I also had the chicken piccata which was on a bed of couscous and artichokes. Different, but tasty. Needed salt and pepper. My friends ordered some sort of a pasta dish and some sort of a salmon dish. They both liked their food. I tried my friends brussels sprouts and Jesus Christ. They were the best sprouts I've ever had. We did not order dessert because apparently Chef had prepared too many teeny tiny cups of banana pudding for the corporate event, and our server brought a few over for us to sample. How nice. I don't even like banana pudding. But I ate it, because of course I did.

We had a reservation for 7:30. They took us to a table at 8:00. We got drinks about 8:30 and we didn't get the entrees until 9:30. Knowing that in advance , I would have made reservations at 5:30 so the entrees would have arrived at 8:00. No one bothered to explain the delay. No comp round of drinks or anything was offered to ease the pain. So it kind of put a damper on an otherwise good experience. Another warning. Parking is a nightmare in North Tonawanda which makes me avoid going there very often.

If you're going to have "ICE is not welcome here" stickers displayed proudly behind the bar, as well as other places, maybe you shouldn't use facial recognition software & a photo database that's timestamped and could be subpoenaed in this political climate . Actions over words. Support businesses that install safety measures that ACTUALLY align with the beliefs they boast.

I was just about done with my meal before my guest could even tell her the steak was not cooked properly. In fact she didn't come over. I had no issues with parking as I used one of the public parking lots near downtown and took a short walk over, but if tried to find a parking spot on the street, that would've been pretty difficult. I did see the parking lot for a, now closed for good, Rite Aid that had a few cars and some open spaces, so that seems to be an option as well. Upon walking in there was a host station, which said to wait for the host to seat you. Past the host station, there is a good-size bar and several high-top tables and chairs, a separate dining room with plenty of tables and chairs for families/larger groups, as well as an outdoor patio with more high tables and chairs. Plenty of TVs were hung up around the bar/restaurant and classic rock was playing over the speakers, but it wasn't too loud, you could carry a conversation with relative ease. The hostess was going to seat me but then a random couple came, ignoring the sign, and took it that table... The hostess managed to find me another high-top table by their outdoor patio entrance. The fries were fine, nothing special. Looking over my bill, I thought the price for my dinner was reasonable for the quality and quantity I received. Skoob's Village Grille nails the vibe of being the bar in a small town where everyone goes to for a drink, classic bar food, and to relax with friends. If I have one nitpick, I think the service times need to be looked at and improved. But even with that nitpick, I'd come back and try one of their burgers or an order of chicken wings with one of their specialty sauces!
