Camera didn't eat first. We were looking for a local fish and chips spot and ended up at Churchills. My husband, toddler and I got the King's Platter which was perfect - two pieces of halibut, three shrimps and 3 scallops with a huge amount of fries, coleslaw, with what I assume was house made tartar sauce and seafood sauce. We were the only customers - we went in the Sunday of a long weekend shortly before closing - and had our food in front of us within ten minutes of entering. It all tasted fresh and delicious and "light" considering it was deep fried. The batter had good crunch. We loved all of it...our toddler loved the fries and the decor, especially the murals. This is the kind of place that gains a cult following, and for good reason: the food speaks for itself, and won't break the bank. We are not from the area and relied on Yelp for a dinner recommendation. We were not disappointed with our meals. My 5 year old had the fish and chips and my wife and I both had chicken souvlaki. In all cases we were very happy with the quality of the meal. The restaurant is very basic and doesn't really have much in the way of atmosphere but if you are looking for a good meal without much fuss you could do a lot worse. read more

This un-assuming little hole in the wall certainly is not to be passed up. First off, the people here are very friendly and inviting. They greet you and make you feel welcome. They also will check on you several times during your meal. They also always seem to remember you when you go back. Very nice atmosphere for a small diner. The food is alway cooked when you order. No heat lamps or microwaves here. The fish selection is good and it's always fresh tasting. They batter your fish when you order it. The fries are hand cut and fries on site. The menu offers other fare besides fish and chips. Fresh salads, souvlaki and several comfort foods are also available. One item on the menu worth going for is their burgers. The burgers are hand made and incredibly big. The burger special consisting of 7oz burger, huge helping of fries and a drink for under 9$ is an excellent value. You won't be disappointed. All the prices on their menu are fair to excellent. Certainly a great little place to take the family great dinner out. Be warned they only accept cash. They do not have a debit machine but there is an ATM on site if you need to. read more

First time ordering takeout from Churchills. We had the halibut and chips, the fish was really nice, chips were good. We'll definitely order from here again. Portions are very generous, don't think we would get the 6 piece dinner next time, way too much for just three of us. read more
