We went here for lunch they had lots of things to choose from on the menu. The staff was great and told us the specials and gave us time to look over the menu. The food came out quickly and it was decent. The greek salad was small for the price and the beef was huge chunks had to cut it in thirds. The Reuben was piled high with ingredients but the bread was charred. A good place to grab a quick bite but nothing that wows you and for the price not sure I would go out of my way to come back. read more

We were in the Sweet chalk fest and received a $5 gift to try this place, glad we did! It rained so we had to wrap up early and decided to try to get dinner. Located right on Main St. in Lockport, this place is very modern and upbeat with a nice sized bar (with TVs and the games on) and many food offerings as well. We came for dinner one night and there weren't really any tables available so we did end up waiting but not for too long. We got sat at a two person high-top table which is fine but the table was so small (!) that our drinks and plates barely fit on there when all was said and done. For dinner, I got the pineapple stir fry special they had going on that night and my husband got a burger - both were underwhelming and just OK. Our waitress was really nice and came back frequently to check on us but the lackluster-ish food just had us leaving with an "eh" taste in our mouths (no pun intended). Overall, the atmosphere is great and it seems like a fun place to have a few drinks after work but to us, the food just was a bit off.. Maybe we had an off night; I wouldn't be opposed to trying it again to see for sure. read more

Stopped in for a quick lunch, we were the only ones in the airy restaurant (thought I'd mention if you are looking to have lunch somewhere during COVID it's nice to be able to feel like you have decent amount of space). Our waitress/ waiter switched halfway through our meal but it was seamless they were both super friendly and promptly got us drink refills/ blue cheese to go with our pizza. Both my mom and I got the wood fired pizzas because when the beautiful wood oven/ hearth are looking right at you you know the pizza will probably be pretty good and it was! My mom got the chicken bacon Ranch and it was delicious but I think it would be hard to eat the whole thing as the flavors are the same every piece so we both agreed next time one of us should have got the pizza and the other should get a salad or something and then split both half and half so you have a meal of two different tastes but that's just our personal preference, just a tip if you get bored easy. I'm a sucker for fresh mozz and they let me sub that and add pepperoni to the Roosevelt drive no problem, the sausage on the pizza was also super tasty and the crust for both was wonderful. I've been here for drinks in the past but today is the first day I tried the food. The garlic Parmesan fries are tasty with big slices of fresh Parmesan rather than the crumbs, but the garlic butter pooling at the bottom of the plate was a wee bit too much. I had a special Gouda mac 'n cheese that was creamy and filling. I just wish they had some bread crumbs or something to give it some crunch. My husband enjoyed his burger and asparagus. During the day stop in for a great lunch. The burgers are good. I haven't personally tried the pizza, but I have heard good things. In the evenings, I would recommend the wings in the sweet and spicy sauce. They are great. Also the pretzel sticks are amazing, like I'd sleep in the couch so I don't have to share with my wife amazing. If you are looking for a unique shot try the Cinnamon Toast Crunch. Overall a great place to stop regardless of the time of day. Friday and Saturday nights the crowds can get big. If you aren't a fan of crowds, I'd steer clear on those days. read more

My best friend and I were in town from Syracuse going to an event. We needed a place to grab dinner before it started, so we took to Google, and came upon Lock 34. It was very close to our event, so we decided to give it a go. Being from out of town, we didn't know where the hell we were, so we passed by a couple times. As a matter of fact, we actually went into another restaurant around the corner, then walked out after not being impressed with the menu and walked to Lock 34. That turned out to be the best decision. It's a big, open sports bar type place, but has a very modern feel to it. We were sat immediately, and it wasn't very busy even though it was a Frisat evening. There was a lot of good stuff on the menu, but my friend and I both settled for burgers. I went with their homemade chips as a side and he got fries. Our meals were delicious. The burgers were fresh and cooked perfectly. Their homemade chips were awesome, and their fries were really good too. Service was quick and friendly. We were actually running a little too close to our events start time, but our food came quickly and we made it just in time. The place was getting very busy as we left around 7pm. Great little place. The service was my first impression and I would give it 3 out of 5 stars. Our waiter didn't ask if we were ready to order for a while. Once she dropped off the drinks we had our menus down ready to give our order and she said she had to run food and she'd be back for the order. Well we waited a while. Once our order went in the food came out efficiently. Drink refills happened in a rush and she didn't clear the empty glasses. We were already placed at a table for two with three people in our party so it was frustrating. Plus they give you water glasses to start wether you ask for it or not. So with one refill each we had nine glasses at our table. I got the rodeo burger cooked medium temp. Bravo cooks :) it was cooked perfectly. The flavor of the BBQ, caramelized onions, cheese, and meat was sweet and savory. I got onion rings on the side. They are perfect too. Crunchy and just the right size. My fiance got the pulled pork nachos. He said the pulled pork was super sweet and delicious. Don't plan to get this meal in takeout though. It won't taste the same. You have to eat it after it was prepared. My daughter got medium boneless wings. She wasn't as happy about her meal. The wings has almost no sauce and medium is more like mild. I blame myself for this one. We should have asked for extra sauce on the side and about the heart of the wings. read more

This restaurant is a Lockport icon in the making. Years ago, I came here and it was a great place for wings but I didn't give it much thought beyond that. Then it became under new ownership and they scored a great chef, who used to be at Shamus. Well, we all know it's the chef that has the greatest impact on a restaurant... so, Shamus (once my favorite restaurant in Lockport) went a little downhill and Lock 34 became awesome. So many things on the menu and they are all fantastic. You just can't go wrong here. We started with the pretzel appetizer. I love soft pretzels and Lock 34 has the best ones around for sure. They arrive warm and soft with a nice semi-crunch outer shell. They have the perfect amount of salt and two wonderful dipping sauces. (Warm cheese or honey mustard) You will really want to try these! Another great appetizer is the French onion soup. It arrives to the table piping hot (be careful) and loaded with cheese. For our lunch we shared a philly steak wrap and the pot roast sandwich. Everything was great. You can tell great care is taken for each item to arrive with the right amount of toastedness (made up word) and seasoning. It's rare to find this kind of flavor in comfort food with a twist. I especially like their gravy. If you don't order a meal with gravy, try the French fries with gravy as a side just to get some of that gravy. I highly recommend this not-to-be-missed Lockport restaurant and kudos to a truly great chef at Lock 34. read more

Also probably has some of the best decor you'll get in the area, feels fairly upscale compared to most places I've been around here. Place kind of turns into a zoo at night though. Looks like the kind of place that prides itself on their stone fired pizzas, so of course I ordered one. Their pulled pork pizza was fantastic. I went with a big group and everyone else seemed to love their meals. Bottom line, great place for lunch or dinner but based on my past experience I'd clear out by 9. They were crispy, deep-fried tastiness with a side of horseradish dip. I had the Reuben sandwich and it was piled high with corned beef, saurkraut, and a small splash of thousand island dressing and a large portion of house chips (hand-cut, thin sliced potatoes). I couldn't finish my meal. The prices are reasonable and they offer indoor and outdoor seating near the locks if you want a nice view during the summer. Small selection of beers (odd for a sports bar) but they had lots of speciality drinks and wines. I tried their Irish creme hot chocolate. It tasted like a little too much whiskey was added, I like whiskey but others might find this drink a little strong for their taste as an after dinner drink. Our party had been visiting a new restaurant each day around upstate NY using yelp as our guide. One kid in our party loved their burger but no adults raved about the food. The bummer was the server. My 14 year old son and I went here after a long day at a volleyball tournament. We were both exhausted and starving. We decided on Lock 34 because it was close and open. I loved the atmosphere here. Our waitress was fantastic!! Warm and friendly!!! We ordered fried pickles to start. They were so good!! The batter was light and crispy and the dipping sauce was a little spicy. We bother order the beef on weck. The beef was so tender and tasty. The roll was really good but had too much salt. Which is saying a lot coming from a salt-aholic. For my side, I got the garlic parm fries. I would skip these next time. Not a lot of garlic flavor and the curls of fresh parm didn't have a strong enough flavor. They didn't taste much different from my son's seasoned fries, which were very good!! When I'm in Lockport I will definitely eat here again!! read more
