The parking is odd with a little lot in front but, plenty of street parking around. You enter into the bar and there's a dining room in back. Nothing fancy here, it's a busy neighborhood place with a good feeling. They happened to be having a trivia night and it was jumping. The menu is pretty standard bar food with some interesting additions. Most importantly, all the food seemed well thought out and prepared well. We saw some spaghetti dishes and other parm items as well as wings and big beef on wecks. I chose a pizza burger which was delicious and attractively presented and my friend had a chopped cheese steak, both with fries. I was surprised that whoever is in the kitchen, took the time to grill the roll, have fresh ground beef and make it nice. In a city with a lot of little local places, it really stands out and makes a difference. The waitress, one for the whole room, worked hard and everyone seemed happy. The food was quick and she kept on top of the beers- ha. Definitely won't take as long to come back here!

Since it is on the #40 bus route, and all buses are wheel chair equipped, mom was able to ride for $1 each way to and from Elderwood. That's a savings of about $75 each way over wheel chair van services, so locating your restaurant on a major bus route is good for business! So is having a nice wheel chair ramp, which Boomerang's has. We arrived at the expected time of our reservation and were promptly provided a table that was wheel chair friendly. Being a Friday, we opted for seafood. We started out with an avocado/onion appetizer that mom slid close to her so she could scarf them all. Well, they're pretty big, so mom only got two of them down. I got the other one (delicious) and we had one extra to enjoy the next day. We shared the shrimp/scallops with baked potato plate. Mom and i enjoyed this perfectly prepared plate. The service was excellent. As other reviews said, the prices are reasonable and typical for Buffalo.

Anyways, we both ordered the pork chops, which are amazing with sweet potato mashed. Her appetizer was the stuffed pepper soup, which was excellent as usual so delicious! The wine I ordered was a California wine which wasn't that great live and learn! The meal was excellent , service was excellent. The only improvement to the pork chop dinner would be to offer a bigger portion of homemade applesauce. They put it in this very small cup and consider that a side. It's skimpy and they should make it bigger. We love coming here. Will be back soon.

She asked if it was our first time, which it was and she gave us a run down of everything on the menu. The restaurant itself is very small. Maybe 15 tables total. So you're kind of on top of other tables. But it was manageable. I would give this place 5 stars, but I ordered a 12 oz Filet medium rare and it was very rare. Waitress did tell us to cut into the steaks before walking away, but I did not cut directly down the center. Which I should have. So that's on me. But the size of the restaurant is a big downfall, and the prices are $$$$. You're gonna be spending at least $175 for two people if you go the steak route.

Went to Lumberjacks and immediately realized this place has basically everything you need for a…read moregood afternoon: a great patio on the water, good food, decent prices (which in 2026 deserves its own five-star review), cold drinks, and live music that somehow managed to be loud enough to enjoy without making me question whether my hearing insurance was up to date. The menu is basically the greatest hits of American civilization: burgers, hot dogs, chicken sandwiches, Italian sausage, decent ice cream selection, and for those under 12 who can still confidently recite the Pledge of Allegiance without accidentally starting with "In God We Trust." Free i scream you scream an ice cream cone!!! They've also got beer, wine, and mimosas, because apparently Sea worthy Lumberjacks believes in equality between breakfast, lunch, and questionable afternoon decisions. But i didn't live that dangerous and had bottomless raspberry tea which was absolutely delicious. Like, "Why have I been drinking regular tea like some kind of peasant?" delicious. The band was great, too. And then came the plot twist....They announced that Lumberjacks is closing at the end of the season because the property has been bought by the city. Cue the dramatic violin music. So apparently, after providing waterfront food, beverages, music, and a place for people to sit around enjoying themselves, civilization has decided we've had enough. The city has acquired the property, and the Lumberjacks era is coming to an end. Which is unfortunate because if I had a boat and an eye patch, I'd probably be permanently docked here by now. I'd have a raspberry tea in one hand, a beer in the other, and absolutely no idea where my boat came from. Great food. Great waterfront patio. Reasonable prices. Good music. Good drinks. And apparently a limited-time offer because the city is taking over. If you haven't been, go before the season ends. Because nothing says "support your local restaurant" quite like finding out it's being taken away and suddenly developing a deep emotional attachment to the place. 10/10 would return. 11/10 if I had a boat. 12/10 if someone gives me an eye patch. ‍

I was told those are only available during brunch -- totally fine, I get that certain specials have set times. However, I then tried to order the martini flight that was listed on the drink menu and was told that was seasonal and no longer available. That was a bit confusing, especially since it hadn't been removed. I also wasn't offered any alternative flavors or suggestions, which felt like a missed opportunity. I ended up ordering their standard espresso martini -- which they seem to pride themselves on -- but unfortunately it tasted burnt. It also appeared that the espresso isn't made fresh, as there was a bottle of espresso sitting on the bar. For a cocktail that really depends on quality espresso, that was disappointing. However my friend did try another cocktail off their drink menu and it was delicious. To finish our visit, I waited about 10 minutes just to get my check while the bartender was engaged in conversation with other bartenders. It made the experience feel inattentive and frustrating. The space itself has a cool vibe, but overall the experience fell short of expectations. I'd love to see more consistency between the menu, social media, and what's actually available, fresher preparation for a cocktail they promote so heavily, and more attentiveness at the bar.
