Lunch today at Connor's, the special starting on the 9'th is corned beef and cabbage so the restaurant was crowded but only a 5 or so minute wait for a table if 5. As we were at the table enjoying cocktails everyone around us was getting the corned beef so we all opted for it too. The beef was real tender and flavorful, it came with carrots, potatoes and a cabbage wedge. Nice size portion for $19.99. Would probably go back next year for it. The absolute one of the best places to get a codfish fry with three sides. Their German potato salad is delicious as always, as well as the macaroni salad. Connor's is an institution in the west Seneca area service was quick and attentive. They had very friendly staff. It wasn't a lot of noise or difficulty moving around. My significant other and i came here on a Saturday afternoon. I was so surprised to see they offered a fish fry every day! So i got the beer battered fish and my sig/other got the roast beef on weck. Connor's is a great neighborhood place to stop and grab a bite to eat. I came here with a friend after a business meeting and we just so happened to stumble upon 50 cent wing night. We had artichoke and spinach dip and ordered 10 wings each. The wings were delicious and I enjoyed it. The dip was also good. What I didn't enjoy was that the bus boy kept coming up to us and trying to take our food away, not once but twice. We even asked him outright if he was closing, despite there being other tables around us, and he said they weren't closing yet. The waitress put our food down, and not 5 minutes later the bus boy came up to us and tried to take our dip away. Go find something else to do and stop harassing the customers. We have gone to this place several times and all has been bad. First, the menu prices do not match what they actually charge in the restaurant. We complained and they made a grand inquisition about it instead of giving us our money back for the deliberate rip off. Went there on December 20 one Friday and what a rotten experience this was. A large blue Ford pickup had blocked in my driver's side door so I could not get in. Went back inside to ask who's truck it was and got no response. The macaroni salad was very bland and the fries were limp and not flavorable; all items tasted like they weren't salted at all. I don't salt my food after cooking, but I had to salt everything on my plate to make it edible. I love Buffalo-style pizza, although, Detroit-style is a VERY close second favorite. It's been a long time since I've had Detroit-style and I saw an article in the Buffalo News about Detroit-style pizzas in Buffalo and Connor's Restaurant was mentioned. I finally had an opportunity to come and try theirs. In short: I will be back again! Family and I arrived around 5:30pm on a Saturday and were able to find a parking spot pretty easily. Being our first time here, we accidently walked into the bar entrance instead of the restaurant entrance but it doesn't matter as it's all interconnected. The host told us we could sit anywhere we like, so we grabbed a small table near the kitchen. The host brought menus to us and stepped away, giving us time to start looking at the menu. After a couple minutes, our waitress came over and showed us the beer list and we both ordered a draft and a glass of water. As we looked at the menu, specifically the "Connor's Pan Pizza" section, we noticed the place started getting REALLY busy, so it took a little extra time for our waitress to come back to take our food order. That was fine though this let us relax and chit-chat for a bit. Our waitress was plenty very friendly though and did her best to check on us throughout. So for dinner, we both ordered a Detroit-style pizza from the "Connor's Pan Pizza" section. I went with the "Dueling Pepperoni Pizza". This was red sauce (made with a garlic and oregano), a layer of flat pepperoni, then topped with a cheese blend and cup 'n' char pepperoni, then finished with shaved pecorino romano cheese. What makes Detroit-style unique is the soft but thicker dough with the caramelized cheese along the edge of the crust. This pizza was soo good! I loved the generous amount of red sauce on top and both my family and I appreciated the balanced, savory flavor where it wasn't too garlic-y and the oregano stood out a bit. If you like cheese, then you'll LOVE this pizza as this was plenty cheesy! Having both flat and cup 'n' char pepperoni was awesome - I really love that slight crispiness from cup 'n' char pepperoni. Now the dough was plenty thick and filling, but pillow-y soft. It was easy to bit into and had an excellent chew. The crust with the caramelized cheese was excellent, adding a satisfying crunch to every slice. The size of the pizza too was great - 8"x10" rectangle, four slices. I ate the entire pizza and felt incredibly satisfied without feeling "stuffed". I also thought the prices for both our pizzas was very affordable, especially with how generous the size and thickness of our pizzas. Connor's Restaurant is a cozy bar and restaurant that has a relaxing, easy-going local feel. The staff working were very courteous and did a good job handling the nice-size crowd coming in. Their food menu was very extensive and had all of the Buffalo-staples, for pretty affordable prices. Obviously, being a pizza-guy, I was all about their Detroit-style pizza and I thought it was excellent! Had a nice dinner here with friends. We went on a Friday, so we did have to wait (don't take reservations), but it wasn't more than 20 minutes. We did have a drink at the bar which was crowded, but we got a seat after a couple minutes. Our server Audra was very pleasant and attentive. Two of us ordered the beer battered fish, one ordered the broiled (lemon Cajun flavored not on the menu, but they'll do it if you ask), and the other the Rueben. The food took some time, but understandably since it was busy, but everything came out hot and fresh. The fish was good, but was cod (did not say on the menu), not haddock, so not as flavorful. I was told the Rueben was good and seemed to be stacked with a decent amount of meat. All in all, a nice evening and we didn't have any issues. I had medium; which we're very crispy and had only a hint of flavor.( I would have considered them mild).Our other order was hot and were nicely covered in a spicy sauce. Note that these do not come with any celery or carrots, but we ordered a basket of onion rings to go with them. There were a lot of tasty onion rings in the basket which made.it easy to share. Connor's also has a nice awning covering the back deck and a large parking lot too. The inside still has the old neighborhood feel to it. They have a large menu and good specials. I saw an article about this place being the "Other" good place in West Seneca to get Beef on Weck from. In fact it stated that it was a Resident's choice, so I decided to try them when my wife had a craving for the Savory goodness of a Beef on Weck. This place definitely has one of the better tasting Beef on Wecks that I've ever had. It was Juicey, and Savory and on a bun that stood up to the Aus Jus from the Meat. So delicious. We also got Onion Rings there as well cause who doesn't like those. Again I was thoroughly impressed. I'm not sure if they are fresh made on site, but if not, whoever they get them from has that down pat. And lastly the Fries with Gravy were great as well. My only gripe with this place was that you get charged 3 dollars for a Soda, but don't allow even one complementary refill. That seems...odd. read more

My family and I went here for dinner last night for the first time. We went in around 730 pm and to find out they had 2 for 1 appetizers and 50 cent wings. We ordered the mozzarella sticks and stuffed peppers for apps. They were super good. Went there as a 6 top got seated right away, however, it took the waitress more then 10 minutes to return with drinks (not necessarily her fault looked like she had at least 7 tables). We ordered one app, and each ordered a simple meal (sandwiches, pasta or salads). The restaurant look busy but not packed for a Saturday night. It took an hour for our entrees to hit the table. The food was lukewarm at best. The real issue that I had was they have a big nice handicap accessible ramp to enter the restaurant, but with that being said the restroom is not handicap accessible. In addition the toilet does have a full stall around it or a door, and I did not see a lock on the men's room door, so anyone could of just walked in and saw me sitting on the toilet, lucky that did not happen. read more

Broiled or battered haddock is the centerpiece (1/2 orders for smaller appetites). American potato salad or German potato salad (preferred) and coleslaw and macaroni salad round out perfection. Great apps (stuffed banana peppers, Pierogis, etc) are available. Connor's also boasts great beef on weck, wings, pastas, steaks, sandwiches and a full menu that goes on and on. St. Patty's day warrants a visit for perfect corned beef & cabbage. When it's busy, the staff performs efficiently with apparent ease. Went for a family dinner. For my meal I wanted perogies which were on the appetizer menu, on Mondays-Thusdays after 7 pm if you buy one appetizer you get one free so we also ordered pizza logs. The other meals ordered were 2 turkey dinners, one with a baked potato and one with fries, and a roast beef platter (from the specials board), which included a roast beef sandwich, 5 wings, and fries. I also ordered a house salad with italian dressing. The pizza logs and perogies came out quickly, there were 5 pizza logs and I think 8 perogies. The pizza logs were very good, cooked well. The perogies had a lot of filling (cheddar/potato) served with sour cream. They were good. Everyone enjoyed their meals. I liked that the house salad had green and black olives and chickpeas. The portions are large. For 70 dollars everyone left full. Our waitress did not offer refills of our water, iced tea, and birch beer we had to ask for them. If you want water, they sell bottled water for $2.50. This is so ridiculous that I actually thought the server was playing a joke on me.
