I'm in love with this place, they're open early for coffee and late for beer (or vice versa). They use Monin syrups and make a mean honey vanilla latte, but also know what a cappuccino is supposed to taste like. I've never had the beer here, but they're busy, so I assume it's all good. The sandwiches, especially the southwestern chicken, is quite tasty and big. They're super friendly, right off 101 on Wisconsin, next to the tracks, and steps to the beach. Convenient little coffee shop located up the street from the beach. I love to stop here sometimes while on my morning walks. My first time here was quite busy, but the baristas were on it! I go to the Cup at least 3 times a week. Amazing staff- they treat everyone like friends. I am a bit of a coffee snob from the PNW, and this is the only coffee I enjoy in Oceanside. A $2 Americano??? The food handling here was atrocious. The employees here were on the register handling money and then handling food. At one point I saw one of the employees handle bagels, avocados, ham, etc with bare hands and then pulled their phone out, put it down and then resume food preparation. You're supposed to be washing hands and wearing gloves when preparing food. I'm genuinely concerned because a similar review was posted about 2 months ago and the problems have not been fixed. The employees could get someone very sick if they continue these habits which will cause way bigger problems than just bad reviews. Very close to the beach and cute little setup! You can find this local caffeine spot tuck between the Wisconsin liquor market and train tracks. They have outside patio seating as well as indoor with very limited seating. As you walk into this tiny shop, you are immediately greeted by the awesome woodsy like decor and a hint of espresso flowing through the room. This is a dog friendly zone, so please watch your feet so that you dont kick over any water bowls lol. They do serve some selected beers here as well, but the prices of their coffees and delicious treats is unbeatable! Overall, I will be coming back here again when im skating near the area. Stopped here after getting a new tube for my bike on the way to the beach. I remembered seeing that they had sandwiches which was exactly what we wanted. My husband loved the fact that they also sell beer! I had a pomegranate iced green tea that was refreshing! They have a few tables outside so I was able to watch my bike while we ate and you can see a glimpse of the ocean too! I had the 'no meat 4 me' sandwich which had sprouts, avocado, tomato and pesto spread. All the ingredients were fresh. We will be back again soon! read more

This cafe is the perfect excuse to combine both beer and cappuccino's!! How impressive is this idea??! And not to mention the beautiful art and crafts every where it really does feel like home, very cozy and warming especially when out on a rainy day for a nice hot cappuccino. The beer hits the spot straight from the tap and poured to perfection, I also learned that this is a family owned business which I think really shows given the energy and great vibes. I recommend this cafe for any mood on any day I'm so happy Oceanside has a nice cafe like this one here I will definitely stop by more often and hopefully get to know more about this establishment. read more

Wow! I like this place a lot. I walk my dog in the mornings and I will usually stop in and grab a cup of Americano to enjoy while I walk along the coast with Wookie. It's a small shop but very very tastefully done. The are very dog friendly if your dog is friendly. It's a local beach crowd, maybe a tourist or two will wander in later hours, but everyone is super nice and outgoing. It seems on the weekends they cook up something on the grill, maybe eggs. I didn't look that close but lots of people around. Good place to hang out, they have wifi, and enjoy watching the morning fog burn off and the people go by. They also have a refrigerator with bottled drinks so if you are passing by and need a refreshment for the beach you can get one. They close eary in the afternoon but they said they might be expanding their hours for summer. I like this place a lot, so if you want a cup of morning Joe support your local businesses! Plus it's a great place so it's easy to do. I think they have only just begun and I am looking forward to their success! read more

This place is small and homey, a place you'd want to become a regular at. I walked in with 3 other people this morning and we immediately made the little shop twice as crowded as it had been before we arrived. The baristas were very helpful in getting us the right drinks, and even let us sample some of their Kombucha on tap. The barista said they didn't have their kombucha on tap, but would gladly hook it up and let us try some if we were interested in ordering it. We took her up on the offer (she gave us the fruit punch flavor) - although didn't end up ordering any because it tasted a little more watered down than we were used to. We ordered a mocha, mocha brucciato, and an iced americano. All are handmade with the cafe calabria beans, and not overly sweet like you might expect at a chain cafe. If I was at the beach in Oceanside, I'd say this is the perfect little cafe to take a quick stroll to! read more

Let's start with the inability of the female employee to help customers in the order they arrive. I'm generally patient with small mom and pop shops but this girl sucked. I ordered a simple breakfast sandwich. Something from the menu with no alterations, just as is, and it took 25 minutes for her to make the sandwich. She helped 10-25 customers after taking my order before she even decided to make my sandwich. The cali sandwich was average at best. Also, they were out of eggs at 7:30am. I found this great little coffee shop quite by accident but all it took was one visit to make this venue a regular stop at least once, but usually several times, each week. I have appreciated a good hot cup of coffee early in the morning for years, but I can honestly say the coffee served by the CUP sits at the top of my list. Add to this a bevy of sandwiches and other treats, as well as a cold beer if that flicks your bic and you have what is now my favorite place to spend a morning or two. Well this was a good find! I met my friend here who wanted coffee, I wanted food, looked on yelp and found this little gem. It is right off of Wisconsin right beyond the tracks before the ocean and it's perfect! Hipster vibe with good coffee and tea options and sandwiches for either breakfast or lunch. I got the spicy chicken something or other with the iced tea. Both were great! My friend got the iced coffee and said she really liked it too. It's beachy, full of locals and delicious! I walked in and was immediately greeted with the biggest smile & hello from the cute barista girl. I live a little far away to make it daily... but every Wednesday I start off here for an espresso and head out for a bike ride on "The Strand", since the shop is one block from the beach. I read some of the other reviews and agree this is North County's version of "Cheers" where everyone knows each others names. I love that! The Baristas are friendly and engaging... not like the robots at Starbucks. I did stop off for a beer the other evening... same cool vibe as the mornings here. They rotate the local kegs often so the variety is good. They could definitely charge more $$ for the espresso and beers......My ONLY complaint is the location....I wish it was in Carlsbad! read more
