The coffee was delicious, and the lemon bar was hands down the best I've ever had! Perfectly buttery crust with just the right amount of lemon tartness. Tried this local scones shop and it did not disappoint. My daughter got an Iced Matcha Tea Latte, she said it was the best Matcha she's ever had. The scones were fresh out of the oven, buttery, and perfectly baked crisp on the outside and soft in the center. The flavors were balanced and not overly sweet, which we all loved. These are seriously the best scones I've ever had in my life, and I have been to many tea houses, and have purchased all different brands from the bakery section, but these are on a whole other level! Even if you think you don't like scones, you will love these! Check them out on IG for their most updated info. The website actually doesn't show their newest and 3rd location, or all of their flavors. Truly unbelievable and not dry at all, although they are crumbly as they're supposed to be, and there are sooooooo many flavors offered here! The Scottie is amazing with butterscotch chips, and the Lemon Lavender one is a perfectly paired flavor. The coffee is also very well crafted. Came in here to work over the Christmas week. Outlet wise there's two tables along the wall with access to an outlet, so if you don't get those you maybe out of luck. Got in relatively early around 7:45am and we were the only ones there. Got a cranberry orange scone and a honey goat cheese toast. The scone itself was a little cakey for me, but had good flavor. The honey goat cheese toast tasted great, but also a bit pricey for what it was. It also got slammed around 10am, line out the door. Not sure if this was a holiday break crowd or typical. If you're looking for a place to work or study, I would probably pass, it's quite noisy due to how busy it is, limited seating, and outlets. Vegan scones! This Saturday morning in May and the flavor was lemon lavender. Nice moist and filling. It came to $6.95 which I think was a little pricey for the Size and Taste of it. I would price it closer to $4.95 based on what I served in a paper bag. But the place is nice well decorated friendly group of young women making scones fresh right behind the glass where you can watch them here on premises. Seating indoor outdoor. All I can say is that salted brown butter scone. WOW. It's not your regular degular dry crumbly scone, no offense if you like them that way! I cant wait to come back here since I have only eaten scones from here once. I walked in and ordered 3 scones to go just to try. My 3 picks were: gingerbread with coarse sugar on top, blueberry, and a banana scone with some icing on top. The first one l tried was the gingerbread and it was pretty dry and crumbly--everything l don't want in a scone. So after two bites l switched to the blueberry and it was absolute perfection! I didn't even save any for my husband to try . But you *know* l expected him to share that banana scone with me!! He did allow me a few bites but l took one just to be able to review. He said it was the best scone he has ever had. He also doesn't typically like scones (no one likes a dry one, that's for sure!). So l think the fact he was able to try one that was not dry and was delicious has made him realize that they're not ALL like that. I asked when he wanted to go again and he was receptive to going soon (not typical unless he reallllllly likes something). One thing l didn't expect was for them to not have clotted cream. I know thats more of a UK thing, but this place is known for scones. They had a whipped cream cheese spread, some butter and a few jellies but no clotted cream option. Next time l would opt to stay and eat in the restaurant. It's nice and cute. And l would also order a savory sandwich on a scone and of course take 3-5 scones to go. It's NOT cheap. 3 scones set me back $20! But 2 of the 3 were good enough to come back for more. Short of making my own and praying they aren't too dry, l will be coming here for my future scone fix. I really enjoy coming here because the scones are delicious, the drinks are great, and they have a huge variety of flavors to choose from. Unfortunately, the customer service can be disappointing at times. The staff often seem dismissive, don't engage much with customers, and aren't very helpful when questions are asked. What concerned me most during my recent visit was seeing multiple flies all over the pastries on display. Flies are disgusting! The staff could clearly see it happening and didn't seem to make any effort to address it. Considering these pastries are being sold to customers, that was very off-putting and unsanitary. This is my second time here and I love the fact they have gluten free scones and was able to take my friend who has severe allergies here and she loved the gf scones, they were tasty, moist and flavorful. It is difficult to always find a place that makes gf bakery items and this is definitely one to return too. Since I do not have an allergy I tried their regular scones and loved the chocolate chip and plain scone with the original cream. It was low sugar as well. That's what I get for ordering a keto scone I guess but I wanted gluten free and they did have 2 other options but they did not sound good to me. I also ordered the turkey sandwich on sourdough bread. That was $13 and it was not good. The bread tasted like it was left out and stale and the mango jam in the sandwich just didn't compliment it at all. I ended up scraping it off. I got a lemonade and it tasted different. The crumbly nature of scones meant my sandwich fell apart. Not that it affected how it tastes but maybe there's a solution to be found somewhere. The coffee here wasn't for me. I got the raspberry mocha and it was one of those instances when you get a coffee and it tastes too sweet and like pure syrup. I had to water it down and wait for the ice to melt. Finally got to check out this gem in old town murrieta. This is such a beautiful spot, tranquil, peaceful and welcoming. They have some indoor and a very small amount of outdoor seating, I imagine it can be very busy during "prime course." We got there around 1120 on a Wednesday (during summer) and walked right up and had a table inside. The service is amazing. They are super friendly, welcoming and take the time to explain some of their best sellers and personal favorites. They had so much to choose from and honestly everything looked delicious. The scones were fabulous! Fresh, flavorful and big enough to share. We also ordered 3 different iced coffees and they were all delicious as well. Overall this is a must try, and a place I will definitely be going back to. You just want to bring a journal, grab a coffee and scone and hangout for a while. We had family in town from overseas so we thought it'd be a nice place to bring them for a coffee and scone or sandwich. We had the avocado on toast which was underwhelming to say the least plus a few different pastries which were nice. The staff didn't seem very welcoming at all and forgot to make one of the coffees we ordered easy mistake I know but she had attitude when we approached her to ask for the missing coffee. I truly think this place could be a great experience all round but staff training is definitely needed, they just seem to cackle among themselves and ignore the customers. 15/10 absolutely worth a drive from San Diego on its own! My friend and I stopped here for breakfast on the way to Glen Ivy and absolutely fell in love. Small town vibes and they already set up holiday decorations and music. There's plenty of seating and even a corner with a couple of couches for lounging. Friendly staff and service as well. There were so many delicious options to choose from. I wound up getting a sausage and cheese scone casserole bake and it was so good. It's the next day and I'm thinking about it. I cannot believe I have not yet reviewed The Crafted Scone. I came here during the pandemic to pick up an order I had placed online. The owner was there that day and we hit it off immediately. I am not surprised at all- but I am so happy for how well this business has done. Guys, if you think scones need to be dry hockey pucks.... well then come here and THINK again! The scones here are pure magic. They are crumbly yet not dry and hard. The flavors are outstanding. Sweet, savory- some with breakfast meat and eggs?! Also- the vegan scones? Delicious. Absolutely a must try if you haven't gone. Go early! The good things go fast and do not think for a minute you are just going to buy one. Trust me, just get a small box cause you are going to want to covert everyone you know to scones after you come here. The coffee here is also excellent.
