Delicious delicious delicious! Met up with some high school friends from 51 years ago for lunch and sat outside on the patio. The food was amazing, I had the Tropical salad that had coconut shrimp and scallops on it with so much more like pineapple, craisins and strawberry poppyseed dressing. I was stuffed ! I couldn't even eat dessert. The price was higher than a reg salad but it was seafood and lots of it... The waitress was super nice, always checking on us and made the whole experience a plus. Went to Connor's for the first time in years, and it was much bigger than I remembered. It's a really cute place with a nice atmosphere. Unfortunately, the service was extremely slow, and I'm not sure if the issue was with the servers, the kitchen, or just the way the service was organized. We were greeted and told to sit wherever we wanted. One server took our drink order, and then a different server came over to take our food order. Shortly after we ordered, a couple sat down next to us. They placed their order, received both their appetizers and entrees, finished eating, paid their bill, and left before our dinners even arrived. Another server eventually noticed we were still waiting, and, conveniently, our food came out about five minutes later. The long wait was frustrating and seemed unnecessary. That said, once our food finally arrived, it was absolutely delicious, and I was really happy with the meal. If the service were more efficient, this would have been a much better experience. read more

Lunch today at Connor's, the special starting on the 9'th is corned beef and cabbage so the restaurant was crowded but only a 5 or so minute wait for a table if 5. As we were at the table enjoying cocktails everyone around us was getting the corned beef so we all opted for it too. The beef was real tender and flavorful, it came with carrots, potatoes and a cabbage wedge. Nice size portion for $19.99. Would probably go back next year for it. The service was on the slow side but we did get a good table in back by the windows. read more

Traditional fish was greasy and not very crispy. Overall the food was decent, there were a lot of customers for an early dinner, and the atmosphere was comfortable. I'd consider eating here again but trying something different. The server may have been tired because she wasn't friendly but started lightening up as she got to know us. I came for a fish fry. I got the traditional. The fish was ok. A little less crispy and more greasy than I wanted. It tasted alright though. One person got the breaded fish and it looked a little crispier. The sides were all pretty good. We started with the pierogis. They were ok but I wouldn't get them again, especially for the price. Daughter got pretzel logs and they were good. The absolute one of the best places to get a codfish fry with three sides. Their German potato salad is delicious as always, as well as the macaroni salad. Connor's is an institution in the west Seneca area service was quick and attentive. They had very friendly staff. It wasn't a lot of noise or difficulty moving around. My significant other and i came here on a Saturday afternoon. I was so surprised to see they offered a fish fry every day! So i got the beer battered fish and my sig/other got the roast beef on weck. The fish fry was very good! The batter was not too heavy and cooked just right. The sides of fries, and coleslaw were standard. I thought the fish was a bit smaller than other places, but that didnt really concern me. Now the roast beef! Wow was that good! I have to say, it was better than the other nearby local place that specializes in roast beef! The beef was fall-apart tender, juicy and piled high! The wait staff were friendly and came by the table just enough. I noticed that day that they also offered detroit style deep dish pizza! My favorite! I've had Detroit style IN Detroit as well as a few awesome places in Roch. So i came back for the pizza. Unfortunately, this was NOT good here. It was very small for $18 and i didnt like the crust (the best part!). The sauce was a bit too thick and not that great either, and i couldnt find much cheese. Probably had the worst server we've ever had in a restaurant. The lady was rude unattended and condescending. She did not do. An adequate job of taking care of the six ladies that were at my table. She forgot things never came back to ask us if we wanted more drinks or how our food was had to ask for everything at least twice had a Puss of a face don't know her name no name tag, but she wore her dark brown hair up on a bun on top of her head with a head scarf she knows who she is so bad that we will not be coming back again. I only left a 15% tip, which is out of the norm for me, which is usually 2 5% minimum the food was just OK. Can you believe in this beautiful summer season that their vegetable was canned corn no beautiful fresh squashes beans or fresh corn had a special on wings which one of the ladies ordered no blue cheese celery with it that's and charge, but she didn't say anything at the table when the lady did order the wings. Also the roast beef was cold and dry no sauce sauce no gravy. The hamburger one of the ladies had looked delicious. One lady had a baked potato had to send it back, not cooked in the middle. Connor's is a great neighborhood place to stop and grab a bite to eat. I came here with a friend after a business meeting and we just so happened to stumble upon 50 cent wing night. We had artichoke and spinach dip and ordered 10 wings each. The wings were delicious and I enjoyed it. The dip was also good. What I didn't enjoy was that the bus boy kept coming up to us and trying to take our food away, not once but twice. We even asked him outright if he was closing, despite there being other tables around us, and he said they weren't closing yet. The waitress put our food down, and not 5 minutes later the bus boy came up to us and tried to take our dip away. Go find something else to do and stop harassing the customers. I love Buffalo-style pizza, although, Detroit-style is a VERY close second favorite. It's been a long time since I've had Detroit-style and I saw an article in the Buffalo News about Detroit-style pizzas in Buffalo and Connor's Restaurant was mentioned. I finally had an opportunity to come and try theirs. In short: I will be back again! Family and I arrived around 5:30pm on a Saturday and were able to find a parking spot pretty easily. Being our first time here, we accidently walked into the bar entrance instead of the restaurant entrance but it doesn't matter as it's all interconnected. The host told us we could sit anywhere we like, so we grabbed a small table near the kitchen. The host brought menus to us and stepped away, giving us time to start looking at the menu. After a couple minutes, our waitress came over and showed us the beer list and we both ordered a draft and a glass of water. As we looked at the menu, specifically the "Connor's Pan Pizza" section, we noticed the place started getting REALLY busy, so it took a little extra time for our waitress to come back to take our food order. That was fine though this let us relax and chit-chat for a bit. Our waitress was plenty very friendly though and did her best to check on us throughout. So for dinner, we both ordered a Detroit-style pizza from the "Connor's Pan Pizza" section. I went with the "Dueling Pepperoni Pizza". This was red sauce (made with a garlic and oregano), a layer of flat pepperoni, then topped with a cheese blend and cup 'n' char pepperoni, then finished with shaved pecorino romano cheese. What makes Detroit-style unique is the soft but thicker dough with the caramelized cheese along the edge of the crust. This pizza was soo good! I loved the generous amount of red sauce on top and both my family and I appreciated the balanced, savory flavor where it wasn't too garlic-y and the oregano stood out a bit. If you like cheese, then you'll LOVE this pizza as this was plenty cheesy! Having both flat and cup 'n' char pepperoni was awesome - I really love that slight crispiness from cup 'n' char pepperoni. Now the dough was plenty thick and filling, but pillow-y soft. It was easy to bit into and had an excellent chew. The crust with the caramelized cheese was excellent, adding a satisfying crunch to every slice. The size of the pizza too was great - 8"x10" rectangle, four slices. I ate the entire pizza and felt incredibly satisfied without feeling "stuffed". I also thought the prices for both our pizzas was very affordable, especially with how generous the size and thickness of our pizzas. Connor's Restaurant is a cozy bar and restaurant that has a relaxing, easy-going local feel. The staff working were very courteous and did a good job handling the nice-size crowd coming in. Their food menu was very extensive and had all of the Buffalo-staples, for pretty affordable prices. Obviously, being a pizza-guy, I was all about their Detroit-style pizza and I thought it was excellent! I look forward to coming back and getting another but with the "Clark Classic" toppings. read more

We have gone to this place several times and all has been bad. First, the menu prices do not match what they actually charge in the restaurant. We complained and they made a grand inquisition about it instead of giving us our money back for the deliberate rip off. Went there on December 20 one Friday and what a rotten experience this was. A large blue Ford pickup had blocked in my driver's side door so I could not get in. Went back inside to ask who's truck it was and got no response. The terrible owner was there and did absolutely nothing about it, as this amused this clown. What a classic greedy loser the owner is. We will never go back to this terrible place. read more

Ordered a battered fish fry to go and was very disappointed. It wasn't nearly as good as I remember from a couple of years ago. The fish was watery so the batter wasn't crispy and it fell apart. The macaroni salad was very bland and the fries were limp and not flavorable; all items tasted like they weren't salted at all. I don't salt my food after cooking, but I had to salt everything on my plate to make it edible. I ended up throwing out the fries and macaroni salad and gave my fish (minus the soggy crust), to my pets. In fact, the best thing on my plate was the slice of rye bread. Had a nice dinner here with friends. We went on a Friday, so we did have to wait (don't take reservations), but it wasn't more than 20 minutes. We did have a drink at the bar which was crowded, but we got a seat after a couple minutes. Our server Audra was very pleasant and attentive. Two of us ordered the beer battered fish, one ordered the broiled (lemon Cajun flavored not on the menu, but they'll do it if you ask), and the other the Rueben. The food took some time, but understandably since it was busy, but everything came out hot and fresh. The fish was good, but was cod (did not say on the menu), not haddock, so not as flavorful. I was told the Rueben was good and seemed to be stacked with a decent amount of meat. All in all, a nice evening and we didn't have any issues. Would return but probably won't get the fish again, but lots of other options. read more

Connor's is cozy and has the ideal neighborhood bar / restaurant ambiance. Wait staff are kind and welcoming. Beer is cold. The fish fry and French onion soup are top notch. Everything else is meh. Beef on weck is usually very rare. Stuffed peppers are soggy. Rueben was tough and chewy. I'd only recommend going here for Fish Fry Friday but expect to wait a while before sitting down. read more

We stopped bye for the $.50 wing special. You need to order wings in batches of 10 wings. I had medium; which we're very crispy and had only a hint of flavor.( I would have considered them mild).Our other order was hot and were nicely covered in a spicy sauce. Note that these do not come with any celery or carrots, but we ordered a basket of onion rings to go with them. There were a lot of tasty onion rings in the basket which made.it easy to share. Connor's also has a nice awning covering the back deck and a large parking lot too. The inside still has the old neighborhood feel to it. They have a large menu and good specials. I saw an article about this place being the "Other" good place in West Seneca to get Beef on Weck from. In fact it stated that it was a Resident's choice, so I decided to try them when my wife had a craving for the Savory goodness of a Beef on Weck. This place definitely has one of the better tasting Beef on Wecks that I've ever had. It was Juicey, and Savory and on a bun that stood up to the Aus Jus from the Meat. So delicious. We also got Onion Rings there as well cause who doesn't like those. Again I was thoroughly impressed. I'm not sure if they are fresh made on site, but if not, whoever they get them from has that down pat. And lastly the Fries with Gravy were great as well. My only gripe with this place was that you get charged 3 dollars for a Soda, but don't allow even one complementary refill. That seems...odd. read more

We ordered "To Go" fish frys and they were very good! Hot and tasty, sides were very good. Definitely had that homemade taste! My husband got the Baked and I had the Breaded. He was VERY pleased with his and I thought maybe a few too many fries...But, you cannot complain about having too much food, RIGHT? My family and I went here for dinner last night for the first time. We went in around 730 pm and to find out they had 2 for 1 appetizers and 50 cent wings. We ordered the mozzarella sticks and stuffed peppers for apps. They were super good. My son ordered the steak sandwich, my daughter wanted pizza, I ordered hot wings and my husband had the roast beef sandwich and onion rings. We were also super excited they had Birch beer. They have a special for 50 cent wings after 7 pm. We had a party of 5 and they said we had to have a dinner at a cost of $15.00+ to get the wings. This is a rip off I only agreed to it because my mother-in-law frequently visits the place. The food is not that good, service is the only thing that is good. I've been here before and had burnt fish that sucked as well as a dried out burger. Like I said the only reason I came is for my mother-in-law. Go someplace else!!!
