So PooBoy, coleslaw and diced pork on a sub roll! Definitely needs the coleslaw! Add some orange bottle sauce, outstanding! But you have to fight it a bit to eat! Chicken sandwich with bacon. Great flavors, roll was not eaten! Now our sides! Fries, onion rings, chili and Brunswick stew...the fries were potato wedges, the onion rings were huge and outstanding, the chili was delicious and the Brunswick stew was really nice! Everything had a little heat in it (not crazy)! Overall we could have fed 4 of us! To me and my birthday buddy it was tasty, yummy and well made! We enjoyed our time here and we will be back! My husband and I brought our baby with us here for lunch to meet up with a friend. They were great at accommodating our stroller at a table. It wasn't super busy since it had just opened for lunch Our server was great and super friendly. I ordered the pulled pork sandwich with fries. It was delicious! It was the perfect amount of pork on the bun and the fries were crispy and well seasoned. We love coming here when the weather is nice to sit out on the patio. read more

On our way to the Peach Festival, we stopped at Brickyard BBQ, and my date and I were so impressed with both the food and the service. Our waitress greeted us before we even had a chance to settle into our seats, asking for our drink order right away. When she returned, she took the time to walk us through the menu and even helped us decide what to try. We shared the 3-meat platter along with French onion soup and the pepperoncini dip. Everything was full of flavor and cooked perfectly. The service was just as impressive--our waitress checked in often and even brought me a pop refill without me having to ask (always a win in my book!). Overall, the food was delicious, the service was excellent, and I'll definitely be going back. read more

I can't believe we just finally visited the Brickyard for the first time. The first thing I need to say is that the photos on yelp don't do this place justice. Ive looked at them before and just kind of been like "ehhh." The server was super friendly, was constantly seeing if we needed anything. Tons of indoor and outdoor seating. Wasn't too busy when we were there. We skipped getting appetizers because we were only there for lunch and were ordering massive meals. My fiance had two different of the Brickyard branded beers. The sour was so so, but he loved the pineapple IPA that he tried. We both ordered the combos where we can pick 3 meats and 2 sides. I had pulled pork (biggest serving ever), turkey (delicious but a bit grizzly), and the meatloaf (big piece full of andouille spice!) Sweet potato fries were good, Mac and cheese was heavenly!!! My fiance had brisket that he loved, also a heaping pile of pulled pork, and ribs that he enjoyed. He had the Cajun corn which was so good he wished it filled the plate. It was very spicy but delish. I had a great lunch at the Brickyard today. First THEY HAVE A PARKINGLOT. In Lewiston, this doesn't always happen, it's in the back off the one-way street. The outdoor patio looked awesome, unfortunately I visited on the rainiest day so we couldn't enjoy it. They say us right away and accommodated my kids, who wanted a side as a main and another side for their kids meals. It was a relief that they were willing to do that. They also sat 5 of us at a 5 top rather than a 4 top with a height chair, which k really appreciated. The sandwich I got was an upgrade to get brisket, extra $5!! I thought that was really expensive and I wish I had selected something else. I ended up paying $21 for a sandwich served with chips, not even fries, and there were only 2 pieces of meat on the sandwich. I'm still giving the place a 5 star review even with the little critiques I have. I will stop in again if I need food while I am in Lewiston! read more

I don't get out to Lewiston much due to its distance, but sometimes it's nice to go somewhere different and where there isn't any riff raff or odd smells and at some other bars I have visited. I don't drink often at all, nor do I stay out late, but it was a nice evening. The bartender, Melissa, was so nice and did a great job taking care of everything. I asked her to just make me something sweet and fruity. She asked which type of liquor I like, as well as if I like coconut, and made me the perfect drink! It was also pretty to look at. I can't tell you the amount of times I have asked a bartender something like this over the years and they can't whip something up, I have to google something, they're annoyed, as if I'm twisting an arm, and it's not good or pretty to look at. Melissa nailed it all and I applaud her for knowing how to be a proper bartender. The patrons itself were nice. There was no issues like fighting and such. Just nice people enjoying a night-cap. The music was good too, and not too loud either. I would absolutely recommend the Brickyard! read more

We stopped in here around 3pm on a Tuesday and sat at the bar, hoping to have a refreshing drink, then planned to move to a table later to eat. We were welcomed by Colin, who was very helpful to us in deciding what drinks to order. After sampling, we decided on a Blueberry Pilsner and a Brickyard Pub Cider, both made in house, and of good quality. We enjoyed speaking with Colin and found him to be very personable and knowledgeable, so we stayed and ate at the bar. He told us about the special of the day, which was brisket tacos with cheesy shells. We ordered Smoked Wings, the Brisket Taco special, and the Smokehouse Sampler Appetizer. Our food arrived quickly and we dug in. Everything we ordered was tasty and well prepared. We were disappointed in the small amount of food in the Smokehouse Sampler. At the price of $17.50, it seemed skimpy. We especially like the ambiance here. The music is played low so conversation can be heard. The vibe is relaxed, upbeat, and no whining is allowed. My family came in to celebrate my aunt's 60th birthday and we loved the homey atmosphere. Despite being a large group of seven, we were seated pretty quickly. Our server, Alyssa, was friendly and patient, especially with my family who is sometimes a little all over the place. We started with the nachos and they were delicious, we loved how loaded they were and the size made them perfect for sharing with our big family. All the food was so good, I was too busy stuffing my face and completely forgot to take pictures of most of our dishes. The brisket was tender, succulent, and flavourful. It was cooked to perfection and smooth like butter to cut. I loved how rich the flavours were. My mom was speechless and my cousin thought it was smoky and tender. We ended up ordering a second platter because of how much we loved it. I loved the mac and cheese, it paired perfectly with the meat. It was super creamy and honestly the perfect comfort food. It was my favourite of the sides. We got the chilli as well and I enjoyed how filling and protein-packed it was. Dipping the potato wedges in the chilli made for a perfect combo and I would totally recommend. We also ordered the baby back ribs and I loved the sauce. The ribs were delicious, but my uncle wished they were cooked to fall off the bone. It was a little hard to tear the meat off the bone and I had to resort to using my hands instead of a fork and knife. My only qualm is that the food got cold on my plate very quickly. I'm not sure if this happened because the restaurant is pretty cold-- I had goosebumps most of the time I was seated-- or if the vessels used weren't good at retaining the heat of the dishes. The mac and cheese was cold from my first bite and within five minutes all the food on my plate wasn't even warm. The only food that came piping hot to our table were the potato wedges. For dessert my aunt wanted the happy ending. I was a little skeptical, but the fried cornbread was delicious and paired really well with the creamy vanilla ice cream. My aunt said she loved it and my uncle said he felt like he was at Canada's Wonderland. I personally am not a huge fan of the fried food aftertaste, but I still enjoyed it. The juxtaposition of texture between the crunchy fried cornbread and the melting vanilla ice cream was perfect. My cousin opted for the peanut butter chocolate cheesecake and I thought the graham cracker crust was so delicious. I'm normally a peanut butter hater, but I loved how delicious it tasted paired with the chocolate. The dense cake was so yummy and I loved the crunch of the crust. Overall we had a great time and we loved how patient and kind our server, Alyssa, was. She provided great beer recommendations for my aunt and uncle and answered all our menu questions thoroughly and effectively. I was looking for a lunch place and this lady in the coffee shop recommended Brickyard BBQ. I was looking to try a variety of different meats, so I ordered the BBQ sampler appetizer and added a side coleslaw. That was a lot of food in this order. I got a slice of brisket, some pulled pork, and a small rack of St. Louis baby rib. The brisket and ribs were delicious, the pulled pork was a little dry without a lot of favor. Coleslaw was good. I stopped by here earlier today with my father for dinner. We were in Lewiston for the night because we were fishing the next day. Since we didn't know where to go i fired up Yelp and ultimately decided on the brickyard pub and bbq. This restaurant is located right on center street in downtown Lewiston and they have their brewery next door. It was hopping whenever we got there with a couple of groups in front of us at the hostess station and more piled up behind us as we waited. We were eventually seated at a two top inside. They had a couple of different areas including a large bar, a patio with bar and then the seating where we were at. There were 3 TVs in our area, all with a flavor of baseball/softball on them. For dinner on this evening I started out with the Lewiston lager and then ordered the brick. The menu described the brick as Andouille blended meatloaf open-faced on Texas toast w/ crispy onions and also noted it as being spicy. My lager came out first and was what I expected as it was a nice smooth sipper. The meatloaf came out next and looked exactly how it was described on the menu. My meatloaf ended up being pretty good as it was cooked nicely and packed with flavor. There was definitely a bit of a spice at the finish which I enjoyed. As I was eating I noticed that their BBQ sauce was an award winner and tried it on my meatloaf. Dang was it good. Smokey and sweet with just a bit of backend heat and I put it on everything including the chips and Texas toast. The bottom line for me is that I would head back here again in the future. I enjoyed both my beer and my meatloaf and would love to try some more of their BBQ. read more

We needed a good quick bite so we decided to stop In at the brickyard, having been here in the past we knew what we were in for. We were seated very quickly and within a couple minutes our waitress was there to get our drink and food orders in. The food and drink showed up surprisingly quickly, which is always appreciated when you're dining with your child. The beer was cold and refreshing (blueberry)/not pictured. The misses opted for the perky turkey sandwich the cranberry/ horseradish combo topping was a nice flavor match to the smoked turkey. I opted for the pick 3 platter (st Louis ribs/pulled pork/turkey. The ribs (3bones), were moist,saucy and sticky which is how I love it. Turkey was a touch dry but it wasn't terrible, the pork was super moist and tender, the juices from it filled the plate, kinda soaked the bottom layer of fries but not terribly. The Mac and cheese though , everyone at the table loved that. I'm not a pasta person but I'll agree it was damn good. Cornbread though. I'd take a pass on it. Dry to the point it was crumbly, but a butter on the plate would have been a good addition for it. Service the entire meal though was fantastic, always there and very pleasant. I know that we will be back again sometime soon, it's a safe bet for pretty decent bbq. read more

Several folks recommended this place but coming from SC, they are a long way from GOOD BBQ. I was helped by a waitress that was all business, no interaction. She was straight and to the point which was not a problem but not a thing to sell the product. The inside was cool, they did celebrate the military and I was honored that they gave a military discount, always a great thing in my book. Thank you for honoring our service. The food was good, but not great. I got the pick 3 for $33 and it was ok. I chose the St. Louis ribs, turkey and pulled pork with Beans and Sweet Potato fries. First off, the cornbread was way too dry and wasn't baked in a cast iron pan. It was more like cake than cornbread. The ribs were very good, nice bark and smoked flavor. The turkey was not tasty nor was it smoked. It tasted like it came out of the oven with no flavor. No smoke ring and dry, oh so dry. The pulled pork was more like chopped pork, it was mushy and some parts were not flavorful. I was upset that the Brunswick stew was an up charge as well as the red beans and rice. I was hoping to taste something from my roots but not for an up charge. Over all it was good, but not great. There was a good portion considering but from the waitress and the other issues it may be a a challenge to return for another plate. Good luck going forward. read more

This place has delicious food with a large selection for those who don't even eat red meat, a large bar, plenty of seating, friendly staff and free street parking. We had a lot of bad food in Niagara Falls and were really happy to find this place with such great food. We were seated right away and food came out fast. Portions were huge for the prices. My husband and I planned a date night to enjoy a nice all American end of summer bbq dinner at one of my oldie but goodies favorite bbq restaurants! Having gone to college down the road at NU I frequently visited brickyard for their amazing bbq food! My husband who had never been to brickyard before thoroughly enjoyed himself! Unfortunately having gone into Lewiston on the weekend of the jazz festival accidentally we only had to wait 15 minutes for a table, and outside on the patio even! It was bustling that weekend with so many people I wasn't sure we would get in, but due to the amazing establishment and workers of brickyard, we were able to eat there shortly after arriving to the hostess stand! The food is absolutely amazing, with their own house made bbq sauce, you can't go wrong with anything on the menu! We both opted for the brisket, with myself getting the sandwich and my husband getting the entree, we thought it was so tender and just melted in our mouths! It was cooked perfectly too! The corn bread and sides could have been the main character because they were that good but in this case you just couldn't beat the brisket! It was a perfect date night and even better since we could enjoy local jazz music while we dined! Oh, and I can't forget the drinks which were made locally in their brewery on site right next to the restaurant itself! The meat seemed like it was cooked at an earlier time and then reheated [microwaved?]. However it was heated it toughened the meat instead of being tender and falling off the bones. - The Onion Rings were served in a giant clump. Came here for the first time last weekend and I'm glad to say it didn't disappoint! I don't really frequent this area much but I have heard good things about Brickyard. I ordered the Southwest Chicken wrap. It was pretty good but the chicken was a little dry. It comes with ranch but so opted for honey mustard and it was pretty good! I added onion rings for an additional charge and they were hot and crispy. The service was also very good. I think our waitress was training but she was attentive to our table. First haha I wasn't in the mood for bbq. We were headed to art park for a concert and were running out of time so we ended up here. We were going to have to wait for a table but two people got up at the bar before our table was ready so we sat there. The bartender was a little weird at first. We wanted to get food and fast cause we wanted to be on our way but he withheld the food menu until we ordered a drink. Didn't initially make me excited to sit there. And I honestly didn't want a drink so weird move. I get it's the bar but other people were eating at it. We've been going to the Brickyard long before there was a BBC. In fact, next door was a cute little pizzeria with a large fish tank. The building then, stood empty, and was remodeled into the BBC, but shortly after that, there was a fire and the BBC was completely redone. The bar in the Brickyard is now redesigned with an additional rooftop that overlooks Center Street, and the patio is directly under the rooftop area. The Brickyard, of the past, had the feel of an old English pub with dark wood bar & wood floors & brass accessories. The walls were decorated with an old fashioned mirror of Yuenling beer puppies drinking beer (that I loved!) & other signs that represented some large popular beer companies. They enlarged the bar area & flip-flopped where the bar was originally. The good thing to know is that under the bar ledge, in the seating area, are hooks for purses. The other side of the bar is divided by a wall; this area is pretty much the same, but more tables are there creating tighter spaces, and I believe a service area with heater was added in the corner. We look forward to going out to eat on Friday and Saturday night. We like to wear dressy casual clothes, not jeans & sweatshirts & baseball caps on our heads. We were told of a 30 minute wait at 6 pm for a table. That was fine with us. Rather than seat us in the quieter room, we traveled to other end of bar. We were seated at a high top table, opposite the garage door that was open to the patio. We were freezing! The talk & music in the bar was so loud, we couldn't hear each other speak. I hated the seating & should have mentioned something to the hostess. After waiting approximately 45 minutes, I was hungry, and didn't want to wait any longer. They specialize in varieties of beers, and are big into craft brews. We are not beer drinkers and their wine list has gotten slimmer and slimmer. At $9 for a 4 oz.glass of wine, made by a place in the Finger lakes that you've never heard of, I think, is a bit steep. The food offerings are also more limited than in the past. The wait staff was very efficient and pleasant. Our appetizers of fried motzarella and deep fried pickles were delicious with their dipping sauce. My husband really enjoyed his barbecue ribs. I had a large salad with chicken & caramelized pecans that came with a delicious dressing, and 1 small piece of cornbread which was also good. Many yrs ago you could get 3 pcs of cornbread. Sadly, I no longer enjoy eating at the Brickyard due to the noise level and shortened menu selection. We were seated at the bar, until our table opened up & I must say the people seated around us were very congenial. I enjoy hearing my dinner companion speak without shouting, and also not freezing due to open patio/garage type door. read more

Ok, I'm from South Carolina where BBQ was invented... additionally I was born in Georgia where Brunswick stew originated. So by all expectations, I should be claiming the best of each in one resides in one of my home states. In consideration of the above, when I claim that the BBQ here is impeccable, and especially when I assert that the Brunswick Stew here is the best I have ever tasted... please believe me. Great food! My wife had the wings and they were as good as any I have ever tried. I had the pulled pork platter with Brunswick Stew and slaw. Just heavenly. The beers were also great. There was a huge selection of brews from next door... we tried the Saison and the Scotch Ale. Both were exceptional... We are traveling in an RV. When we find a brewer who has outstanding beer, we put a sticker on the RV. We have a sticker for Brickyard. Definitely worth trying. read more

Be careful when ordering, you may get something different from what you expect! I ordered a pork melt on a baguette. My sandwich (cold) came on a soft hoagie roll. The pork was shredded. By definition a baguette is crusty. My partner ordered a turkey club, it was nothing more than a turkey sandwich. $4 for sides is pricey given the size of the sides. We were told that these are "their versions of baguettes & clubs". I say the menu is deceiving. The beer was great, the service OK and the ambiance is typical pub. read more

Stopped in before an Artpark show- we sat at front window table which was bar service only- so we ordered food and drinks at bar. (self) service was fine. It wasnt crowded but fair size number of people at bar -which is indoors but also goes outdoors under a deck. Only had one bartender but she managed our food and drinks. Ordered burger and a Nashville Hot chicken. Sandwiches came with chips, not fries. Nashville Chicken I had was good, not real hot, but healthy does of lettuce, tomatoe, onion and sauce and nicely grilled fresh bun. Berr selection was extensive and mine was cold. Busy as ever, this place always seemed packed to the brim with patrons at the bar and in the dining area. We managed to get one of the last open tables in the dining area. This is a very reliable restaurant and I don't believe we've ever had a bad meal here; while the BBQ is not the end all, awards winning you might find at a venue solely dedicated to the craft, it is really tasty BBQ for a restaurant that has a roaring bar trade as well. Both of our meals were enjoyable, I opted for the brisket combo and my spouse for the Turkey BLT. Everything was served hot, and we did our best to eat the generous portions. My only demerit is how loud the dining area gets with the bar being over packed; I'm all for a full bar but when the college aged kids are 4-5 deep in places, the families and dining patrons have to yell to speak while trying to eat a meal. I certainly know to expect this so I don't plan to catch up with friends here or share long stories, but don't dine here if you have a headache. read more

Following the O.A.R. and Dispatch concert at Artpark, my boyfriend and I needed to grab some dinner and were seated right away at Brickyard. I have never been to Brickyard when they had their late night menu out, but at 10:30pm on a Tuesday, that's what we were given. For a late night menu, it was a little disappointing. I ordered the pulled pork sandwich, minus the roll. It came with chips and a pickle. I could have upgraded for $6 and had 2 pieces of cornbread and 2 additional sides. It was 10:30 at night, so that was out of the question. My boyfriend ordered the brick sandwich, not knowing what that was. It ended up being a piece of meatloaf, with fried onions on top of an open-faced sandwich. The food was ok, nothing that would make me drive out of my way for it. The service was great. We did come across a woo girl in the wild. She could shriek very loudly and did so with a couple other of her girlfriends several times invading the dining space from the bar. It jarred the dining room and was completely unnecessary. She also found another friend in the dining room, shrieked across the room and flew to him, as well as helped herself to ice at the drink station.
