Cool thing you can choose you fish, halibut, haddock and Cod. I chose the combo meal with gave 2 big pieces of battered fish, chips and 2 sides and I chose the mushy peas and coleslaw (when in Rome lol). I thought the fish was done perfectly and chips were crispy on the outside and tender. I enjoyed it here, the price was reasonable I thought and our server was friendly. I would recommend this place if you are craving decent fish and chips.

The shrimp was coconut shrimp rather than being normal battered shrimp (this isn't mentioned on the main menu, but elsewhere). It was decent, though the slightly spicy cocktail sauce did not really go with it. There was quite a bit of "shrimp" (i.e. reformed shrimp patty with a shrimp tail stuck in). Both dishes came with a small serving (sauce container) of coleslaw. It was decent - crisp & tasty, though a touch sharp.

On Fridays and Saturdays they don't seat you until your whole group is present, so plan ahead if you're coming with more people. The decor is bland and again, these mom and pop shops aren't known for their decors. We are here for the food. I ordered a fish and chip and it came out fresh and piping hot. Not too burnt but very crispy. The boss lady came by to check in on us and it's nice to connect with small businesses around the corner in the neighbourhood. Honestly, I couldn't tell the difference between this and halibut which is saying a lot about fish and chips. When my food was done, I saw the cook ( a lady ) and it was the same one from my previous visits a long time ago. Oh boy, I hope they don't change as the lady cook is a keeper!
