    Best cocktails around! Fresh!

Excellent cocktails, amazing bites and the best along with most friendly owners around. Outstanding and our favorite place to go! Great atmosphere and the drinks are smooth.

    Cubano and banh mi

Came in to try out the new food and beverage menus. Tried all the new seasonal cocktails and would absolutely order all of them again. Forgot to take photos but got one of our sandwiches. We ordered a Cubano (left) and the banh mi (right) and split the sandwiches between the two of us, halves are pictured. Both sandwiches were fantastic and flavorful. Finished with the cheesecake and it was a perfect end to our meal.

    French Dip and Old Fashioned

Stopped by solo to check out what was once our beloved Woodcock Brothers. The place was busy, but was greeted and welcomed immediately. The French Dip sandwich was amazing and the drinks were perfection. Candyce and Dave went out of their way to make sure everyone who walked in felt welcome and taken care of. I was very impressed and would recommend everyone to give this business a try! I'll be back!

When we were seated indoors initially, we were not pleased. It is excessively loud inside with fellow diners chatting. It might have something to do with the acoustics. We could not even hear each other chatting, my friend and I. Food 4/5 taste of the shrimp tacos with what appeared to be a sweet coconut rice was quite tasty. My seafood wrap was meh. Rather bland and dry. Too much wrap and not enough meat. Both entrees were $26 each. I think that's a bit pricey for a wrap sandwich especially. We ordered house wine, which was $10 a glass. Our Bill came to $97 without tip. Of which $30 was alcohol. I think we're paying more for the scenic location, which really is charming. The band was the attraction for us. We would've liked to sit around the fire pit after dinner to hear the band longer, but there was no seating available in that area. It would be nice to have more available in that respect. We were told that they close for the season the third week of September. So it is a seasonal destination. We saw a ton of servers, working hard, running around and bringing food and drinks to all the diners. Our server was also very good.

The Manager "Michael" also was walking around meeting customers showing his concern that customers were happy with service. It's not often you see the management interacting with customers but Michael is probably the reason this restaurant was so busy. The atmosphere was great and they even have live music. We were glad to find the Sunset Bar and Grill. Thank you for a wonderful evening

There was no one at any tables. There did not appear to be any lights on inside (including the lights of the "Open" sign on the door). There was one older gentleman standing inside, glaring out the window while talking on a phone, but that just made us uneasy to approach the door. Drove by around 7:30pm the same Saturday night. The "Open" sign was lit, but the place looked empty.

It came with brisket, pulled pork , sausage , chicken, ribs and two sides. The Corn bread melts in your mouth , and the mac and cheese side would even be perfect as a main ! My cocktail "smoke and mirrors", had a strong pear taste with a full brandy body. Definitely needs another staff member or two as the drink specialist was also serving the whole restaurant, taking orders and greeting. Including the outside. Although at times we were waiting , for example to pay as it got busier although we waited a while for our bill and drink refills but, it never felt excessively long even with this crutch. Price for quantity, taste , and its classy ambience and style make this place a must go in St. Catharines, even the whole Niagara Region !

Each dish has elevated twist, and the price is so reasonable and even generous for the quality. Cocktails are excellent (lots of line-ups). They also serve nice choices of local craft beers on tap. We ordered: (Food) #Cast Iron Baked Brie fresh baked brie with house-made wild berry compote, candied pecans, prosciutto, garlic crostini $17 : This served as perfect appetizer for 3 of us. Enjoyable. Variety of ways to enjoy the baked brie. #Canadian Striploin 7oz striploin, garlic herb mashed potatoes, grilled seasonal vegetables: We tried different & great steak dish here before, and this one is also EXCELLENT - the on-point seasonings, perfectly med-rare. Roasted veggies and mashed potato leave its own flavour and texture with right amount of seasonings. #Stuffed Mushroom Ravioli stuffed with wild mushrooms, tossed in a beurre blanc sauce, topped with fresh Parmesan: I wished the ravioli itself had more mushroom-forward flavor, and the wrapper had more delicacy (in terms of thickness and texture). However, I loved the beurre Blanc sauce - it was foamy - making the butter-ly and creamy sauce feel light in the mouth. Nice hint of tangy-ness. #Herb Crusted Salmonwith garlic herb mashed potatoes, grilled seasonal vegetables, and beurre blanc sauce: The same sauce as ravioli, that matched with salmon well. (Cocktails) #Fig Fizz: With Durham distillery Gin, Raspberry Liqueur, fig jam, lemon juice, honey syrup, soda # Lavender cosmopolitan # Passion Prosecco Martini # Spicy Hibiscus Margarita All the cocktails were presented beautifully. Today's highlight was Spicy Hibiscus Margarita. (Dessert) Chocolate Espresso Martini Cake rich vanilla cake, mascarpone, house-made chocolate espresso mousse $10: Essentially, tiramisu. lol. Nicely presented. This place is versatile for us. Just for snack, just for cocktails, just for local beer, and elevated food experiences. Promising satisfying experience in each occasion. So blessed to have this place in my neighbourhood.

I ordered beef on weck which came with fries and everyone at the table started laughing when they came, they were black and greasy. We only went to listen to music by a friend who was playing. We decided to try again last night, Valentines Day, again we only went to listen to who was playing there. It was worse than the first time! We had a reservation for 7:00, arrived at 6:55 and there were a lot of people but not totally full. We called one of the two waitresses over and asked if we could order and ordered drinks and appetizers. An hour later we called her over and asked why we hadn't gotten our food yet. They brought out our appetizers, not all at once and my husband and I were afraid to eat the chicken wings because when we took a bite they were red and slimy inside. The couple we were with ordered nachos and the cheese was hardened on top as if it had been sitting for an hour. There was a young couple that got seated next to us at 7:00 also and their dinner was delivered at 9:00! On our other side was a table of 4 who waited so long for their dinner it arrived cold and they didn't eat it. When asked if they wanted a box to go, they refused and said it was terrible and left it all there. This building is in a beautiful setting and very cozy inside but if they don't make some changes in the kitchen and wait staff they will be closed in six months.
