Love The Cup. As a local it's my favorite spot for coffee and a quick breakfast. The staff and the customers are all so friendly, I look forward to interacting with other Oceanside locals every time I go there. Great food, the No Meat for Me on a Jalapeño and Cheese bagel ($7) is my go to and the Breakfast Sammy for my boyfriend ($6). Coffee is tasty and local and they have milk alternative options. Iced coffee is my go to and will be a couple buck, maybe $3? Great hangout out front and in the back, plus WiFi when you need to get some work done. I love the Cup. read more

Treated to Father's Day for lunch. I really like the craft beer and the Southwestern chicken sandwich was very tasty. The beer on tap was "Slooow Mo" from Knee Deep Brewing in Auburn, CA (Amazing they choose a beer from Norcal when there are so many breweries in San Diego, but I really liked it.) The sandwiches are relatively small ( for a guy) and so suggest to always bring women with you as there is a good chance one will share the part of their sandwich they can't eat. No sides come with the sandwiches. The prices for everything on the menu are value driven compared to many other options. The craft beer is $5 and the Southwest Chicken sandwich is $8.00 The back patio is private from the parking lot and the surrounding scene. Seats are NOT super comfortable, but the wind is blocked by the 6ft fence. Awesome local coffee shop located on Wisconsin Avenue by the railroad tracks. It is within walkable distance from the South end of The Strand and the Beach area. I stayed in Oceanside for the weekend and came here twice for my morning coffee. * SHOP * It is a small shop, with both tables and bar seating. There's also tables available outside (but alcohol are not allowed outside). Pretty homey atmosphere and I saw a lot of people chilling with a book or their computers. * COFFEE * Very delighted that they offered Almond Milk Latte for us non-dairy coffee-lovers. The coffee is definitely stronger than Starbucks, and taste will vary depending on who you get as your barista. Nevertheless, I am happy with a nice strong cup of coffee to start off my day! It was a regular patron here. But I can't come anymore due to employees not following Current health codes. The food handlers are not wearing gloves or Masks. The order takers sometimes have a mask, but often times don't have it on, and usually don't have it covering their nose. I'm pissed, because the world sucks and I want my favorite coffee shop.... but I also don't want to get sick, or get anyone else sick. Follow protocols please! Discovered this place while waiting for our table at The Flying Pig. We couldn't get a beer while we waited there but The Cup has draft beer so what a perfect surprise! My daughters and I came back to The Cup today to try their coffee. I had an Americano, one daughter had a chai spice tea and my youngest had a hot chocolate with whipped cream. Our total was about $8 and I couldn't believe it, such a deal. We all enjoyed our drinks, my youngest said it was the best hot chocolate and it was the perfect temp, not too hot. My sister and I stopped here for breakfast on our way to Escondido and It did not disappoint. I got the avocado toast and my sister got a sandwich. The avocado toast was very flavorful. I also got a coffee and a warmed up sticky bun. The service was nice and people are constantly in and out. There are a few regulars which I thought was pretty cool. There isn't much seating but my sister and I were able to get a table. They are very dog friendly and I would gladly come back! The Cup has some bomb sandwiches! My wife got the Cali and I ordered the Southwest. My pretzel bun and the sweet Sriracha sauce put my sandwich over the top! Fresh passion ice tea too. I cant wait to come back earlier in the day to try their coffee too. Great location being about a block from the water if you want to order to-go, but they also have a nice, little patio where it seems like the locals bring their furry friends too. The Cup is one of our favorite places to go, especially during the pandemic. My boyfriend and I just recently moved to the area and were looking for ways to get out of the house that didn't feel too risky. We discovered The Cup and absolutely fell in love with the vibe here: friendly, so warm and welcoming, and just a place anyone can hang out at. The outdoor seating area is very laidback, open, and very chill. The drinks are always delicious and they have something for anyone: people wanting a pick-me-up with coffee or people wanting to relax with a beer. Their food is yummy too, and I super recommend the Meatless 4 U (with bacon) which was recommended to me by one of the owners. What really has kept us returning, in addition to the wonderful things mentioned above, is how warm everyone is with us. During the pandemic, it's been really easy to feel isolated, and going here and being treated in such a friendly way is helping keep us sane and feel more connected to this new town we're in. I'm not surprised though, because watching the sandwich artist, he makes a LOT of those sammies! Anyhow, the turkey bacon avocado sandwich and the ham with sriracha were both excellent and incredibly fresh. It's impressive that this small and very busy shop puts so much love (and time) into sandwiches! I spent a few hours here with my dog working on my laptop out back, and I truly wish it could be my every day office. Fresh, friendly, small; just a few of the words I like to hear when someone says 'coffee shop'. The baristas always greet me warmly, like I'm a friend they haven't seen for a while. This place is pretty awesome. I love waking up early in the morning, taking a walk, and stopping here to get a bagel breakfast sandwich with some iced coffee! It can be slow with one person making the sandwich but I'm always satisfied once I get it. This spot is super popular and locals love it. Some reviewers state that in a bad way and I don't get it. Love this place been coming here for over three years. The staff is friendly and the service is excellent. Outside seating or to go-- the food is good and the caffeine is flowing. This place is a great example of Oceanside laid-back Surfer culture. Highly recommend! It's right down the street from the beach so you can enjoy the view too. If Walking or bicycle riding is your thing it's right next to the bicycle path. Good place to stop for some refreshment.
