Breaded Fish Fry - A plate featuring a large, golden-brown fried fish fillet, broken in half to reveal white fish inside. Accompanying sides include mashed potatoes garnished with herbs, a small bread roll, and two containers of dipping sauces. The meal is presented on a white oval plate, set on a wooden table.

Visited for the first time with friends a week ago Friday. As it was Friday I decided to have the fish fry...I chose the breaded with mashed potatoes for a side. The fish was delicious ...very very good and the portion of mashed potatoes was also good. I was disappointed in the small container of coleslaw slaw and the size of the very small roll. Definite opportunity for improvement in this area...even good Italian bread would be a great improvement and a larger helping of cole slaw would increase my plans to return.

Came in for lunch and had the fried pickles and a Brookside sandwich. The pickles were great both with or without dipping them in the sauce. The breading was crispy and not too thick. They were cut lengthwise like fries. The sandwich was amazing. Tons of fillings. I took half home and it was good as leftovers too. It's a sandwich I'll tell people about and will want to come back for.

Poutine - A serving of poutine on a white plate includes French fries topped with cheese curds and covered in brown gravy. The dish is placed on a dark surface, with a glass of water partially visible in the background.

We came for a late lunch and I ordered the poutine. Although it's listed as a starter, it's a huge serving. I had half for my meal and the other half for a meal later that night. Every bit of it was fantastic- the yancy fancy cheese curds, the fries and the beef gravy. Service was friendly and quick.

This is a comfort food place. The hot roast beef sandwich was very bland and unseasoned but the portion was nice for the price point. The poutine with pot roast was like warm, cheese wasn't melted and also unseasoned. The chicken bites were hard and not as good as Applebee's. They also were not properly sauced. But on the plus side the celery and carrots were spot on! They ran out of orange juice so I couldn't have my desired drink. Ordered a frozen strawberry margarita instead and it was the worst bad, too much Tequila for the ratio and it was more liquidy than frozen. Overall the service was good and the atmosphere was friendly and casual

Could have sworn I reviewed the Brookside way back when. I think the venue had recently gone under new ownership just when the pandemic started in 2020, and they rose to the challenge of reimagining their venue. We ordered takeout often. My favorite is their poutine. My husband and son like their wings. Another son enjoys their chicken tenders. We've since dined in a couple of times. The food is fantastic. They offer a good mix of comfort food and more creative offerings, as well as seasonal specials. I love getting a side of their wasabi ranch with the fish fry. They have a small bar and a good selection of wines, including a couple local wines. The restaurant is small but cozy. Service is great.

Wrap with a lot of meat in it. - A person is holding a large wrap with a soft tortilla, filled with sliced meats, lettuce, and other ingredients. The wrap is partially unwrapped, revealing the layers of meat, lettuce, and possibly cheese or sauce inside. The background shows a dining area with chairs and tables, indicating the photo was taken in a restaurant or casual dining setting.

The restaurant was very nice and clean with very nice decor. It was completely empty which is surprising for 1pm on a Saturday, but a few tables showed up while we were eating. Service was good, and food was fast. I got the roast beef, and the gravy was a little thick and salty, but still good. My husband got a wrap that had a lot of meat in it. My only concern of the restaurant and the reason I gave it four stars is the place is under construction and it smelled overwhelmingly like fresh paint. Really strong fresh paint. They needed to air out the place, I got used to it after 15 min, but it was really unappetizing at first.

We had been up in Lewiston and took the long way home, not knowing where we were we searched Yelp and saw this place close. My wife saw the menu had many good gf options so we decided to seek it out. So glad we did, we will definitely be back when we are in the area. One of the specials was a grilled peach and blueberry salad which my wife loved. So many options on the menu, you will need to come back a few times for sure!

The food was really delicious, so delicious that I forgot to take a picture of my food . I had French dip and it was very greed tender. Service was great. Nice location on Main Street. Highly recommend

Lock 34 was the choice for this week's family lunch on our way home from our adventures…read more We arrived and walking through the expansive patio/bar area I was thinking that this place is going to be something good. Within moments of walking in to the big dining area which gave off a high end feel the hostess had us seated and the waitress had the drinks coming in record time. By the time she came back we were ready to order. We asked for the kids finger meal, Well our waitress Maggie clearly knew what it's like to dine with kids, our little helpers food came first and in record time. Super crispy chicken and fries which were reviewed as "super awesome ". I got a cup of French onion soup, it had a good layer of cheese and was full of onions, even on a 80 degree day that soup satisfied. The misses got the chicken bacon ranch pizza, which came out with a seriously generous covering of chicken and bacon and a nice perfectly cooked cheese/dough. Fantastic flavor and very well made. The garlic parm wings were great, came out extra crispy and saucy....this was definitely a house made sauce, it was well made and worthy of a French fry sopping. I was pleasantly surprised they were also quite meaty. I'm also a bleu cheese fan, theirs was chunky and had a familiar tang to it. I'm a huge fan of great service and good food. Lock 34 delivered on both. Even though it's out of the way of our normal area we eagerly are looking forward to a return visit.
