My 14 year old son and I went here after a long day at a volleyball tournament. We were both exhausted and starving. We decided on Lock 34 because it was close and open. I loved the atmosphere here. Our waitress was fantastic!! Warm and friendly!!! We ordered fried pickles to start. They were so good!! The batter was light and crispy and the dipping sauce was a little spicy. We bother order the beef on weck. The beef was so tender and tasty. The roll was really good but had too much salt. Which is saying a lot coming from a salt-aholic. For my side, I got the garlic parm fries. I would skip these next time. Not a lot of garlic flavor and the curls of fresh parm didn't have a strong enough flavor. They didn't taste much different from my son's seasoned fries, which were very good!! When I'm in Lockport I will definitely eat here again!! read more

Could not say enough about how awesome this place is. Always my first choice when going out for dinner. Even takeout is phenomenal. Never had a bad meal or experience read more

If you have not tried Lock 34 out for lunch or dinner, your are missing a great restaurant in Lockport. You can tell a great restaurant when it's humming inside and outside it's -15 with the windchills. That was how it was when we went. A wait of maybe 2 minutes and we were seated and ready to go with a super attentive waitress and staff. We ordered two Reubens, a burger and a fish fry. The Reubens were unbelievable and we felt THE best ones we had ever had. Perfect blend of tastes and the corned beef was literally like butter. Home run! The burger got the same review and half was taken home due to the size. The fish another home run. All in all a 10+ and we will be coming back many, many more times! read more

While out with my father and my daughter we found Lock 34. The staff was friendly and helpful for my food allergies. The waitress was very knowledgeable. The food was delicious. I often worry about cross contamination, as both my daughter & I have celiac's. We had no problems at all. We both had burgers without buns. They wrapped the burgers in lettuce for us. I would definitely go back. It was a wonderful experience. read more

BEST HAPPY HOUR PRICES I HAVE EVER SEEN! Huge bar inside and such a sophisticated bar area outside. It's right off the sidewalk with their own car, very European feeling! read more

Since moving to Lockport, Hubby and I decided to start trying some new local restaurants to find the perfect date night destination, a place to take out-of-town visitors, and a hangout spot with friends. Well, Lock 34 is the one place for all of those occasions. The ambiance is comfortable. There is that trendy microbrewery warehouse sort of look that is very popular right now and they do it well. Simplistic but sophisticated. My *only* hesitation on giving five stars is because there is not a lot of seating. We had a party of five (four adults and one child) and there was not a table big enough for us available. It would be nice to replace some of the two-seater tables with four-seaters to allow for average-sized parties. In their defense though, there was a very large party of ten or so people in no hurry to leave that was taking up a few tables, so I think on a normal night, there would probably be enough room. The menu is just right: enough diversity for everyone to find something they like, but it's also limited enough that it doesn't get overwhelming trying to read and decide. The appetizers are the highlight of the menu- there are so many great options to choose from that one could make a meal out of apps alone, or just come in to sit at the bar for a drink and an app to munch on. The service here is incredible. Fast, extremely attentive service and all with a smile. We absolutely loved it. Drinks were refilled when they were only half-empty (or is it half-full?) and entrees came out just as we were finishing the last bites of our apps. The food is delicious! We started with fried pickle spears and soft pretzels for apps- all great. A pizza was ordered and enjoyed. Hubby ordered the huge Rodeo Burger since he saw a photo of it on Yelp and he couldn't get it out of his head. He loved it- ate every bite, which is quite a feat. I ordered The Anchor, a chicken finger wrap, essentially. It was perfectly cooked and wrapped, I wanted so badly to finish both halves but I was stuffed. Can't wait to finish the rest later. And don't get me started on the seasoned french fries. Oh my god. I have a new favorite fry place. Sooooo wonderfully crunchy on the outside with warm soft potatoey goodness on the inside.... *drool* Don't change a thing, Lock 34. Tell me you're here to stay! If anyone is looking for a bite or a drink (or both) and you're even remotely near Lockport, I high suggest that you choose Lock 34 as your destination. read more

Had dinner here tonight. I have been here a handful of other times. It has been a great experience every time I have been here. I had the The Anchor: Crispy breaded chicken fingers tossed in buffalo wing sauce with lettuce, tomato, onion, and bleu cheese dressing. Served in a wrap. The food is always consistent and so is the service. ... I am a big fan of this restaurant and I recommend it. read more

Lock 34 - The Anchor: chicken fingers tossed in buffalo wing sauce with L.T.O. and bleu cheese with homemade chips and a pickle - New American Near Me - Lockport, New York

So disappointed!! We tried going here for dinner on 9/28 only to find out all of the spots inside were "reserved". It was about 5:30. There was only 1 table available outside to eat at and it was a little chilly out. We ended up leaving because they couldn't meet our needs. It seemed like the owner really didn't care. It felt like we were wasting her time. I would recommend coming for lunch but forget about dinner. read more

Went for the first time after reading other reviews. The food was great!! I had the Greek flatbread. Hubby had the pork special. Do wish they had a better draft beer selection but that won't stop me from returning. Happened to be there on trivia night and that was a fun extra advantage (even though we lost)! read more

One of my girlfriends and I visited Lock 34 last Thursday evening before a show at the Lockport Palace Theater. The last time I visited this space it was under a different owner and went by the name Taboo so I was excited to see what had changed on the menu and the overall vibe of the restaurant. The vibe and feel of the space has not shifted dramatically, the architecture is very open and pleasing to the eye. Upon glancing at the menu I noticed they had put a fun, local spin on all of the items listed. After a little bit of debate both myself and my friend ordered off the "Pathway Pizzas" section of the menu, where all of the pizza creations were named after notable streets in Lockport. A nice touch if I do say so myself. When my "Grass"-Mere Road pizza was delivered to the table it looked fantastic and I couldn't wait to dig in! The pizza itself was delicious, the crust was nice and crispy and the portion was great. My friend kept it basic and went with the "High Street" consisting of tomato, basil and mozzarella. She seemed very pleased with her choice as well! The only criticism I would point out would be the attentiveness of the staff. Our pizzas took about 45 minutes and the restaurant was not overly crowded so I wish our waitress would have communicated with us a bit better in regards to that since we had a show to catch! Overall, a nice experience and I would certainly recommend it if you ever find yourself in the city of Lockport and looking for a cocktail and some affordable grub! read more

Connor was the best server and the food was perfect for our hockey families. Thank you!!

I went here yesterday after doing some extensive research on trying to find a new place to dine. Needless to say, I am glad said research led me to this place. I sat at the bar, and the staff was attentive and friendly. As an appetizer, I ordered the chicken quesadillas which were absolutley delicious. The chicken was succulent and melded well with the vegetables and the other items in the appetizer. As a main course, I ordered The Plough Chicken Sandwich. This delicious sandwich was an amalgamation of a delicious chicken breast, cheese, and a spicier mayonaise that was a wonderful main course. I cannot wait to come back here to eat again. read more

This place had an amazing atmosphere. Burgers were amazing, drinks were cold. Only flaw was our sever forgot to bring everything and had to double ask for items. Overall would definitely go back. read more

Went on a Friday for fish but opted for the sirloin, $15.99 for an 8 oz. with sautéed mushrooms and onions, salad and red potatoes. Great deal and it was cooked right. Wife had the Greek baked fish which was alright. It's hard to get excited about baked fish. We'll be back to try the rest of the menu. read more

Lock 34 has a great outdoor and indoor dining area. Our waitress kayla was fantastic. Our appetizers were very good and the house salad was very fresh. The ranch dressing was also very fresh. I ordered the sirloin. The steak was cooked perfectly, but the taste was strange. The meat was tough and hard to chew. Overall, a nice place to dine. The fresh cut fries were delicious and the peanut butter pie was extremely good. read more

Solid place to hang in Lockport. Agreeable menu for most crowds, two patios, tons of parking, walking distance from the Locks and the ice rink. Big screen TVs (Go Sabres, Go Bills) , sound system. Keep it casual or not. read more

My husband and I came in here for dinner while we were in Lockport for a Lockport Locks Tour. We found this place on Yelp and it had great reviews so we gave it a try. We were impressed! The service was amazing- our server was friendly, fast and helpful. He made some great recommendations. We didn't have to ask him for anything because before we even needed to he was already at the table taking care of it. The food was delicious and they definitely serve quality food with quality ingredients. My husband got a French dip sandwich and I got the Buffalo chicken finger salad. It was way better than I was expecting a chicken finger salad to be. It was made with greens (not just romaine or iceberg lettuce), chunks of celery and carrots, onion, a delicious blue cheese dressing, and sliced chicken fingers any way you'd like on top. It was also huge so my husband had to finish it off for me. We also split the steak and arugula flatbread which was so delicious that we ended up ordering a second one. Oops! We had a great experience here and delicious food- I highly recommend this spot if looking for a place to eat in Lockport. read more

Lock 34 is a great spot for lunch, dinner, and even work gatherings. Though thing can get a little crazy in their, the service stays fairly on point and the food is usually good or better. One of my favorites is their chicken quesadilla, with a tendency to please the pallet with a scrumptious flatbread from time to time. Looking for an appetizer? Hands down the pretzels, with the mustard, not cheese! read more

My waitress Brooke was very helpful with the menu and was really nice and fun to talk to!

Very nice and accommodating. Burgers were out of this world and what you would call gourmet. The cole slaw from one of the specials was amazing, tasted like it had a little ginger in it. I ordered a side of it with my burger. Waitress was really good about keeping water full and was helpful. Place is clean and nice. The town is cool. Go see the locks and eat here. read more

Lock 34 is a great little restaurant to hang out with friends. I've tried several different foods since I started going here. Very nice place for a Friday fish fry...even for our non-fish eater who had beef. Coming from Florida, i enjoyed access to Labatt's blue and had nice creole broiled cod and wife enjoyed flatbread. All seems satisfied with meals. Shared a very food maple cheesecake dessert. Unfortunately they could not find any reservations even though i called the previous day, but were accommodated in a less desirable table next to busy service station. read more

First time eating at Lock 34. Bartender, Andrea, was very attentive. We ate the bar. She recommended the lemon zest flatbread appetizer it was good, unique and light. I had the apple spinach salad that was delicious and my guest had the chicken wrap which was also good. Really nice menu with lots to choose from. Andrea was outstanding, friendly and hustled all night. read more

How do I give this place 10 stars? They easily accommodated my group of 12 hungry hikers for lunch today. Our outdoor table was ready when we arrived, even though we were early. Service was exceptional. Food here is fabulous! I've never been to a restaurant that could satisfy every person in a group this size but they did. Greek salads and the variety of burgers near my end of the table were raved over. Potato chips - where can I buy these for home?! Thank you Lock 34 for taking such good care of us. read more

This spot is my go to when I'm home. Pretty much everything on the menu is excellent, very well priced. I usually go for the Lock Burger but you absolutely cannot go wrong with the Panko Crusted Chicken. The atmosphere is nice, especially when they open the patio. Great place to go watch the game or catch up with a friend. The staff is always very nice and attentive. I would absolutely recommend this to anyone who hasn't been, local or not. read more

Great meal last night. Kathy and I both ordered a daily special. Beet salad and stuffed cod were both great

Disappointed after reading other reviews. Went early on Friday eve to avoid crowd. We were told no tables inside as all the tables were reserved. At 5:00? We were seated outside by street. Between traffic noise and loud music very hard to converse. Service was not great. The crab stuffed cod was delicious. Soup was very tasty. The beer battered fish fry was overcooked and mediocre. Fries were ok but got cold quickly. Did not leave feeling warm and fuzzy about this place. read more

The best lunch we have had in a long time. I had a Special which was chicken on a cibatta roll with provolone, arugula and a bacon pepper relish. The flavors were amazing.
