The decor is bland and again, these mom and pop shops aren't known for their decors. We are here for the food. I ordered a fish and chip and it came out fresh and piping hot. Not too burnt but very crispy. The boss lady came by to check in on us and it's nice to connect with small businesses around the corner in the neighbourhood. The 2 waitress that served me were very fast and efficient. Which a 25% tip was deserving. The only down side was the decor and ambiance. The inside and furnishings were a bit on the old and used too much side. I would recommend they do some renovations to spruce the place up. I would also recommend all yelpers and patrons to try this spot as the halibut fish and chips are worth the visit and money. And was debating on paying more and getting their halibut. I was worried sick all the way home. But Upon eating the haddock, I was truly genuinely surprised at how good it was. Honestly, I couldn't tell the difference between this and halibut which is saying a lot about fish and chips. When my food was done, I saw the cook ( a lady ) and it was the same one from my previous visits a long time ago. Oh boy, I hope they don't change as the lady cook is a keeper! I know that this place was up for sale a while back and that is why I was hesitant to come here recently. But, after seeing that the cook is the same, I will be sure to make a few more visits and into my regular rotation of take out food. To all the yelpers out there. We were the only customers - we went in the Sunday of a long weekend shortly before closing - and had our food in front of us within ten minutes of entering.
