What a fine dining experience indeed! As a local Round Rock-ian, we support the local McNeil Mavericks football team and purchase coupon booklets once a year. It was in that booklet that we discovered this new restaurant to try. With a "get one free appetizer, with the purchase of an entree", my mother and I scuttled in this past Sunday evening, starving after working out in the yards alllll day. The weather was nice and temperate so we asked to sit outside, near a couple of other occupied tables. The restaurant - Italiano 'rustico' in appearance - was otherwise rather empty, for now. We were greeted by a young waiter, Brandon, who mentioned he had only begun working there recently, but was enamored by the service Tony C's sought to maintain and the grade of savory dishes that were created. He seemed to know what he was talking about and was very pleasant, so I asked what he'd recommend as a starter and gave us his three favorites. We went with Eggplant Rollatini. Four properly portioned rolls of thinly sliced roasted eggplant rolls stuffed with - oh dear lord - a whipped, sweet, marscapone-like blend of ricotta and mozzarella cheeses, then handsomely dressed in homemade marinara sauce - full of flavor and chunky with real bits of tomatoes. We devoured them....slowly, but surely, savoring each bite. If they flavor of the meal was anything like the appetizer we were initially lured in with, we were in for a real treat. As I was not as hungry for a pizza pie as I wished I was (that's another visit!), I asked for another appetizer for my meal - Cugino Stromboli and mom wanted a Chicken Parmesan Sub (with their complimentary garlic parm fries). The view of the hill country sunset placated our excitement for our meals and when they finally came out, they were worth the wait! Hers, an open faced sammie, on soft baguette, melty with cheese and loaded with lots of marinara! The chicken was extremely moist and met her needs nicely. As an app, mine was plated as such, but was plenty of food for one! Six finger-food portions of sliced Stromboli loaded with capicola, pepperoni, salami and provolone. That marinara I keep mentioning? It came with a dish for dipping, but I asked for more....it's that good! (As an aspiring chef, I believe a restaurant could ruin such a simple recipe like marinara or a meatball merely by not using fresh ingredients, see "canned" or "poorly seasoned". Naturally, I savored that homemade sauce. It's enough to bring me back! Brandon the waiter was attentive and polite, provided our space and was there when needed. With our free app, the meal was just shy of $10/person (I remember now, I also had iced tea...). I threw in a couple more dollars for good waiter Brandon's service. Great happy hour specials. Coupled with the 2 for 1 pizza tuesday this place is a win for value and good food. I enjoy the primo pizza. The waitstaff overall tries hard but falls short of good service with the exception of this one waiter...his name slips my mind. The garlic knots at $2 is must try. I ordered over the phone a simple caprese salad and pasta at 4:30pm on a Saturday night. I asked to pick it up at 5:45pm. I got there around 5:20pm, went in and paid. I told them it was no problem that it wasn't ready as I knew I was early. After sitting outside in my car until 5:50pm, I asked the guy that was bringing out food to everyone else around me to check on my order. I was assured it would be right out. Finally at 6:15pm I went in and asked for my money back. They told me they just deleted the charge, but couldn't show me any paperwork showing they deleted the charge. Finally a young woman came up with my food (after I stood there another 10 minutes asking to see a refund) and apologized. The manager, Edgar, was in the back somewhere and never bothered to even come out and apologize. I saw 3 guys in the back cooking, so I have no idea what the problem was. The lady said they didn't expect to be busy. It was a Saturday night! The salad was a joke, the pasta was cold. So much for trying to support local business. read more

We have been eating here occasionally since it opened. We like the pizza for take out and recently we have dined in there a few times (after not eating there for over a year - no fault of theirs). The service has always been good to great and I haven't had a dish I haven't liked/enjoyed. Really recommend the Antipasto appetizer. read more

Really enjoyed the bacon-wrapped figs and a pizza for lunch with my wife here the day before Thanksgiving. We have been looking and looking for a good pizza place since moving from the Dallas area and at least for the time being this will be our go-to pizza place! What is best is that the staff get to know their customers on a personal level and cater their services of food and wine to the interests of their clientele. Anthony, the General Manager, exemplifies the value in seeking out what his customers like and executes food, environment, and special events at Tony C's with that in mind. Anthony really cares about what his customers think and does it with a sincere smile on his face. Tony C's, it's staff, and management do a superb job providing excellent customer service that you cannot find in many places. Had two pies from Tony C's again last night, and i still stand behind my initial review. Both pizzas were good, but they really used (in my opinion) too much cheese. It's *good* cheese, mind you, but there's just too much of it. I'd say that there was the right amount of the other ingredients, but just too much cheese. I'd also like to see the pizzas baked longer by default, but that's probably something that I could request. I really like the crust to be more charred and crisp; not quite so doughy. Will try to request that next time, along with maybe asking for not so much cheese. read more

Save your money and have a decent brunch somewhere else. Unless you enjoy a glorified CiCi's Pizza all you can eat pizza buffet, than waste your 20 bucks. We went there for Mother's Day, and discovered how disappointing this place is. Even though it was about 1 1/2 hours til the buffet ended, scraps of roast beef was being served til they eventually ran out. The pasta was crusted to the side of the serving pan, even though the warmers had no flame. The manager offered us some sliced beef from back of the kitchen, which was very dried and tasted like leftovers. The staff didn't have any empathy for the poor quality food and service lacked. Do your self a favor and skip this joint. read more

This is not our first time here, we love the Pizzas and the atmosphere , but on Tuesday they have a special on the pizza wich is great, buy 1 get 1 free, the only problem is that this is the 2nd time we almost wait an hour for a pizza while dining in, because the promotion is also to-go, and I don't think it's fair to wait while others just pick their pizzas up, so my suggestion is that they make that promotion only dine in. But once again the pizza here is great, I hope that next time has less wait time... read more

We frequent Tony C's a lot for take out. We typically get one of their specialty pizzas and are satisfied. Yesterday we ordered a pizza with extra Italian sausage and carmelized onions. We were quite disappointed as there was a below average amount of sausage (despite paying for extra) and literally the smallest amount of carmelized onions you could imagine. 600 degrees and Slapbox will be our new go to, they have yet to disappoint! read more

I used to go to the Galeria and loved the food! This is my second time at the Avery Ranch location and it is the second time that i tasted a dish that was baked in their cast iron to taste just like brill o pad! First time I thought it was just being unlucky but now it is the second time is not a just a coincidence! Had the most amazing dinner here with my husband! The food was absolutely delicious, we ordered the meat pizza with the shrimp pasta. Both dishes were fantastic! Tasted very authentic as well. The Chianti wine was terrific!!! Not only is the food wonderful, our waitress Micah was such a sweetheart!! She was so positive and knew her foods and wine well. Josh, the manager (I believe) came around and we got to talk with him about the foods and restaurant. Recently moved to the area and found this great Italian restaurant. We went last night for happy hour and then dinner. There were 6 adults and 3 toddlers. The kids were entertained by the open flames in the pizza oven. We will definitely be back. The food was delicious. Service prompt and friendly. read more

My family and I visit Tony C's often. Kristin is a great waitress and the food is always great. My 3 year old loves the pasta and everyone is very nice and patient with her. My husband loves the pizza and I have tried multiple things and haven't found anything I didn't love. We went for my birthday with a group of 8 and had a great time, great service and really good food. Love the stromboli and the bruschettas. Tuesday night BOGO pizza is fantastic. The food is phenomenal! We usually order their pizza and lasagna to go but today we decided to take the risk with an 11 month old and dine in and the service was superb. Our waitress was very helpful with selecting options from the menu and customizing to our liking. The manager was very involved and did the kindest thing and offered to have our baby's food container washed. Now for a Mom like me that is something worth gold. Stopped in with parents the other night. We all had something different but all 4 meals were great. We hadn't order the garlic knots but we saw a couple tables that did and we had to get some. Very good. Lasagna was great. Only down side was the floor was dirty and the original table they were going to sit us at was dirty. Couple staffers standing at times...time to lean time to clean. Surprisingly wonderful neighborhood spot! We're kicking ourselves for not trying this place sooner. The strip mall facade disappears once you walk through the door. Lovely atmosphere--casual enough for families, but classy enough to bring your date or girlfriends. Had the antipasti, arugula/beet salad, vegetarian pizza, tiramisu, and a nice Italian red. All were wonderful, especially the pizza and house-made tiramisu! They do 1/2-price bottles of wine on Wednesday and buy-one-get-one pizzas on Tuesdays. Nice deals! Excellent service also. Update: This is still one of the best places around. Pizza is great, but the lasagna is to die for. Tahar waited on us tonight and he is great, one of the nicest servers we've had anywhere is recent months. This is a great spot, excellent customer service, great food and wonderful ambience. I get carry-out pizza here, and the taste/quality is great. Service has been very good. They messed my order once, but corrected it promptly and very courteously. Variety of specialty pizzas could be improved, but can make your own, so not a big deal. Prices are a bit on the high side. read more

I remember a couple years ago when I really loved this place. I guess things have changed since then. I don't care for the atmosphere - very crowded, busy, & loud, and the service was awful. The crew was mopping the floor and putting chairs on the tables while we were eating and it was still during business hours. I have a few very inconvenient food allergies, and they have many options for people who are gluten free and dairy free, including quality gluten free pasta.
