Beautiful space-old school elegance We were a group of eight so never easy on wait staff but they were trying. Great they split shared dishes for us - civilized! Good was well executed and beautifully presented. Highlights was Parker house rolls, lobster bisque, tater tots with caviar. Favorite was grilled seafood salad with a bright citrus dressing Steaks and sides were good but not fantastic. Chimichuri sauce for steak was the best we've ever had! Jalapeño cheddar grits looked like green goop and waffle fries were not hot or crunchy. Still a nice spot in Harbor east and love the 9oz wine pour!

I know some people have it out against the company that owns these chains of restaurants (ATLAS Group), but dammit the food was amazing. The service was amazing. The ambience was amazing. I have to hand it to him. They really did it up for my parents anniversary and I probably most likely will be back.

The Ruxton is hands down one of my favorite restaurants in Baltimore. This is one of those rare places where everything on the menu hits--whether it's brunch, lunch, happy hour, or dinner. The space itself is a vibe--Art Deco-inspired design that feels upscale but still fun. It's usually busy (even the bar), so I highly recommend making a reservation. Some of my favorites: the chicken fried lobster tail (not listed as an appetizer, butyou can request it), lamb chops with mint jelly (OMG), oysters Rockefeller (so good it'll make you slap your momma), Wagyu sliders, lemon butter prawns, the steakhouse burger on the happy hour menu, and the branzino. And the true highlight?? The warm butter cake with ice cream. I've literally come here just for that--it tastes like something straight out of my grandma's kitchen. Highly recommend. This place does not miss.

Our waitress was so kind and helpful, so attentive and caring! I wish I could remember her name. She helped us figure out what to order and gave her suggestions. The food was amazing!

Hubby and I came here for the first time for dinner on a Friday night. We made a reservation online. We ordered their wedge salad, chilled shellfish salad, dry-aged cowboy steak with their grilled asparagus and bacon mac n cheese. Total came to approximately a little over $200 (including tip). What's hot - Menu. Very good. There appears to something for everyone, even vegans. There's meat, seafood, and vegetables. For example, they have a cauliflower steak as an option. They also appear to be able to cater their dishes to your preference. - Quality. Excellent. Their asparagus were rather large for our taste, but their kitchen does a good job of shaving off a little from the bottom of the stalks. As such, their asparagus were served pretty tender. We ordered our steak medium and it was cooked to our liking. My chilled seafood salad comes with a delicious citrus vinaigrette. Not too sweet and slightly savory. My favorite dishes are my salad and the mac n cheese. - Portions. Excellent. Their cowboy steak comes with the bone and is sliced for you, which allows you to share. The mac n cheese is incredibly rich. That was probably the most filling dish. Unless you have a large party, I would not recommend a flight of 3 mac n cheeses, because it's so rich. - Layout. Rather small layout. We were seated at a table for two, but next time, I would like to take advantage of their booths, which is in the shape of a half circle, which can seat up to 4. - Service. Excellent. Their hostess was able to pull up our reservation immediately and seat us. They definitely pay attention to detail. The staffer gave us details for off menu items (i.e., their specials). We had questions about specific menu items and she was able to provide us helpful details about ingredients, texture, flavor, etc.... For example, when describing their chocolate brownie for dessert, she explained how it was fudgy, which is something I love about chocolate desserts. My husband and I love their rolls with wagyu butter. I specifically asked about the ingredients of the wagyu butter. When we paid our bill, our staffer gave us some rolls and wagyu butter in a takeaway container. Appreciate her attention to detail. - Price. You certainly pay the quality, portions, and service. My husband and I agree that we may only return for special occasions. We are interested in returning to their bar to check out their happy hour specials. What's not - Acoustics. The night we were there, there was rather loud music playing from their bar, which detracted from the ambiance. Their main dining room has rather low lighting, which tends to suggest a more calm and quiet atmosphere. The loud music detracted from the ambiance. It also made it more difficult for my husband and I to carry a conversation. - Quality. While the cowboy steak was delicious, it was not as well-seasoned as we would like. Perhaps this is where ordering their sauces and/or accoutrements might be helpful. My husband and I like our steaks to have a nice exterior seasoning and possible crust to add to the flavor. The cowboy steak did not come with that. - Cannot order their happy hour specials in the main dining room. To be fair, there are many restaurants that do not allow you to take advantage of their happy hour specials in the main dining room. Our reservation was for 5:30, which is before their happy hour specials end. - Parking. Depending on the day and time, it can be difficult to find. They have valet parking for $20. There is also street parking, but it appears to be metered paid parking around the restaurant. We parked our car at the Little Italy parking garage, a few blocks away from the restaurant, which is $5. Final Answer May come back, but only for special occasions.

Celebrated a special occasion here yesterday and had an absolutely lovely time. Our server was earnest; she helped us choose the best options for appetizers and dinner. I would highly recommend the lemon garlic shrimp-the scampi sauce is to die for and was delicious to dip bread in as well. The Martini/caviar tater combo was a don't miss-the martini was perfectly balanced and the potato vodka meshes perfectly with the caviar tater tots. The caeser salad was also fresh and flavorful-and large enough to share. The cowboy ribeye with bone in was a bit forgettable for me, but the butter cake was the best dessert I've had in a long time. I'll definitely return for birthdays and celebrations! I was also happy to see a diverse workforce and managerial team supporting the restaurant!

Very popular and crowded steakhouse. I was part of a large group enjoying a this traditional steakhouse. The service was very good though they forgot a few sides that we ordered My rib eye was cooked perfectly and one of the best I've had at a steakhouse. Their sides like seafood Mac and cheese to mash potatoes to asparagus were nicely prepared. I was impressed with how they handled the large crowd. Very nice energy and vibe. .

My friends and I recently visited The Ruxton, and the aesthetic is absolutely stunning! It has such a sophisticated, upscale atmosphere that's just perfect for a girls' dinner. Our waitress was so lovely and attentive, truly making the evening feel special from start to finish. The Highlights We started with their Happy Hour, which was such a treat--the Frito Mixto was a personal favorite, especially that divine dipping sauce! For the main course, the 6oz Filet Mignon and the 8oz Dry-Aged Steak were cooked to perfection. My Recommendation: Definitely pair your steak with the Chimichurri sauce! We found the house sauce didn't quite complement the meat, but the chimichurri added such a fresh, vibrant pop of flavor. Sips: If you love a classic, their Old Fashioned is wonderful--perfectly strong and elegant. The Sides & Bread The bread service was delicious on its own, but we weren't fans of the garlic butter pairing; it just wasn't the best mix for us. As for the sides: Jalapeño & Cheddar Grits: A lovely balance of heat without being too spicy, though a tiny bit heavy on the salt. Brussels Sprouts: Lovely flavor, but they sat in the glaze a bit too long, making them a little saturated and salty. Mac & Cheese: This one wasn't quite for me--it felt more like a rich Alfredo pasta, and the heavy Gouda layer was a bit overpowering. Sweet Endings To finish, we shared the Warm Butter Cake, which was absolutely delicious! The ice cream was wonderful and the strawberries were so fresh and bright. The only tiny miss was the pink powdered garnish around the plate--it didn't quite match the quality of the rest of the dessert. A Gentle Suggestion While the vibe was nearly perfect, I did notice a small moment at the bar that gave me pause. One of the bartenders coughed and continued preparing drinks without stopping to wash their hands. In such a high-end space, a little extra attention to hand-washing rituals would go a long way in making guests feel completely comfortable! Overall: A truly beautiful spot with top-tier meats and a wonderful ambiance. With just a few tweaks to the sides and bar care, it would be a 10/10 experience

This is a place I feel that the food matches the price. It is pricey but the food is very good and you will be full! I got ordered the caviar and tater tots as an appetizer, the chicken fried lobster tail , with roasted broccoli and plain Mac and cheese and an espresso martini. All 10/10. The lobster tail is a substantial size, the chicken fried flavor is unlike anything I've had before in a great way. The wait staff was great. Very attentive even on a busy day like Valentine's Day. Definitely recommend!

The Ruxton, an Atlas restaurant, is by and far the best steakhouse in Baltimore harbor east. We came here for Valentine's Day weekend and were lucky to get a reservation on Sunday at 515pm. Everything was so amazing but the service really stood out to me. The server was so great along with the waitstaff who helped us with our to go containers. Everything was seamless! I can't wait to come back! The oysters were a stand out! Try those!

Our LOVE story is my favorite love story! & The Ruxton was the perfect choice to celebrate our anniversary! *9/18* Made reservations and noted we would like a special booth with a bottle of champagne when we arrived. I was impressed with my husbands pick for the night, but when he asked me to get fancy and wear his favorite little black dress, I knew I was in for a treat! We arrived on time, valet and a parking garage were options, and were greeted with a smile. As we were escorted to our table they had decorated the booth with rose petals and a card and had a nice bottle on chill just as we requested. Our server Quan was excellent! Super friendly, welcoming and wore a smile all night! He was very knowledgeable of their menu and shared some awesome suggestions that we just couldn't pass up! To start I enjoyed the chargrilled oysters and the boo opted for the sliders. He said they were perfect served how they were and was impressed that he didn't need to add anything to them. His Caesar Salad was also delicious! Fresh, crispy with the perfect amount of dressing. Honestly we agreed it was probably the best Caesar salad we've ever had. I also ate all my oysters which my husband said they must've been good because I can never eat all of anything! Hahaaa! And before you say I'm a greedy pig for not offering my love one, he actually can't eat them. Anyhoo onto dinner, we went with the lamb chops and branzino accompanied by broccoli minus the bacon, creamed spinach, creamed corn and mashed potatoes. Now I didn't have any lamb but the hubs said it was perfect. As for everything else delicious! The mashed potatoes were not impressive and were missing something! They were tasteless...bland like boxed potatoes... yuck! Other than that- I was so full from my oysters but I did get to taste on everything else...hahaaa! Celebrating our love- what's a celebration without dessert! So I had already had plans for the butter cake and coffee *oink oink* and the hunnie opted for the lemon meringue cheesecake with espresso! Hands down 10/10!!!! Compared to our go to Joes Seafood in DC this was an amazing experience and perfect choice to celebrate us! And Quan helped make that celebration just a bit more special. I can't wait to make our way back here and to this side of town!! So many tasty options I need to check off my list! Now if you want to get dolled up and hang out with the girls, celebrating something or trying to decide on a perfect place for date night, The Ruxton is it!!!!!! Happy Yelping!!

Ruxton's lunch menu offers fantastic value--delicious food at a great price point. You really can't go wrong here. Bread Visually, the bread is a showstopper--golden and glistening with melted butter. Flavor-wise, it was milder than expected. The buttery finish made it look irresistible, but I wished for a bit more depth in taste. Clam Chowder The chowder was rich and satisfying, though a touch salty for my palate (I tend to be sensitive to salt). I'd personally prefer more clam and a little less bacon or pork--the bacon adds great flavor but also amps up the saltiness. The portion size was spot-on: generous enough to enjoy without spoiling my appetite for the main course. Steak Salad The steak was beautifully cooked and generously portioned. The salad itself had a lot going on--flavorful and fresh, though the large asparagus pieces felt a bit clunky. I ended up cutting them down for easier bites, but overall, it was a satisfying dish. Dessert: Strawberry Chiffon Cake Light, airy, and pleasantly sweet. I'm not usually a dessert person, but this one was a lovely finish to the meal. Service I visited on a Friday afternoon and the team was on point. The pacing of the meal was perfect, and everyone was warm and attentive. Special shoutout to my server, Demetrius, who was exceptional--he recommended a red wine that paired beautifully with my steak salad. It elevated the whole experience. This is a great place to have a special meal.

The Ruxton is an excellent choice to celebrate hubby's milestone birthday. Chef's kiss for the prix fixe three-course lunch, for which we both chose salads (a wedge that looked spectacular) and a Caesar, and both selected the salmon and chocolate brownie for dessert. Nicki provided outstanding, attentive service with the correct number of check-ins, ensuring a lovely dining experience. The Ruxton provides a chic, beautifully decorated, sophisticated atmosphere for a milestone celebration. The garage attached to The Ruxton offers easy, affordable parking. Unfortunately, I don't think that this was a great showcase of the restaurants abilities. For food, I had the Caesar salad to start, which I can honestly say was a decent caesar, nothing to write home about, but no complaints either - think your basic Caesar. For my main I had the crabcake entrée and to be honest it was just not good. The crabcake was beyond dry and the coleslaw and fries were fine but that that's not what I came for. I do have to say that dessert was great, the carrot cake was without any complaints. The only other thing that I had was the seasonal martini on the drink menu and it was so bad that I couldn't take more than one sip. Other people did like their food, but we all left saying that it was not a great meal. In discussing service, the service itself was good. Our waitress was attentive, but kept jumping into our conversation and wasn't dressed totally appropriately for wait staff in my opinion, she was very attentive though. Ambience is interesting here - it feels as though it has no ambience almost. It's just like a bunch of tables in an outdated restaurant with minimal decor. Overall, I will probably not be coming back to Sobo and can't say that I would recommend others do so.

I was disappointed because I was nervous to try a new dish that they had just added the same week (no time to get feedback and perfect the dish). I ended up with chicken, brussel sprouts, and potatoes from the keto menu to be safe on the flavors. That did not exactly pan out for me, as the chicken was tremendously dry and overcooked. I did not send it back because I was already starving, but I did not enjoy that particular meal. The potatoes and brussels were tasty though With that, our service was efficient and the restaurant is a nice vibe as always.

I got the brazillian picanha and though there was a miscommunication about the meat temp, it was promptly handled and I enjoyed the steak itself. The sides of mashed potatoes and asparagus however were a little weak compared to the steak itself. I can't explain it but the seasoning felt a bit off on the horseradish mashed potatoes. I tried everything but the bloody marys, and while they were good, whew there was a lot of ice in the mimosa... I'm not used to ice there, so it threw me off but it was still good! This place would be better if they told you there was a seasoning or topping on your meal. Overall I would eat here again but it is not my first pick.

I had the Southern Slammer Sandwich (with the grits) and my sister had the Fried Chicken, Biscuit and Gravy Omelet (with the hash browns). We couldn't stop saying how good they were! The service was on point, everyone was very nice, and the noise level was fine. Here is something I literally have never experienced anywhere else: My sister has a couple of food allergies and she gave the waitress a piece of paper where she listed out what she can and cannot have. A few minutes later, a lovely young woman (I think she said she was a manager) came out and discussed the list with my sister in detail, just to make sure the restaurant got it exactly right. My sister almost cried! As far as timing goes: They don't take reservations, but they have an efficient system -- when you arrive, they take down your name and phone number, tell you how long the wait will be, and then text you when it's your turn. They told us 40 minutes but it turned out to be only 20, so it's good we hadn't wandered too far away. Next time we're in Baltimore, we'll definitely be back.
