Came here one morning with my son for breakfast and we were so glad we found this cute little hidden gem tucked away in the corner! They have a couple small outdoor tables for two, which is nice if you want to sit outside, and the inside is cozy and charming--perfect little brunch/café vibe. We ordered the Chilaquiles with and the Breakfast Burrito, and both were so delicious! The chilaquiles were flavorful and satisfying, cooked perfectly. The breakfast burrito was huge, packed with flavor, and came out hot and fresh. The service was very friendly and welcoming, and our food came out nice and warm pretty quickly. Overall, the food was decent, the atmosphere was cozy, and the staff made us feel comfortable. Definitely a great local breakfast spot if you're in the area. We'll be back! read more

I've been to the Garden Grove location multiple times and honestly, the last couple of times I was left deterred from going back as the food quality had started to lack. This new location is truly a breath of fresh air - the food quality is just the same, if not better than I remember it. This location is HUGE, with tons of indoor and outdoor seating. Everything is new so everything is clean pretty. The wait staff is on point and definitely catering to you, I can anticipate that this might change as they become busier. I ordered the cafe de olla (a cinnamon infused coffee) to drink and was warned that it was on the sweeter side - I definitely agree that it was. I added some half and Half, which helped but it was still a little sweet for me. My husband got a pineapple and spinach which was super tasty; the spinach balanced out the tartness of the pineapple and was refreshing to the taste. I got my usually, the chilaquiles with grilled chicken and a side of beans. This was DELICIOUS - perfect in every bite. I hate when the tortilla chips get soggy from the sauce and these definitely didn't. The sauce was not spicy in my opinion and paired perfectly with the crispy chips. They had a great amount of sour cream and cheese. The grilled chicken was cooked to perfection. I loved it and was glad to taste these flavors again. My husband got the torta de chicken Milanesa and it was also perfect. The bread size has definitely decreased over the years but the flavor was there. Crispy breaded chicken, with fresh lettuce, tomato, and mayo - yummy. I am so glad they went back to their roots and hope the continue to keep this quality of food and service. When we first walked in the staff greeted us right away. We sat where we wanted to sit and felt like we were sitting at a dining room at my grandmas. The place is big and alot of seating. I usually go to the gg location, but since this is close to my church, I came here today. I had visitors from China. The server Mauro was so kind and patient explaining the menu options for my Chinese friends. They enjoyed El Gran Burrito and an omelette of choice ingredients. My brunch item was French Toast with whipped cream and strawberries, extra crispy bacon with an over medium egg. The Cafe de la Olla was soooo good! And we had fresh squeezed orange juice. They kept our coffee fresh and hot, and kept checking if we needed anything! The menu is great! From eggs Benedict to huevos rancheros to waffles and quesadillas. First bite, total soggy mush...super undercooked...With cinnamon ‍‍bread no less!!! Next bite, a little bit firmer..(it was an edge ) the next bite totally tough..was more edging.. I just ate it...had finally figured out waiter didn't really understand English very well. My friend's Florentine...looked good!!! Upon eating, spinach was soggy mess and the English muffin was raw. We told them, they offered to remake..She accepted as she only ate one, up to the muffin...Ten minutes later, another waiter brings out her whole remade plate, potatoes and all! And two new eggs/muffins...he tries to hand me the plate, as my food is empty on my plate in front of me. Maybe he thought I wanted more?? I told him it was for her, he looked at me like I was crazy...then turned to her with the plate and just looked at her!!! It was kinda comical!!! Anyways, we told him take this, leave that...He finally did!! Upon examining her food, looking for a toasted muffin..( all she really wanted out of it) again raw..So we finally get our waiters attention...Tell him what's up...He again offers another attempt at trying to make it..She accepted knowing at this time we would be taking it home! In the interim of all of this I had ordered a refill on my ice tea. They bring her next and last plate...mind you they are redoing the whole thing...Potatoes and all... She looks at it and gets to her muffin, which is finally toasted!!! Spinach still a soggy mess... We then sit there unattended for what felt like forever until we caught our waiters attention and I asked for an ice tea to go And our check...He tell me he has to brew a fresh pot of tea as I have drank the only tea they had prepared previously with my two glasses!!! How crazy is that? Mind you it's only breakfast/lunch! And out of tea already? I say okay after his strange explanation... He brings out the bill. Is trying to explain it while trying to hand it to my friend. Probably because she had the issue right? He is explaining... and I over heard him say something about the tea, and all the teas I drank, and charging for them all!!! Mind you I had one refill on my original drink and asked for a tea to go... THEY DID NOT AND DO NOT OFFER FREE REFILLS ON DRINKS!!! BEWARE!!!
