They have numerous different options of scones to choose from and multiple gluten free options as well. The service is always great and your food is delivered with a smile. I was a little skeptical based on the poor customer service reviews, but gave them a try anyway. When we walked in we were greeted with a friendly hello by a woman, but she wasn't the one who helped us. The place appeared clean, and there was plenty of room to sit, both inside and outside. When we approached the display case, a different young lady behind the counter said "are you guys gonna want a scone?" I informed her that I needed a minute to decide and stepped away so that the people behind us could order. When the lady ordering asked the employee what she should choose, the employee said "the lemon lavender is good". Not a great way to sell something in my opinion, but since I didn't know what I wanted either, I opted for the lemon lavender as well when we ordered. My daughter got the vanilla bean scone. I could totally see why there are many poor reviews on customer service. My daughter thought the young lady helping us was rude, but I simply thought she lacked customer service skills and wasn't the friendly, welcoming face you'd want serving your customers. I also agree with other reviews that the prices should be on the menu. I'm sure there are ways to list prices that don't require the expense of having to redo menus. A chalkboard perhaps? I've even seen menus with tabs with current prices taped on the menus to cover old prices. Just a thought. As far as the scones go, they were big, and they had plenty of options to choose from. My daughter and I agreed that the ones we selected were not bad, but I think we were expecting them to be better. Never in my life have I had a good scone. All I have known about them is that they are these bland, crumbly, sad blueberry bricks you can buy from the store and they just aren't good. This shop has single handedly changed my perception of this. These scones are dense, moist, and so full of flavor. You can tell by the taste and quality they are made fresh daily, and they will last if you grab a half dozen to enjoy over the next few days at home. The coffee is robust and not at all burnt. The sconewiches are delicious, and the price point is worth it for the quality and portion size. The servers are polite and informative for my questions, and the girl behind the counter stayed busy with cleaning and tasks the entire time I was enjoying my meal. The establishment is clean, tidy, and organized. This is a lovely place to chat with friends, or get some work done on a laptop or tablet. So initially came her because I saw they served their coffee in ceramic cups. I wanted to do their expresso flight which was 2 crafted lattes and a sparkling water. I wasn't able to get what I wanted so settled for a latte and a doppio. The late was good, but I didn't enjoy the doppio. It had a burnt taste. The Crafted Scone, how I wish you were here in North County! I stopped by here after changing out my spetum over at Ava. It's a small but cozy shop tucked away in a plaza. The place is very bright and very clean. They have a ton of different flavors including Vegan scones and Gluten Free scones. I have only noticed that they carry one vegan scone at a time but I am thankful for even being thought of. On my first visit there were only two other guests including myself so it was the perfect opportunity to get in some work before I hit the road. The person helping me was very nice albeit a bit shy and maybe not as experienced. Lovely, nonetheless. The second visit was early saturday morning but not early enough because they were swamped. That line was almost out the door but they were getting everyone in and out. The coffee is really really good. They carry syrups from both Monin and 1883 with different options of plant milk. If you love cafe's and bakeries, I think you would enjoy this one. The interior was very nice and I loved the many seating options from a place to study and just some comfy chairs. I was in the area and noticed a new name on the plaza sign and decided to check it out. It was perfect because I was looking for coffee too! I ordered a box of scones as a gift and they had loved it! I got the chocolate chip, s'mores, lavender lemon, unicorn, and cranberry orange. The scones were nice and soft and the perfect sweetness. I also ordered a brown butter toffee latte with oatmilk and it was very good. I'm not sure if she was the owner, but she had very cool platinum hair with pink in it and was really nice! I love that they also write kind messages on the cups. I would definitely come back to try the honey bee latte and the naughty pig pastry they had. I heard that the naughty pig has a runny egg inside along with bacon and that sounded so appetizing. This cafe/bakery deserves 5 stars for sure! read more

Have ordered take out from the Crafted Scone before but this was the first time eating at the restaurant. Quite a few patrons already enjoying their breakfasts both inside and enjoying the beautiful weather outside as well. And there were many others in line to order. But the line moved quickly. The hot food we ordered only took a few minutes until it was ready and did not disappoint. The kids kept it simple with just scones of their choosing. Wife ordered a Benedict that was delicious. Save yourself the letdown. Service is inconsistent, food quality is disappointing. I had the lavender goat cheese toast which was stale and a flavorless /watery London Fog Latte. They definitely didn't brew the tea correctly. To top it off the bathroom was dirty. I truly want to support small businesses, which is why I've tried all their locations multiple times -- but each visit has been more disappointing than the last. I loved the ambiance, like a cottage setting with lovely tables and cozy chairs in little nooks to sit in and read a book with a pastry and some hot chocolate. Or coffee, lol. I loved going to this place when they 1st opened. I'd go there a least once a week if only for a coffee at times. It had a great atmosphere, good coffee and pretty good scones. I stopped going and have not been back in a while. This is of the worst places I've been to for up charging for service fees. They also charge 50 cents for half & half for your coffee and charge for tap water. No other business does that! The Crafted Scone charges 6 plus dollars for a scone. Most other places charge around $4 without the service fees and charging for water. Coffee is not cheap here either. I know that these up charges will not break the bank for most people. It was fairly busy and drizzling outside and the only indoor seating near the restroom which had a view into their kitchen. This place is really cute and love the variety of scones they have. I got the strawberry matcha and a breakfast sconewich. The strawberry matcha was delicious and came out very fast. The sconewich took a little longer to come out and while everything did taste good, the sconewich did fall apart as soon as I picked it up. I ended up getting a knife and fork to eat it. I had a bite of the everything bagel scone and it was delicious. I plan to get one on my next visit. The scones are priced from $5 to $8 dollars each but most of them are larger than average scones. Was never a fan of scones before I tried THE CRAFTED SCONE. Pretty obsessed with this place now! I've tried about 10 + different flavors and haven't found any that I don't love! My favorite is probably the frosted coconut one. They're big, soft, fresh and soooo flavorful!!!! They also have great coffee & great customer service. I subtracted a star because I had ordered a ham and cheese croissant warmed up (to go) and it was very cold in the middle. Looking forward to trying the rest of their breakfast menu. Found this place while traveling and wish I would have found them before my last day. So many scones to choose from and they melt in your mouth. They have a few breakfast and lunch items such as a monte cristo! Their shop has tables and chairs along with some comfy chairs to hang out and chat. They have good music playing. Plus they have coffee and teas. Very friendly staff. Apple Maps took me to the other side of the building which is a Mexican restaurant.
