Unfortunately, that really wasn't our experience. The biggest issue was cleanliness. The entire place felt tired and dirty. The carpets looked heavily worn and stained, the booths had food stuck in the crevices, and overall it just didn't feel clean or well maintained. The dishes and drinkware didn't help. The coffee mugs, which were once white, were badly stained and dingy looking. My mother actually rubbed something off hers, and the waitress explained that it "wasn't dirty, just stained." Not exactly the best first impression, especially at $55 per person for brunch. We ordered mimosas after that, hoping things would improve, but even the champagne glasses looked questionable and were filled to noticeably different levels. Then the food arrived, and unfortunately it only got worse. Everything was served "family style," but there was no menu or explanation of what was coming. The meal felt random and poorly executed. Some highlights included: * A single store-bought pastry cut into pieces * Mac and cheese that tasted like boxed Velveeta * Deep-fried breakfast sausages * Ham that resembled warmed-up lunch meat * Three shrimp total for two people * A bowl of stew meat that felt completely out of place * An Eggs Benedict attempt that simply didn't work To make matters worse, some of the silverware and plates appeared dirty as well. By the end, we honestly couldn't wait to leave. The automatic $20 holiday service charge on top of the already expensive brunch really sealed the experience for us. Sadly, this was one of the most disappointing restaurant experiences we've had in quite a while.

The parking is odd with a little lot in front but, plenty of street parking around. You enter into the bar and there's a dining room in back. Nothing fancy here, it's a busy neighborhood place with a good feeling. They happened to be having a trivia night and it was jumping. The menu is pretty standard bar food with some interesting additions. Most importantly, all the food seemed well thought out and prepared well. We saw some spaghetti dishes and other parm items as well as wings and big beef on wecks. I chose a pizza burger which was delicious and attractively presented and my friend had a chopped cheese steak, both with fries. I was surprised that whoever is in the kitchen, took the time to grill the roll, have fresh ground beef and make it nice. In a city with a lot of little local places, it really stands out and makes a difference. The waitress, one for the whole room, worked hard and everyone seemed happy. The food was quick and she kept on top of the beers- ha. Definitely won't take as long to come back here!

Nobody had napkins then looked outside. Everybody had cloth napkins on the table. She came back and gave us paper napkins, $48 entrée and we got paper napkins. She brought out her entrées. My wife's Seabass was actually good, but the side of carrot sticks were raw and the mashed potatoes was out of a box. The potatoes were larger than the entrée. My chicken Parm was deep-fried and well done as you can see in the picture. The sauce on the chicken parm was horrible. The penne pasta was cooked right but had that chunky sauce on it. We read all the reviews and they were not good. But we thought we'd give it a try anyways the owner said they've been open for six weeks and that's plenty of time to work out the bugs but unfortunately, we will never be going back. My brown buttered scallops were served in a butternut squash purée with hazelnuts, a touch of Sherry and topped with pickled apple. Lovely. We chose for a side, the crispy brussels sprouts which were sprinkled with grated hazelnuts, served with smoky bacon chunks and drizzled with balsamic vinegar. Perfection. Their selection of wine, beer, and other drinks is small, but well thought out. My companion had a creation called "Common Exponential" which was decidedly orange flavored with cinnamon and cloves. She loved it. For dessert we shared a generous slice of a magnificent lemon - almond cake with poached pears and good coffee, mine with real cream. I was impressed by the quality of the table setting. The La Tavola flatware is beautifully weighted and unmistakably upscale, while the Robert Gordon stoneware has a handsome, handcrafted look that feels both modern and sophisticated. These are small details, perhaps, but they contribute enormously to the sense that Grezi has put real thought into the entire dining experience. The candlelight and single red flower in a bud vase added to the intimacy of the evening. And the service was spectacular. Cynthia and her colleagues made sure that everything was perfect. They came by often enough to make certain we didn't need anything, but not so often as to become annoying. Cynthia was warm and friendly and I can say that all of the staff who came to our table truly seemed to enjoy what they were doing, and that matters to diners who seek a complete culinary experience.
