Wingnutz is one of my favorite spots to get wings nowadays. They're definitely in the top tier when you're discussing the best places for wings in Buffalo. Somedays when you need lunch and you don't have any groceries, you order wings. That's what I did anyways. We ended up getting some signature and some Buffalo medium wings with a side of fries. This is usually the go-to order whenever we get takeout from there and it never fails. It's always hot and ready when we arrive and when we get home. Excellent service and great vibes. The signature might be one of the best flavors for wings ever. They also have boats of blue cheese which are the BEST shape for dunking wings. The only chicken place around that offers a flight where you can try all their flavors! The wings were cooked to perfection and smothered in sauces. As for the flavors themselves: all of their levels of buffalo are really about the same (just a kick and not spicy per se), the honey and garlic ones are great for those that don't like any kick, and their best flavor is really their WN signature. The poutine is also a great shareable, but what shocked me the most was their buffalo chicken wing soup. The wings were great as always. We were there a 4:30. By the time we were leaving, there was a line at the entrance, possibly because it was $1.00 wing night. Danielle was as efficient as she could be, but she had problems with applying our friends' gift card on their bill and my birthday treat on ours. Both were eventually applied to our respective checks, but my birthday treat was apparently applied manually as my Toast points were not added because she must not have been successful at using my phone number. She did not tell me that this happened. I've sent the manager an email to hopefully get this resolved. Several days later. The place is large, loud, and energetic in the best sports‑bar way -- TVs everywhere, a lively crowd, and that classic Buffalo vibe. My server was quick, friendly, and on top of things despite the rush. I ordered a loganberry margarita, a beef on weck, and wings -- the full Buffalo trifecta. The wings were huge and absolutely delicious. I went with the Buffalo mild, and they were perfectly sauced with great flavor. Came here for an event with friends, which was hosted in its own room that's wedged between the restaurant and hotel. It's a decent sized room if you're having a mid-size gathering. I would say 40 or less people is good, but don't all go up for food at once or it will get congested. It can actually seat more than that so call for exact headcount it allows. I'm thinking again of congestion if people are getting in and out of their seats. We had a speaker talking about the history of sports in Buffalo. There was a podium, projector and microphone he used, I think provided by Wingnutz, but you'll have to double check to be on the safe side if that's something you would like to use. There were TVs all over the room with different sports games on and the news. There's an overhead speaker that was playing music and can be turned off while someone is speaking. And I'm sure can be tuned to the TVs. We had one waitress taking care of 12 of us and she did a phenomenal job! The food was excellent! We had pizza, beef on weck sliders, chicken sliders, and about 6 flavors of chicken wings! And the chicken wings were nice and crispy! My absolute favorite was the garlic parm! That's not my typical fave but it was here! Yum! They had wet napkins and a giant bucket at each table for your chicken bones too. I also enjoyed a peach hibiscus cocktail. The room had sports decor while also remaining crisp and clean and modern and leaving room for your own detail if you wanted your own celebratory theme. Everything was excellent! We were in from Ohio on business. We tried Wingnutz because it was $1 Wing Wednesday! We had no idea! The parking lot was PACKED. We walked in and there was plenty of space. We stopped at Wingnutz before heading out of town and it was the perfect start to our trip! My husband got the wing flight with fries, which was an awesome way to try a few different flavors, and I had the roasted veggie and black bean tacos with a side salad--everything was absolutely delicious. I went to Wingnutz because it's near my hotel for work tonight for work. After viewing the menu ahead of time, I was expecting to get 10 wings for $20 but when i walked in, they had a Wednesday special $1 wings!! They also have a weekday lunch special with a smash burger, fries and a drink for $13. It's all a steal. The burger was super flavorful and delicious. The wings.... Well, I tried the BBQ sauce and the house sauce and they were both good. The house sauce, in case you're wondering really is sweet and tangy with what appears to be a bit of a soy sauce type base?? I've heard nothing but great things since they were on Kenmore. I'd say at this point, most wing spots in Buffalo are very good and it's all preference. However, they do seem to be bigger wings here! It's spacious inside and connected to a hotel. They had merch you could buy at the front and an outside eating area. They had lunch specials so we got one and ate inside. We waited longer than what I feel is reasonable during the day and I was surprised considering there were few people inside. Besides the food taking too long, I got 5 wings, fries and drink lunch special and it was filling and a great deal. Food was fresh and tasty. I love the garlic parm. My boyfriend and I came here three days ago. We were really hungry. I had a spicy margarita that was good. We ordered jumbo mozzarella sticks as an appetizer. They were disappointing. Three out of the mozzarella sticks didn't have any cheese on them. The server apologized but they weren't taken off of our bill. We split an order of 20 wings. We came here for Elite night, the atmosphere was great and I got the chance to meet a lot of people, we dined on sliders, pizza, and some great chicken wings. I find it quite astonishing that I was contacted to provide a rating, considering the experience I had. I placed a room service order by scanning the code in my hotel room around 4 a.m., unaware that the restaurant was closed at that time. The transaction was processed and the payment was taken, yet there was no communication regarding the status of my order--no notification that the restaurant was closed, and no estimated time of delivery. I was left confused, inconvenienced, and unsure of what was happening. Charging a guest for a service that isn't available, without any explanation, is deeply unprofessional and frankly unacceptable. I'm not sure what adjustments were made on their end, but the payment transaction no longer appears on my statement, which indicates the funds were never successfully withdrawn. However, what's truly disappointing is the lack of communication--no one has reached out with so much as a courtesy apology or explanation. For an establishment that presents itself with a certain standard, the silence is both unprofessional and telling. That said... A long time ago, when Wingnutz was in the Knights of Columbus, I was the Dutchess of Wingnutz on Yelp. We would go often. It was magical. I habe since relinquished my title. It took me a while to try out their location in Cheektowaga, next to the airport. Although, Wingnutz will never be able to capture the magic that was, with Ed and Alicia and the vibes at the Knights of Columbus, but it was great to relive the nostalgia at their new location. We got 30 wings in various sauces, but I only touched the gluten free Wingnutz special sauce, because why bother with the others? We also got 2 beers, and an order of fries and it was $84 and some change. The service was good, the food was a little slow in coming out. We arrived at 8:05pm and didn't get our order until 9pm. They close at 9pm, which is a little weird for a location that is near the airport and near a bunch of hotels. It should be open until 10pm. The wings were cooked well, the fries were good. Will I be back soon? Sure. Every once in a while. This would be a treat. The prices are a little high, but it is the same Wingnutz taste that was missing at the other locations between Knights of Columbus and their first real location following on Millersport Highway. Large, Crispy, and saucy breaded wings, have had a couple different sauces, all are great! Steak sandwich was great! Some of the best Truffle fries! Then the reason I was inspired to write a review. I stopped in a couple of weeks ago for lunch, it was $1 wing day, and the wings were fantastic, great flavor big wings and cooked perfectly. last night, my wife and stopped in, because it was wing day again, and I wanted her to try the wings. It was disappointing, the waitress was very nice and said it is not as busy than usual, so we expected fast service. The wings came out 20 minutes from time of order, and were getting cold, you could tell someone forgot to bring them out. The wings were way smaller than I had two weeks earlier, and they were over cooked. I do have friends in the business, and I know how hard it is to control people and processes, but my wife told me she would never go back, so for Wingnutz, it's an unhappy customer that may never return. If there is one thing that kills a restaurant, it's consistency.
