Always a pleasure to come in here!!! It's been a while and I needed it lol! Treated myself after a long stent of hard months of dealing with annoying people lol!!! Can't begin to tell you how nice it was to walk into this very clean, very beautiful location and just see flowers everywhere! They have a promotion going for Mother's Day where you can make your own bouquet and it was absolutely beautiful idea! I got the new flavors cupcakes and I bought my Neighbor one because she was nice enough to let me know that I left my light on inside of my car so my battery wouldn't die! I absolutely love this place because I'm always able to enjoy it and gift it to others! read more

The Cake Cottage - Caramel Apple Cupcake - Desserts Near Me - Murrieta, California

Accidentally came across this gem today! It's hidden off to the side of the shopping center where the post office and grocery outlet is. There wasn't any parking at the donut shop so we had to park further down. On our way back to our car he said hey did you know there's a cupcake shop? I said no, let's check it out! He knows I have a sweet tooth. We walked in and the shop is so cute! I was admiring their table and chairs. So stylish! The cupcakes are huge and so cutely decorated for the holidays. There were so many options I had a hard time choosing. I got a German chocolate cupcake for my mother in law because it's her favorite flavor cake. I had to get s'mores for my husband and kids cause they are fans of chocolate and marshmallows. I got the strawberry and cream cheese for myself. I almost got the caramel apple one and regretting that I didn't. Susan the owner was so nice and friendly! We had a lovely conversation and I'm always happy to support a female owned business! read more

The cupcakes are delicious. It is a small place and if you don't order ahead they may not have all menu options available. However, we have really enjoyed all the selections we have tried. They are pricy but worth it for a special occasion or treat. read more

absolutely loved this cupcake shop! From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the owner is incredibly friendly and helpful. The cupcakes themselves were amazing--perfectly moist, rich in flavor, and beautifully decorated. You can really tell they use high-quality ingredients and put a lot of care into their cupcakes. We ordered mini cupcakes previously and they were great! My personal favorite was the kahlua cupcake. It was done to perfection. If you're looking for a sweet treat or a place to brighten your day, this is definitely the spot. I'll be coming back again and again! read more

From Stephen Pratt & Mom Annette First, and most importantly, the cake that was made for my USC graduation was absolutely perfect - the design and certainly the most delicious cake I've ever had. I got the red velvet flavor and it was so moist and the best red velvet I've had! We will be a repeat customer!! Second, the owner was fully booked with several wedding cake orders around the time of my graduation and understandably had to decline my mom's request for my cake since we were ordering last minute. When my mom asked for recommendations as she wanted a USC cake for my surprise party, the owner immediately told my mom that her husband also graduated from USC and because of that USC family tie, she took on another cake to make this happen for my mom/me. My cake must have taken hours and this owner went above and beyond for me and my family. We will strongly recommend this cake company to anyone who needs a very tasty and professional looking cake! #fighton read more

We needed a unique cake for my niece's baby shower. I went to this place and based on memes Susan made a fun beautiful cake. It was a three tier. White/lemon. Chocolate!mousse. Chocolate/ganache. So incredibly delicious. I'm coming aback me y month for another event I have. There are many bakers that can make it pretty or make it taste great. Rare when you can do both. read more

Amazing little (large) cupcakes. Loved I was able to order for same day pick up and the attendant was even sweeter by meeting me at the door since I had a sleeping baby in the car. They were a hit too with the teenagers. read more

Sadly, disappointed. For $8+ a cupcake, I expected more. They are huge, that's for sure, so that is a plus. But, flavor wise, the one I had missed the mark. I purchased 3, but have only tried 1 so far: the Funfetti. Funfetti is a very recognizable name and taste. The cupcake could be called confetti, I suppose. The frosting tasted like buttercream, which Funfetti is not. Didn't taste as fresh as I would have expected either. I dunno. We will see how the other 2 fare. Shop was cute. People were friendly. read more

I wish I could give more than 5 stars. The service is amazing. They do custom cakes for events but keep fresh cupcakes out daily so you can stop by any time. My husband likes to try new things and different flavors. The owner picked out 6 amazing cupcakes. There is something there for everyone. The cupcakes are huge and probably 3 times the size of a normal cupcake so they are priced well since you are getting a lot. Definitely recommend stopping by for a treat or bringing to your next event. read more

The cupcakes are delicious. My grandson loves the sprinkle ones but what 5 year old doesn't love sprinkles. There are so many delicious flavors to meet your taste. I saw this place as i was drinking through the parking lot and thought "i love sweets let's see what's in here." I walk in and see cupcakes so we get three! Vanilla vanilla, peanut butter and strawberries and cream. It was $15.50 for 3 so about $4.50 a cake on average with tax. I would pay that for these. I would 100% go back. The man behind the counter was patient and kind with my two daughters and their changing minds. read more

First time we have patroned this establishment, we usually order birthday cakes from Baskin-Robbins or Bundtlets from Nothing Bundt Cakes, but we wanted to try something different. We've heard nothing but rave reviews for this sweet shop. I do like how you made it really easy to order online and offer same day pick up. Wanted to give a huge shout out to you all for going above and beyond our expectations, the cupcakes we ordered looked gorgeous and were delicious. Our family thoroughly enjoyed them, especially our birthday boy. Thank you also for letting my husband pick up our order without any hassles as apparently I had selected a GrubHub delivery. Not too sure how that happened as I selected the "pick-up in store" option. The cupcakes seem a little pricy, but they are very intricate with a lot of components and beautifully decorated on top of that, so I'm sure a lot of time is put in to creating each one. We also love that we have a new option for a birthday treat and that you have a pretty decent selection of flavors to choose from. The key lime and coconut cupcakes are my new favorites! read more

BEAT CUPCAKES EVER!!! No joke, forget about froufrou, overpriced Sprinkles. Cake Cottage has incredible, delectable creations. Any cupcake connoisseur will agree. And not only are they moist, delicious and gorgeous, they are huge! Every one is jumbo! So far we have tried: Kahlua and cream, carrot cake, pumpkin, German chocolate, chocolate dipped raspberry (OMG), key lime, peanut butter cup, and this month's specialty: cinnamon streusel (another OMG). They have a unique spin an each of their cupcakes. I make a habit of finding cupcakeries wherever we go. I've easily been to 50+ different places by now. To me, place is, hands down, the best I've had. read more

If I could leave negative stars I would do so. Planning a wedding during a worldwide pandemic and quarantine is stressful enough. We were working with Susan for our wedding cake (all correspondence electronically since quarantine) which clearly meant frequent correspondence many questions that typically would be able to ask in person. Then with just two months before our wedding backs out, refuses to respond or even have a phone conversation to straighten out any miscommunication because I questioned a $50 charge for delivery that is less than 10 miles away. Now we have to start over the entire process of tasting and design while in quarantine. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL!!! Go to a different baker that actually cares for people!!! Susan, your comment solidifies my statement actually as you are making comments of "my attitude" which you only are assuming via email. I said other vendors - not bakers. We have not been working with other bakers and have now been abandoned having to begin the entire cake tasting and hunt over again with just 2 months in the midst of a pandemic. I find it interesting that you couldn't respond to my email or request to discuss on the phone which you would have then been able to actually know me and hear that I didn't have an attitude but you have no problem attempting to bash me after I leave a negative review. Also, don't worry we won't be using "your design" which also was not a design on your page either. read more

MY FAVORITE! Not only does this place have the best cupcakes in town, they have the best I've EVER HAD. They are so fresh and bursting with flavor. My favorites are the piña colada and apple cinnamon. My husband is in love with the key lime cupcake (and he's not even a sweets guy!). My toddler loves the funfetti/sprinkles. Just go try one.... I stopped in this afternoon for something sweet. I ordered the carrot cake cupcake. It was amazing! The cake was very moist and I loved the flavor. The cream cheese frosting was ahh-mazing!!!!
