Place is very pretty. Customer service is not good. The two ladies ahead of me kindly allowed me to order before them, I was just getting a tea for myself. After I ordered my tea, the two ladies ordered 4 elaborate coffees; the works :) The barista began the four coffees and then my tea. Took 15 minutes to get one tea. I adore this chain, but this location? Not so much. While I feel it's the prettiest of their locations, it fell for me when ordering four scones today and all four were dry. I have been to their two other locations and experienced it with *one* of the four scones I tried at the other Temecula location. The third other location in Murrieta was a perfect 4/4 on the texture. At $7/ea this is hard to come to terms with because I spent over $30 with tax for food that tastes dry and somewhat stale due to that. No one wants to eat a dry scone! I was telling the girl at the register I had an issue with the gingerbread scone at another location (remember the 1 out of 4 scones I said was dry at the other Temecu location?) and asked if the egg nog flavor was also dry. She said the scones with the icing were less dry due to the fact they were iced. But their blueberry, which is my favorite, is not iced and isn't dry at their other locations. But it sure was here. I also ordered a cranberry orange, peach, and a brown sugar and butter. I wouldn't order them there again. At the Murrieta location I also ordered the orange cranberry and it was perfection. The peach had an overwhelming amount of cinnamon, making it taste more like spice cake and hiding the peach flavor. Sad face. I think the baker here is a bit off on their ratios or bakes them a little too long. Possibly the oven runs hotter. I couldn't tell you. That's not my area of expertise. What I do know is that I won't be returning to this location and will continue to frequent the Murrieta location. I have nothing bad to say about the service. Or the cute and clean shop, definitely stop in for maybe a drink instead. But get your scones at their other location. read more

Not only is this place super cute, cozy, and spacious with the sweetest staff, but the Birthday Cake iced coffee I had from the Valentine's Day menu was legitimately one of the best beverages I've ever had. The sprinkles on top were absolutely delightful and adorable! My friend really liked the rounded bottom of the cups too. Food was excellent! Loved the avocado toasts. The bread makes or breaks an avocado toast and this place does it right with a hearty healthy slice. Topped with sliced rather than mashed(excellent decision) and the proper toppings for what your flavor of choice was. Both the basil pine nut and hot honey was delicious. If we could have room for scones we would have bout them also. They looked delicious! Service was good but as visitors we were somewhat confused and questions were answered like we should have known the answer without asking. Only downside of the experience. We came here on Saturday, July 5, at about 8am and were pleasantly surprised! When you walk in you have the feel (and appearance) that you just arrived at a friend's house with this wonderful, big family room that has lots of windows. The Blueberry Scones were excellent as were the lattes. The only downside was that there were no GF options available at that time. (Well, the music was really a bit too loud as well.) So many scone options and they all looked great! The customer service was kind, respectful and maybe even delightful. I loved this little cafe when I first visited it at its location by the Temecula Promenade. I'm so happy to see them in Old Town now! Absolutely love their Cristo sandwich. I was intrigued when I saw that they offer "sconewiches" on their menu and couldn't deny the promise of a savory turkey sandwich featuring mango chutney.
