    Burger and Fries

Went here on a warm Saturday June afternoon for a late lunch/early dinner. We made reservations to sit on the patio, arrived a few minutes early and they sat us immediately right by the boat docks. This was our first time here and we had high hopes because we love trying new places, especially by the water. Our waitress was Madison, and she was 100% on her game, and made the entire visit fantastic! I'm always big on service and I couldn't have asked for anything better from her. She was very nice and welcoming and patient with our decision-making and questions. Their 2021 menu is huge and we all ordered something different and everything was top-notch. We had a fish fry, burger, lobster roll, and customized avocado turkey burger. From the refreshing drinks to the great tasting food, we were all very impressed. We will definitely be visiting this place again and bring friends to also experience this summer time hot spot. They also have live music Friday & Saturday nights. Note: Due to Covid, they currently are open only Friday - Sunday.

Loved it. Great atmosphere, friendly service, tasty food. If you don't have a reservation for the "lower part of the deck" you will have to sit on the upper part. But you can still see the water and boats. A smidge pricey but consider the location and view. Not unreasonable. I'll be back :)

I've dined here on three different occasions. Did not enjoy my food the first two times, but I guess the third time is a charm! Wilson Boathouse totally redeemed themselves this visit with the service and food! We were immediately sat on the patio Saturday afternoon- it was v relaxing. (They do need to clean up the spider webs tho!). The coconut shrimp was really delicious and the turkey burgers and sweet potato waffle fries were amazing as well. We left fulfilled, happy and with a completely different impression than we had before we arrived! Happy to go back soon!

We enjoyed lunch here on a Saturday. The staff was very friendly and our waitress was wonderful. This is such a beautiful place with an excellent view of the water. The decor is so quaint and the food was absolutely delicious. The kids menu comes with a choice of several sides, which is great if your kids like having choices. Our kids both got the grilled cheese, one got fries and the other got a side salad. They enjoyed their meals so much. My husband got the fried captain's platter and the portions were large and were so good. I ordered the Pork and Peaches, a pork chop with bourbon glazed peaches and butternut squash purée. I had it with a side salad and everything I had was amazing! It was definitely added to my list of places to come back to when we visit the area again.

We were camping at 4mile creek and decided to go to dinner on Saturday night making reservations at 4:30. We arrived on time, they seated us and gave us menus and water. 25 minutes later my friend went up to the hostess to ask for our server. It must've been the manager she followed my friend to our table and apologized many times and gave us a round of drinks. Soon after out waitress showed up. The crab cakes were pretty good. Family style salad. I had the cajun broiled haddock. Not very Cajun. It was a nice place. Would I rush back.. no. We did go on the complimentary boat ride down the harbor. That was nice and the driver was filled with tons of information.

The location was beautiful and the place had a great vibe. We planned to order food and that's where this visit went wrong. We ordered crab cakes - clams casino and the black and blue salad. We were so excited to be there - it was an anniversary lunch. The service was solid - I think the table cleaner may have started to eat the plastic table cloth - because it was sticky. Our food came - the crab cakes were fishy tasting and had no sear - they were almost like a pate. The clams casino was like a shell filled with mash potatoes. The steak salad which should have been a home run - tasted like dirty grill and it was like it was cooked twice - couldn't even pull it apart. The greens were good but that's about all good I could find in the food. There wasn't a manger working to speak with and the server did her best. I wish I could say better things.

Nestled along the shores of Lake Ontario in Vineland, this storied establishment, housed in a structure dating to 1867, has become one of those places that quietly lodges itself in the memory and refuses to leave. We made the drive -- well over an hour -- for a Sunday brunch, and not for the first time. It is the kind of restaurant one finds oneself recommending without hesitation, not as a curiosity or a seasonal indulgence, but as a benchmark. The setting alone would justify the journey: a sweeping, unobstructed view of the lake from the sunroom and patio that shifts in character with the light, the season, and the mood of the sky above. On a clear day, the Toronto skyline is visible on the horizon -- an almost implausible grace note. But Lake House does not rest on its scenery. The kitchen demonstrates genuine culinary ambition with a menu that draws from Mediterranean traditions while remaining grounded in local and seasonal sensibility. The salmon crab cakes -- a pairing that sounds indulgent and delivers accordingly -- arrive with a pineapple and mango chutney and sriracha aioli that balance richness with levity. The Great Canadian Burger is a study in considered indulgence: brioche, peameal bacon, sweet bacon jam, and spiced maple aioli achieving a harmony of sweetness, heat, and savoriness that lingers well past the last bite. The service matched the occasion throughout. From the welcome at the door to our server Rhonda -- attentive, warm, and precisely calibrated in her pacing -- to the supervisor who moved quietly through the room ensuring that every table was well attended, the floor operates with the kind of seamless, unhurried care that is too often mistaken for effortlessness. It is not effortless. It is practiced and deliberate, and all the more impressive for it. Lake House Restaurant is a destination that justifies the drive, rewards the return, and -- in a dining landscape where so few establishments manage all three -- that is no small thing.

The 3 ladies at the check-in desk didn't communicate well - they were pretty inefficient at checking reservations and seating people. There was a line and people without a reservation got seated before people that were there for an anniversary, very chaotic. Once seated all went smoothly. We ordered salads with dinner as there were no a la carte vegetable options. Entrees are served with a vegetable medley of squash but they were very overcooked & mushy so I'm glad we had salad. The rolls were delicious as were our dinners. The art on the wall at our table had noticeable food splatters on it, not sure how long they have been there, but not appetizing to look at. Overall a good meal and we got free play for the casino. We'll be back!

Our server was super friendly and knowledgeable. The meal always starts with fresh baked bread service that is accompanied by butter, house pickles and either a hummus or garlic confit (in my experience). My mom is gluten free so she was bought her own dish with focaccia and a roll. She was over the moon about that and really enjoyed the focaccia. We all enjoyed every bit of our meal which included our choice if an appetizer, main dish and dessert from a prix fixe menu for $40. Some of our choices included charcuterie, arugula salad, tamarind shrimp curry, salmon and lemon meringue cheesecake. We left with our culinary needs satisfied and our stomachs full... we even had some leftovers. I can't wait to go back again. It's best to make reservations as they usually get fully booked. Assorted Bread: I'm not a bread person, but I enjoyed their bread. The standard roll was good, the Roll with (dill?) was good, and the one infused with brisket was also good. The dips/snacks that came with the bread were perfect complements to the bread. The pickles were confusing, but I enjoyed them on their own. Chef's salad: A good salad is underrated, and their salad was a case of basic done right. I enjoyed the blue cheese the most, since I haven't had it in a salad in a long time. It was a good mix of softer textures provided by the apple, cheese, and greens, while providing crunch via the nuts. Arayes: I'm expecting a crunchy on the outside, chewy on the inside pita. I wanted a juicy and flavorful lamb, and I wanted the tahini + tzatziki sauces to be good. I got all that and was pleased. Shrimp Scampi: I was a bit disappointed by the portion size, but I had to remind myself that the lunch special was $16 and I had already gotten bread and a nice appetizer. The shrimps were big, and the flavors were light. I liked the fact that the dish wasn't oily. Some people might find it dry, but I like it. Jagerschnitzel: This was the best bite of the meal, and I regret not ordering it. The pork cutlet was very good, and the gravy helped improve the dynamics of the flavor. I've never had caraway spaetzle, but I must say that I enjoyed it, and the red cabbage didn't taste like cabbage, and it almost felt like a red spaetzle. It's a beautiful dish visually, and an even better dish when consumed. Dessert: I..... was not a fan. I thought it was too sweet. My companions liked it though. Ambiance: I felt very underdressed. The establishment definitely gave a white tablecloth environment where diners were pressured to buy a bottle of wine. I had to remind myself that it's a school, so the students needed to learn a certain standard. A standard that I could see. It might be better if there was music, but I'm not gonna complain about it. Service: Excellent. I could tell our wait staff was nervous. Who wouldn't be? I'm sure he'll do fine in the future. It would've been nice if our food arrived a bit faster, but I understood the need for pacing in these course menus.
