Dirty chai

This spot is right in between the bike path, train track line and the beach. Connected to a corner store. They have outdoor seating in the back and the front with high top seats inside. This spot feels like the owner wanted a cool spot for his friends to all hang out so he made one. Super dope chill and you can tell the neighborhood really enjoys it as well. They also sell beer. I'll be back to try their other menu items but it's definitely a dope spot to come after a surf or tan

Iced black Americano $3.75!

First, let me start with I don't think they've raised their prices in a decade. And if they did, it was mere cents and not noticed. The coffee is so good, not acidic at all. This honestly became a place that when my kids were young I met other moms who I'm now friends with to this day even if our kids go to different schools or went in different directions. If you're looking for a cookie cutter, manufactured smile, corporatized customer service vibe, this won't be the place, but if you want a place that no one's going to judge you if you want four shots in your coffee, or eat one of their delicious sandwiches all to yourself in two minutes, or enjoy a beer after a Thursday morning walk at 11 AM, then this is the place. I also know that anytime I have asked this establishment if they'd like to donate to a baseball raffle basket, donate to my kids, elementary school, they've emphatically always said yes. And if you give the place more than one opportunity for your business they will know your order when you walk in the door or at least throw a couple versions of what you've ordered in the past.

The Cup is a true local spot. I love coming here. The staff is always so nice and friendly. They serve coffee and more adult drinks along with pastries and hearty breakfast sandwiches. The coffee is excellent and full of flavor. I had an Iced Americano and a Birdie sandwich. The Birdie was fantastic. The bread is so good! The Americano, a classic.

I wanted to try something other than the big chains like Starbucks Pete's etc...... so I tried this place. It was actually really good I had the chai latte hot. Will definitely be coming back

This hole-in-the-wall coffee shop offers fast and efficient service. Their menu is simple with inexpensive prices. I ordered an iced vanilla latte that was delicious. Definitely worth it.

Ordered the birdie with turkey avocado sprouts cheddar and mayo for $11. Out of pretzel bread so we're having it on pressed wheat sourdough. Lives are super reasonable. Pacifico only $5 and matcha latte only $4. Okay, seriously, this is a hidden gem. Quality ingredients, cool vibe, smiling and efficient service by a new mom and a fair price all rolled into one!! Do it

Are the eggs cooked to order?

Yes

Any smoothies? What kinds?

No. I don't believe they do. And if they do, the selection is small. I can't remember ever seeing one made there

If you haven't visited Green Cheek yet, you're doing it wrong!…read more Green Cheek has the best selection of craft beers, and even some seltzers. The food is absolutely fresh and amazing, with options for Vegan, Keto, and Pescatarian diets. This brewery has a few locations throughout Southern California and we're so happy they're in Oceanside. Service is always friendly and helpful (given how many beer options they have)! Lots of indoor and outdoor seating. Can get a little loud on nights and weekends. Kid- and dog-friendly! Parking is tricky, but they do have their own lot in the heart of Downtown Oceanside I think.

The location is great and of course, all the different areas to drink beer in here whether it be inside, the outside balcony or garden area. they're all very nice. We ordered a pizza and some beers which hit the spot. They don't give you any coasters for any of your drinks and there's no air-conditioning so when it's hot out, your beers are definitely sweating all over the counter and then when you pick them up they're dripping all over you. I asked for coasters and they don't have any so just bring your own. The staff is super friendly and our beertender's Aric and Nikki were so awesome. I'll definitely be back next time I'm in town.

Bottlecraft has several locations, but we have both agreed that the Oceanside location is our favorite. Bottlecraft is a bottle shop and tasting room - This means that you can taste a variety of beers, which taps continuously rotating - then pick up cans of your faves.. or try brand new cans to bring home. We love to grab a spot at the bar {typically to watch whatever sporting event is on TV}, or on the back outdoor patio space if we come with a group. When seated at the bar area, you can also chat with the amazing beertenders and ask for their recommendations if you're unsure what to try {I will always recommend a good Hazy or Double IPA}. The team here is always on point - Providing fantastic service as well as friendly conversation while you enjoy your brews! Not a beer drinker?! Hard Kombucha, Cider, Wine and Non-Alcoholic options are available - There is something for everyone! While enjoying your brews, if hunger hits, visit Shootz Fish & Beer - This is a stellar food spot tucked in the corner as you enter the shop. Do not skip out on the Potato Taco! It's the perfect pairing with a good beer - You will thank me later for introducing this combo into your life! ;-) Along with phenomenal beer, Bottlecraft is pet friendly and just a hop skip and jump to the beach - What's not to love here?! Calling all beer peeps - Are you on Untapped?? If so, let me know.. I'd love to connect and see what brews you are currently loving.. or not.

I was able to find beers that I have not been able to find anywhere else. Tried the sour that was on tap and bought the cascade kriek sour. They have a nice outdoor area that seems to be connected to the other businesses they are connected to. Will come back to try more beers.

They do charge for extra, which I get, but I wished for a little more to start. Their homemade ranch made up for it though! With so many places to imbibe in Oceanside, I realize how competitive these places have to be to…read morestay in business so I have to admit, my standards are fairly high. My husband and I stopped in to Frankie's on a recent Saturday at 5pm. Our kiddo had a performance down the street at 6pm so we had a little time to kill beforehand. The neighboring spots looked busy so we decided to go with Frankie's, seeing as they were less inundated at the time and we had a time constraint. Another allure was the sandwich board at the front door advertising discounted cocktails - sold!! Inside there were a handful of patrons at the bar, another table with two additional patrons and maybe a couple on the patio so it was fairly quiet and slow, so it looked promising. We headed up to the bar and hung out behind two empty barstools, the single female bartender greeted us and said she'd be right with us, but then continued chatting up the seated patrons, serving them and their friends that had just joined (AFTER we'd arrived). We moved a little further down to the handoff area where she was making drinks to save her having to come back to us again, and stood there for probably 10 minutes while she took orders and made all the drinks. We commented that she looked like she could definitely use a hand, and she said they were still adjusting into summer hours and determining whether more coverage was needed at this time - I figured 5pm on a Saturday should be primetime, so I'm not sure in what universe having a single bartender makes any sense. Finally we placed our cocktail orders, waited while they were made, and then put our card down for the tab. After we'd paid, I noticed the cocktails were more expensive than advertised on the sandwich board out front - I couldn't find a disclaimer anywhere that said only certain cocktails were included, so while it was a bummer I wasn't about to wait another 10-15 minutes to catch her attention and ask for clarification. Just a heads up to beware of whatever is advertised that might summon you in from the sidewalk, and make sure you ask before you make your selection. Drinks were very subpar, nothing special to write home about. While I can appreciate the Gatsby-esque vibe they're trying to uphold at Frankie's, they really should increase their staffing especially during prime weekend and evening hours, and be more transparent about their specials and what's included and what's not. Hindsight is 20/20, and the low volume of patrons when everything else around it was going off was probably a sign, so we'll skip Frankie's our next go around.
