This place was great. Went for a nice dinner around 5:30 on a Tuesday. Food was great, and the loaded baked potato is a top tier side. Our waitress was amazing. She asked if it was our first time, which it was and she gave us a run down of everything on the menu. The restaurant itself is very small. Maybe 15 tables total. So you're kind of on top of other tables. But it was manageable. I would give this place 5 stars, but I ordered a 12 oz Filet medium rare and it was very rare. Waitress did tell us to cut into the steaks before walking away, but I did not cut directly down the center. Which I should have. So that's on me. But the size of the restaurant is a big downfall, and the prices are $$$$. You're gonna be spending at least $175 for two people if you go the steak route. read more

A friend and I ordered steak and lobster. My steak was overcooked. I let the server know it was replaced, but after my meal was finished, our server was not polite. Our bill was 300. I left 425 still a good tip. I made a call to the facility the next day left my name expressed my situation no reply no phone call. No nothing back. I shouldn't be subjected to a bad attitude with my server no contact with the owners or managers after my meal was destroyed by the fact that I ate half of it and got the other half a half hour later I wouldn't recommend this place and still to this date. I had no resolve. I should've been refunded my steak and Lobster cost and probably now my tip. Also, we were at the bar. There was a wonderful bartender. We're a huge fan of the Tuesday dinner for two, which includes 5 great entree options (strip steak, sushi grade tuna, salmon, pork chops or chicken), a salad, potato (get the loaded twice baked) and a bottle of wine. Our favorites are the tuna and salmon, but you can't go wrong with any of them. Get it blackened!! They don't accept reservations but do a great job getting you seated promptly or do what we do and enjoy the elaborate salt water fish tanks while eating at the bar. Small restaurant. Pretty cramped but the server seemed pretty friendly. Straws were super thin and hard to drink out of. I got the 8 oz blackened filet, and it was spectacular. Tender, seasoning was perfect, and flavorful. Fries had 0 flavor unlike the steak and I the glass ketchup bottle did not help because no one in the family or the server could get it out. So we've been there twice in the last 6 weeks. I ordered the strip steak and my guy the filet. The first time it was coated with their in house blacked steak seasoning very heavy and it was DELISH!!!! The 2nd time not so much. The appetizers are just meh, nothing special and not all that tasty. The atmosphere is upbeat. The restaurant itself is VERY small and cramped. The bar is too big of the restaurant in my opinion. I received a take out order from my son because grandma (me) babysat so they could go to Kennedys for New Year's Eve, I ate it the next day and the steaks are usually wonderful. I reheated it very slowly and it was ordered as medium rare so the reheat didn't affect the warm red interior. However, the meat was not as tender as it used to be (new owner?) and they used to dip the filets in butter. That's what I was told years ago when the Kennedys actually owned it. the potato was huge... too huge actually and they gave a side of butter which wasn't butter and I don't know what it was. the toasted bread that's always accompanied the steak was soaked in that fake butter as well and was not good. We finally made it here after saying we were going to try it for ages. The blackened seasoning on the steaks is delicious. We loved the banana peppers to start, along with the French onion soup. Very small restaurant with close, intimate seating. Has a tiny parking lot. There is a neat little aquarium filled with exotic fish between the bar and the hostess desk. Service was great. All servers were polite and friendly. My wife and I each got the 8oz filet mignon cooked with their 'blackened' seasoning they boast about. It was very juicy and had great flavor. She got the baked potato and I ordered French fries. Both were huge portions. The slice of garlic bread tasted great and was cooked fresh on the stove. Three of us had dinner at this place tonight. We called earlier in the day to try to get a reservation and were told by the owner that they do not take reservations. It's first come, first served. We arrived a few minutes after 6 and were told that it would be a 20 to 25 minute wait. No problem. We went to the (somewhat crowded) bar for a glass of wine while we waited. Well... we waited and waited and waited. Nearly an hour passed before our table was ready. Once we were seated it was another ten minutes until we were greeted by our server. She was very friendly, and we know that places are understaffed these days.... so we hardly minded. We looked at the menu and the extra handout that detailed items that were not available and those which had an up-charge for the evening. For dinner two of us had filet mignon (one 8 ounce and one 10 ounce) and one of us had the Louisiana Hot Chicken. All entrees come with a choice of soup or salad, a baked potato or french fries, and garlic bread (which comes out with the entree, not with the starter.... weird!). The salads were tasty and fresh and served with a little cup of dressing on the side. The soup was judged as "just okay". It took a very (!!!) long time for our entrees to come out after we finished our starters: at least 30 minutes. They looked plentiful, but other than the chicken, which came with a sweetened waffle (interesting and yummy), the food was just sort of meh. Both steaks were over-cooked and tough (although the blackened seasoning was tasty). The twice-baked potatoes (available for an up-charge) were overdone and dried out. The garlic bread was soggy and greasy. We figured we would end our not-to-thrilling meal with something sweet. We were told all desserts are made in-house. We ordered a slice each of the peanut butter pie and the key lime pie to share. We were told a short while after ordering that they were out of peanutbutter pie.... so we decided to just share the key lime. It was frozen (almost too much to get a fork through) and artificial tasting with hardly a tang. Disappointing meal! We won't be back. read more

We arrived at around 5:45 on a Friday night, it wasn't very busy but they had set aside a large table for an incoming party in the dining room so nothing was available right away. We didn't want to sit at a table in the bar area so we waited. We were told it would be a 10min wait but it ended up being 55min... OK, good food is worth the wait, right? Well, that didn't apply in this case. We were brought to a table smack in the middle of everyone's path next to the large party. Every 5 seconds someone was bumping into our chairs because that's how ridiculously tight it was. We asked to be seated at another table that was freeing up and were told "oh that's for Maggie". Well, who the heck is Maggie??? I thought they didn't take reservations??? I guess the rules are different when you know them by name. Moving on to the food. I got the seafood bisque to start and oh boy, what a joke. THEY USED IMITATION CRAB!!! If I wasn't so hungry I would have spit it out and sent it back. There was no actual seafood to speak of, except I might have tasted a tiny piece of shrimp. Next, clams casino - they were pretty tasty but like most restaurants, there was just a little too much breading. For my entree I ordered the filet and crab cake. Again, the crab cake had too much breading, but at least it wasn't imitation crab this time, though they used the same "seafood" bisque on top (thank goodness I got it on the side). The cut of my filet was excellent, but I got it "blackened" and it sure didn't taste blackened to me, or at least not the way I remembered it. Not to mention, it took almost an hour to get our entrees! I wasn't even hungry anymore by the time we got our food - I was full of "there was imitation crab in my seafood bisque" and "there's Maggie at the corner table with no one bumping into her chair every 5 seconds" anger. Perhaps my taste buds have been spoiled over the years, or perhaps this place has just gone WAY down the hill, I don't know. What I do know though, is that I will never return nor will I recommend this place to anyone I know, especially when their prices rival many other restaurants in the Buffalo area with better steaks and WITHOUT IMITATION CRAB (or Maggie). read more

I've driven by this place a million times and had no idea it would be so good. We made a reservation for 7:30 and despite running a few minutes late, it wasn't an issue. We were immediately seated and had the table closest to the fish tank. The waitress was very friendly, funny, and helpful. She recommended the bang bang shrimp as an app and it didn't disappoint. It was perfect and had just enough kick. We also ordered the seafood bisque. With a little bit of salt added, it was delicious. Actually wish they would've gave a little more. I have to admit my first impression of this place is that it is too expensive. However, I have learned to appreciate their specials as a way to cushion the normal menu costs. Mondays they have a delicious 12 oz. tenderloin burger and on Tuesdays a great dinner for two that even includes a bottle of wine! On my last visit we did the dinner for two. I had the 12 oz. blackened strip steak and my boyfriend had the twin chicken breasts (also blackened). I wasn't a huge fan of my twice baked potato as I found it too plain, so I will just get fries next time. I cannot comment on the taste of the desserts because I am always too full to order. I did see apple crisp and carrot cake served to a nearby table and everyone around was in awe of their size. We've had after dinner cocktails at the bar on other occasions and they are a little pricy, but when cashing in on the above deals it's worth the trip. Wow wow wow!! This gem has been on my list for too long and I wish I would have come here sooner! The steak is AMAZING. I don't say that lightly. This is truly heavenly steak that will grace your palate and make you sing to the gods! We have the pleasure of visiting Kennedy's Cove each year for a holiday party. We look forward to it for months in advance. We've had many of the appetizers - enormous shrimp cocktail, BBQ scallops with perfectly crispy bacon wrapped around them, clams casino, some of the hottest stuffed peppers ever, and fried mozzarella which are our favorites. For dinner, I usually have the surf and turf which comes with a petite filet and large lobster tail. Don't be afraid to order your steak 'blackened' when the server suggests it. It is a spice rub, not a Cajun flavor. My boyfriend gets the rib eye and I'm always jealous that I didn't order it too, but I can't get away from that lobster! Best gem in Clarence! If you want an amazing burger, this is your place! They offer special prices on sunday and monday's for their burgers. They cost $7 and they are huge! I have had the turkey burger and the regular burger, both were delicious. The sides are ala carte for a small fee. I have also had their grilled romaine salad and that is also very good. The owner is always there and is very friendly, you can see him walking around talking to his customers which is nice. The servers are very attentive and friendly as well.
