    Diablo margarita
    Aly W.

Somehow we've never made it here in all our years, but hopefully more people will discover it with the new piers opening up in Olcott. It's more bar than grill, but one of our sons loves their chicken and fries basket and the other is a fan of the bacon wrapped shrimp. The burgers are excellent, and always cooked to order. The queso served with the chips can be hit or miss. It was bland the first time, but great the next. Lots of unique cocktails, as well as an assortment of beer and wine including local and regional varieties. My favorite is the diablo margarita. Tastes great with a nice kick. There's a dart board, pinball machine, and one of those modern jukeboxes.

    Bobo champagne!!!

Another stellar drink Covey's Cove. Champage with lychee bobo marinated in champagne! Like their shirts say...always comfortable, never ordinary. Thank for being down to earth and fancy at the same time!

    Whistle dog

Stopped in for lunch after shopping at cute little shops along Olcott beach. It looks like a hole in wall but the food was good and service great. When we walked in we were immediately greeted by Michael from behind bar and welcomed us in. We chose to sit outside. Michael was friendly and very attentive. He recommended the whistle dog which was a must have! Son had the trashcan which he loved and had him so full all day he didn't want dinner. Husband had burger which was good as well. Daughter had taco salad which was bland . Michael also gave us travelers some recommendations of other local places to visit

Food was outstanding. The atmosphere perfect. If your a traveling man, support this place. It's 'Squared Away'! On the Level.

Delightful little tavern with good food and the best margaritas! We had several! I loved the Halloween decorations.

After three wineries, my husband was definitely ready for some food. When you walk in, you definitely feel like you're entering an English pub! The bar, and place, ent of the bar was very traditional to pubs in the UK. Our server Lawerence definitely helped with his English accent! When asked where he was from, he said Bristol! He came to Canada after her sister relocated. He originally was a cook, but given his accent, they asked hi. To move to the front! Well done. He was a great server too! Very friendly! We decided to share the sausage rolls and shepherds pie. My husband had two Guinness! I'm not sure where he put it in top of the wine, but glad I was driving. The sausage rolls were very tasty. The mustard that came for dipping was the perfect accompaniment. The shepherd's pie had a dark Guinness gravy that was rich and flavorful. I enjoyed the side of peas and carrots too! Sharing these two was the perfect amount, however we wished we'd got the poutine! It looked amazing, it would've been too much food though. Guess we will need to return! PS: loved seeing the sign for Upper Canada Brewing company! In 1988, I visited them with my college partner as we did a college paper on microbrewers! At that time, they were one of a few. We also had visited Great Lakes brewing in CLE! The microbrewing industry exploded shortly there after! Was a great personal walk down memory lane for my college days!! While Upper Canada was sold, was just excellent to see an old sign!

I've had their fish and chips in the past, which were meh compared to what I've experienced elsewhere, but that is where I will finish complaining and start complimenting for example the tacos here. They are amazing, as is the poutine, the onion rings, and the Smash burger--I got the Angry Sterling, which is a flavour explosion with delicious toppings. And the drink, the Toronto cocktail, was amazing--a strong enough flavour of whisky with just enough of the liqueurs to make it not sting going down. Oh, and I haven't spoken about the live music yet. There was a guy playing guitar who was taking requests, and--and I'm saying this as a person who isn't too big a fan of acoustic guitar music--was pretty good. His passion alone made me start to bop my head and tap my foot to the music. Oh, and I'd be remiss if I didn't mention the nice trails, beach, and a historic house in a neighbourhood that reminds me of the bridal path.
