredient from each of the ingredient 3 price categories. But... $1.00 for the few cubes of chopped raw onion in my burger? The amount of (cheese) feta was also sparse. And, charged .75 because I needed mayo. The burger came with the house made chips. I was asked if I wanted a substitute for the chips, suggestions were named. Garlic Parm fries sounded great! (And were very good btw) But, I assumed this would be an upcharge from the chips, not the full $10 charge. If charging full price, they should have given me the chips that came with it too, I would have taken them home, but no, no chips. Burger was ok. I'll stick to "unstuffed". At least then I may have had the usual lettuce, tomato and (free) onion. Stuffed was disappointing. My companion had the chicken fingers (that actually came with fries). Fingers kind of small. Nothing special. After tip, the bill came to $73 for lunch for 2. That also included an apple mimosa, delicious and an $8 bargain, and a very watery pepsi. Service was fine, so no problem tipping for that. I really wanted to give 2.5 stars, but rounded up. Food, for the most part, just ok. Cost for what we got, not ok. Of course I didn't know about the $10 fries and the mayo charge till the bill came. Since we aren't eating in Lockport often, not returning isn't a concern. read more

Visited Lock 34 tonight with my wife and our neighbors. The service was good and the atmosphere was nice. But I have to say the size of the fish has again gotten smaller. I'm used to having a little left over from my fish frys. This fish has gotten so small it's barely enough. I don't mind paying a little more. I just don't want to leave the restaurant hungry. Come on guys stop cutting back on the size of the fish. read more

Absolutely amazing!!! Everything was sooooo good. The atmosphere is your usual sports bar type. The bartender was really super nice and helpful and got everything right. I ordered a steak that was cooked perfectly medium rare, just the way I like it. Everything was served in a timely matter. Drinks were good and the cutie bartender kept them coming. My friends and I had a really good time. It was a little hot and humid inside. They might want to add some fans, but it really wasn't too bad. read more

Amazing food! Searching Yelp for a new place to try I came across this place in the City of Lockport. I had the B. Holley Burger cooked medium. The meat was cooked perfectly and it was served on a fresh Costanzo's roll, for me the bun can make or break a burger and in this case it made it! Bun was lightly toasted, enough for a little crunch but not so much it fell apart. Bacon was nice and crispy and literally piled high. Their special "fire" sauce was delicious but not so hot that you couldn't handle it, very tasty. Homemade chips were also very good, a bit on the salty side but that's how I like them personally. My wife had the Anchor which was basically a chicken finger wrap with the sweet sauce. She said it was one of the best she's had! The place has a nice atmosphere too, high ceilings, open floor plan and a huge bar! Service was good, waitress was super nice, checked in on us and the bus boy checked in on us and filled our waters. This is a really nice place for casual dining and we will definitely be back again. read more

Nice upscale bar in Lockport featuring craft beers and good wine selection. Crowd is mixed. Prices are a little high but competitive with other similar establishments. We tried some appetizers and the offerings were good. Pizza was my least favorite, with thin crust and not a great sauce. Dips were great. Everything was fresh. The food came out quickly and it was decent. The greek salad was small for the price and the beef was huge chunks had to cut it in thirds.
