The Greenery has been a staple in my life since childhood. I have so many memories of grabbing lunch here while my mom was at work, so I was thrilled to move back to the area and be close by again. Their cashew chicken salad is absolutely to die for, and whether you're in the mood for a sandwich, a salad, or even just their iced tea, everything tastes incredibly fresh and made with care. The staff is always kind and welcoming, which makes every visit even better. On top of the great food, it's such a peaceful spot to spend some time. This place has been here since I have been in high school! ...and that's been awhile :) it changed hands a few years back but came in today and they still have amazing wholesome ingredient meals. I was surprised to see the orange color of the tuna sandwich but it's from the carrots, which was new to me. Definitely enjoyed it! The chiquita banana smoothie was tasty. I don't think I've ever had a peach, coconut and banana smoothie before (or even thought to put that combo together), but it was better than I expected. Omg I could not be happier I decided to come here today!! The food was exquisite! I typically have a smaller appetite so I would've ordered their lunch special because it's ONLY 12 dollars! I got a half of the turkey avocado sandwich and a half of the chicken cashew sandwich. They were both sooo delicious!!! It was so clean and just such good quality that even though I ate a lot of food my body feels great. I also got a cup of the broccoli potato cheese soup which was to die for?? The Best Soup, Salad and Sandwich place in Orange ! I literally eat here 2-4 times a week. First time coming and won't be back. They seemed confused about vegetarian versus vegan saying that the lasagna was vegan when it wasn't. I got the tuna sandwich. The bread was so dry, cold and hard to eat and the tuna was also dry. I asked for a side of mayo and they brought honey mustard instead, Potato soup was OK, but it tasted like it came out of a can. I've been going to The Greenery for a few years now even back when it was the previous owners. Now under new ownership for over a year now the taste & quality continues. I'm sure it has to do with the same ladies in the back kitchen making the meals too. The eatery has been updated with some new furniture, paint and murals. We are always greeted with a smile and a big thank you for coming in. Sometimes you can catch the owner, Guy behind the counter. I did meet his daughter Samantha today and she was very hospitable as well. We are fan favorites of the chicken salad cashew sandwich with chips and salsa. It is on a tasty squaw bread and it is a good portion sized sandwich. Yes its gone up in price a bit, not too much but its understandable. Another fave is the broccoli cheese soup. Mmm yum! You can earn points toward money off meals so be sure to sign up and build points. If you ever have a chance to stop in for lunch do it. They are now open on Saturdays too. read more
