What an adorable little spot in Utica! This was my first visit for a morning meeting. It was a cool morning so my colleague and I opted to sit out on the bistro-styled patio to sip coffee and have a light breakfast at 7:00am. It obviously wasn't busy when we arrived, which was lovely, but by 8:00 it started filling up with others looking to catch a morning meeting. The food was good, the service was unfriendly. From the moment we walked in we were not made to feel welcome. We had reservations and were on time. Our table was not ready and the hostess seemed put out. Our waiter was also unfriendly. No one seemed glad to have our business. Other places we have been since the reopening after Covid have seemed so pleased to have customers back. Not so at the Wild Fork. Too bad. It will be a long time before we try them again. If you go at lunch, the chicken fried steak is pretty good, but who wants to carbo-load in the middle of the day? Only if you are allowed to nap at work. They don't serve this dish for dinner, oddly enough. I haven't had anything else here that was even remotely worthy of a return trip except the breakfast pizza. The ambiance is pretty good, the art is kind of tacky but they have tons of really awesome and distinct light fixtures. If the weather is nice you can sit outside and feel really high-class. Wild Fork used to be my favorite place to eat in Tulsa. My most recent experience has convinced me to go elsewhere. Recently the summer weather broke (that is, under 90 degrees) and we went for an evening meal on the patio. I ordered one of the specials, a barramundi on a bed of spinach. I ordered it without bacon. I do want to say that our server was cordial and timely. However.... The plate was set down in front of me and there was bacon on the fish and in the spinach. I let the server know and she took the dish back to the kitchen. It came back out a few minutes later - too soon to have prepared a new plate. My conclusion - they took the fish scraped off the bacon, threw some new spinach on the plate, put the de-baconed fish back on the plate and smothered it in bleu cheese crumbles. The problems with this? 1) I do not eat bacon and a new piece of fish should have been cooked, 2) the bleu cheese completely overshadowed the fish. In other words, you could not taste the fish at all. All in all, Wild Fork provided a meal that was sub par from a kitchen that apparently is more interested in quick turn than proper preparation. So we go to wild fork for some breakfast as it is usually good. However, the service has always be sub par at best. Well, today it was absolutely horrible. It was around 9am and it was not very crowded at all. We were seated...waited...then waited...then waited someone...about 10-15 minutes before someone even came by to give us menus. So, we get the menus...then we waited...waited some more...then waited some more until after another 15 minutes of no server we finally got up and sought out a manager. Very politely we said that we were leaving because waiting 30 minutes for an order to be taken in a half empty restaurant is unacceptable. The sad thing is the manager didn't really seem to care and basically just said goodbye. Rose is awesome! Best bartender. D server in Oklahoma! We were in town for my cousins wedding with nothing to do one afternoon. So we went to Utica Square and found this place to grab a couple drinks. Rose whipped up some amazing Manhattans and Mules. We would have tried the amazing looking food but he had just ate and were just drinking and watching some futbol. Great place to do all 3 of those things! What a difference a meal makes!! Good for breakfast, terrible for lunch. My wife and I had breakfast for the first time here this week and the food was good and the service was excellent. Attentive and timely. Went back for lunch with our adult son and it was completely the opposite. Our server was slow, he forgot our drinks, it took over thirty minutes to get our food (a sandwich and two salads) he messed up one of the salad orders and instead of offering to fix it, just said he was sorry that he put it in wrong, then walked away. We had to have one of the other servers find him to get the check. The food at lunch was just OK and it may have just been our bad luck to get this server, but I might go back for breakfast, but certainly not for lunch. read more

It was a beautiful morning to sit outside and the only table available was in the blinding sun. Without prompting, the hostess said she would seat us after they moved the table to a shadier spot. It was refreshing being greeted with that kind of thoughtful service. My boyfriend and I were there for brunch and decided to order the breakfast burger and steak on a shingle. The burger was a beef/sausage mix with bacon, egg and grilled cheddar. It had a nice flavor, but was a bit dry. The s.o.s. was outstanding!! The beef was tender and the sauce was perfectly spiced. I have been to this restaurant many times. It used to be more hits than misses. But not as of late. My last stop, I went to the bar area to sit and have a drink and wait for the person I was meeting. The guy next to me drinking was a cook or something...he got up and went back to work when I sat down. The bartender handed me a menu and then went about his business. I had to stop him and ask him if I could get a Guinness. (out of a bottle btw). And then he never came back to take a food order or ask if I would like another drink. In fact I had to even ask for my check. Go to Bodeans or the Palace Café. They are so much better choices than this one. But then again, you better go soon...the way they are running things now they will not be in business much longer. Updated below... The owner wanted me to retry the restaurant. She offered to mail me a giftcard. This was about a month ago and no giftcard was sent. Nor was there an answer to any of my subsequent messages. ERMEGHERD, WILD FORK. YOU'RE KILLING ME. My experience at The Wild Fork was a prime example of where the service irritated me enough to warrant a lowered rating. I was meeting some friends here with my husband. My husband and I were seated and we waited over 10 minutes before anyone came to our table to ask if we wanted coffee. C'mon. This should happen immediately. Strike one. Once our friends met us (and we had our coffee) we perused the menu. I decided on the hash (eggs, cheese, onions, bacon, sausage, ham) with no ham. Just bacon and sausage. I ordered it with a side of biscuits and gravy. We placed our orders and waited over 30 minutes for the food to get to our table. It wasn't crowded. Strike two. Naturally, my hash came loaded with ham and with no biscuits and gravy. I gave up on my ham protest and wildly tried to flag our waitress down for my biscuits. Strike three. The food was good (how can a pile of cheese and eggs and meats not be good?), but I was really kind of annoyed by the end of this meal. Biscuits and gravy were to die for, though. Here in Tulsa for a horse show, and this is my third visit to this restaurant. Food is very good. I come for breakfast and recommend the Hash, and the breakfast tacos. They need to up their service game. The servers wander around in no particular hurry to tend to the guests. Long waits to get a menu, then to order, then to receive food. The woman serving coffee and water always seems annoyed. Why? What an attitude. Asked for the check when we got our food...and finally put cash down because the server was in no particular hurry to collect the bill. Too bad, because the food is quite good here. And btw, the restaurant was not crowded at all on two of my visits, so I can't put the sketchy service off on that. read more

I have eaten at The Wild Fork many times, although I hadn't been there since pre-pandemic. I always loved going there. The food was always great and the ambiance beautiful. I stopped in for lunch this week and noticed the menu was different. In the past, my favorite lunch was their fried catfish sandwich, served with fries and jalapeño cole slaw. This is no longer on the menu, however, they do have fried catfish with the fries and slaw -- just not a sandwich. I ordered that. My friend ordered a salad with salmon. It took longer to get our food than I remember in the past. The place was busy but not packed, as we were seated immediately. When the food came out, my catfish was lukewarm and was served by laying it on top of tarter sauce on the plate, which seemed odd to me. The fries were overcooked (dark brown), and yet were absolutely cold. The slaw tasted the same as I remembered before. My friend was expecting a salad with a piece of salmon on top. Instead, the salmon was chopped in pieces and sprinkled on top. The presentation of both meals was definitely lacking. I am guessing my meal sat in the kitchen awhile before being served since everything was cold. We were both disappointed and both of us definitely noticed the decline in the quality of the food since our last visit. We sat at a table next to the window and I counted 4 flies that were buzzing around as we ate. Our waitress did not ask how our food was and only stopped by our table to fill our water glasses. I ate the catfish, but left the fries and cole slaw. When the waitress brought our tickets, she put them on our table and left without a word. I'm sure she could see by how much food was uneaten that we didn't enjoy it, but she didn't say anything. What an overall unpleasant experience. I sadly won't be returning. read more

I have been wanting to have breakfast here for years, but was afraid of the reviews of service. I am so glad I went!!! On entering, you seat yourself. I as surprised that at 0750, it was half full. I was greeted in a few minutes and had my coffee in a few minutes. I wasn't able to find a menu online, so I looked the menu over, front and back. I can see, it will take several trips to try everything that looked good. I got my food very quickly. The scrambled eggs were perfectly cooked and the best I have ever had. I had been anxious to try their toast, the peasant sour dough toast was delicious! There is a choice of orange marmalade, plum jelly and another I can't remember. There is a choice of cheesy grits, home fries or sliced tomatoes. I really appreciated that choice, I thought I was going to have to eat grits (the menu said cheesy grits). The applewood bacon was perfectly cooked, but a little greasy, I would have liked a paper towel. They let you choose how crisp you bacon is done. They even gave me a coffee to go. Service was friendly and pretty fast. When I left, it was full, most people were older, quite a few in business meetings. One group was a come and go group of ladies at a reunion. The art work on the walls is for sale. This is now my favorite place in Utica Square, good breakfast value!!!! read more

I am a New American Food Junkie. When I first moved back to Tulsa I remember sharing this meal with my wife and in-laws. I literally said at the meal that this was one of the best meals I had experienced in Tulsa. A little background to Wild Fork. Wild Fork is snuggled up in the midst of busy Utica Square, across from The Gap. You walk in and the environment is neat. It is actually the style my wife and I have in our home, so I am biased. The servers wear white button downs with ties of their choice. Fresh bread and butter is served upon being seated. Nice water glasses on the white table cloth make you think of a fine meal or perhaps even an award ceremony. The menu has been the same for a while as far as I can tell but they do have "specials". Being in the heart of Utica Square makes for a pretty regular devoted crowd. As of yesterday I am not as wild about the Wild Fork as I once was but I feel they can up their game and be the "it" place in no time. It just lacked a little pizazz that is the only way to put it. My husband and I have dined here several times with family and friends. The dining room is just beautiful with an upscale feel, white linens and wait staff dressed in black and white. I love that you can sit outside if the weather is good, people watch and enjoy the outdoor shopping center. This is a nice little quaint and cozy spot in Utica Square near St. John's Hospital. I came here for breakfast and it was quite a pleasant experience. I ordered the two eggs any style (I got egg whites) and added bacon. It also came with cheese grits, which good and had flavor but it diluted in cheese where it tasted unhealthy, and I added wheat toast which was lightly buttered and some whole grains in it. The bacon really tasted apple smoked and there were 4 pieces, but the were stingy on the two eggs as it seemed like I ate all my eggs in 3 bites (reason for a star missing). The coffee was good and the service was very good as well. All in all this a nice breakfast place in Tulsa and probably a very enjoyable place to be when the weather is nice as they have a patio outside. read more

If you're looking for a speedy service "in and out" type of place, this isn't it. From the hostess, to the servers, to the bartenders...everything there seemed to run fairly slow paced, which is what I was looking for on a beautiful sunny afternoon. The restaurant itself is small but quaint. They've got local art gracing the table walls on the inside, and a wonderful patio area outside perfect for Utica Square people watching. They serve two different types of bread before my meal (a sourdough type and small rolls which were amazing) I ordered the fettuccini with capers and arugula, and added grilled chicken. This place is not what is used to be. The interior is showing wear and tear and both the food and service has deteriorated in recent years. Also, the menu seems to lack cohesion. I went for Sunday brunch. Because of my small party was seated right away. Larger parties were having a considerable wait. We ordered the roasted chicken salad and blt. The roasted chicken salad was ordered sans blu cheese, but the blue cheese came out on the plate anyway. We asked for it to be returned and a short wait later a new plate came out. My blt was not very good. For dessert we had the creme brûlée. The caramelized top was not very crisp and the brûlée was more of a pudding. However, the fresh whipped cream with the brûlée was delicious. While eating wait staff yelled over our table to other staff we just generally felt in the way. I have loved this place for years, but think it's time to find a new area brunch spot. read more

I just love Utica Square and try to visit at least once every time I visit Tulsa. I brought my mom here for lunch the day before Thanksgiving and we had a nice lunch. Our waiter was very nice and even switched out my mom's lemonade for an iced sweet tea when she remarked about the excessive tartness of the fresh lemons (I found the lemonade to be perfect). I had the chicken fried chicken which was a bit tough but the gravy and mashed potatoes were perfect! The Mac and Cheese appetizer had a good flavor but the portion size was surprisingly small for $4. My mom got the Italian sandwich with au jus. She found her bread a bit burnt and the onions were far too undercooked. For 2 people our bill came to $44 which is a bit much to walk away somewhat dissatisfied. While the overall experience was good I'll probably visit Stonehorse or P.F. Chang's on a next visit to the area. read more

Came here for lunch on a Friday and the weather was perfect. There was a wait for outside seating but was able to do some shopping while we waited. There honestly isn't much to say. We sat outside on a pleasant patio surrounded by gorgeous trees. Our group had avocado toast ( very good), shrimp and grits (good but not great), and a breakfast burrito - huge and filling.
