We found this place when looking for a new bakery to try. Turns out this place has meat pies and cakes, an amazing combo that is not easy to find. They have a huge selection of both, and offer many gluten free and vegetarian options as well which is rare. We ordered a bunch of savory and sweet pies to try out. They were super helpful as well, and gave some great recommendations. The atmosphere is simple but straight forward, and the pies we tried were a mix of delicious to just okay! However, the pies are very pricey for their size so forewarned.

They do several different quiches.

How did we find this? Our dental hygienist. She loves to talk about food whenever we come in for a cleaning. (Maybe job security?) And I really can not figure out how she stays so slender...my number one rule is to never trust a skinny person's food recommendations. But this time, I am dead wrong. The Yelp reviews were so mixed that I found it tough to muster the courage to buy from some place with such a wide range of reviews. Add to that, my entire life has evolved around really good pies. Mom (RIP) made the best, so I am exceedingly picky! But that is now a moot point. I think I have finally found the answer to my impossibly high expectations. Here. I hate that my husband thinks he wants to buy "one of each" when he makes a discovery such as this. His sweet tooth cravings are 2nd only to his Prime Rib addiction. I knew we were in big trouble when the lady running the front of this tiny brick and mortar store explained they actually have at least 150 different pies. Oh dear gawd! We were able to whittle it down 5 mini pies: peach, strawberry rhubarb, black bottom chocolate cream, key lime, and lastly, an artichoke dried tomato quiche. $15 ea. Yeah, not exactly cheap. But you might not understand. When you first walk in and your nose is assaulted by the extreme smell of the butter they put in everything, you know there is no turning back. My kids' inheritance just shrank. The crust? Tender and buttery. The fillings? Every doggone one of them was superb. Oh yes, we nibbled once we got home. Also, I must include that we took them up on their free sample offerings. We are no fools. I love that their fillings are not sweet. This way, the fruit and other fillings shine! They also are helpful, labeling their pies (and pie crust) options as gluten-free, vegan, and keto-friendly pies. And apparently, they are baking throughout the day. Our precious strawberry rhubarb (amazing!) was still hot. They also have a commercial refrigerator and freezer that hold many more pre-made items. They do a lot of their sales at very high-end Farmers' Markets, but we can be thankful there is this one permanent location that is open 6 days a week. Now go ahead, all you pie fanatics! This is a place you really shouldn't miss.

My husband and I have come here a couple of times and it never disappoints. The little shop has a couple of tables and is soon opening a dining area. The pies they serve are extensive from savory to dessert pies and they even offer gluten free, vegan and keto friendly pies. The menu list is massive. We enjoyed the chicken curry pie and this time we ordered the cheesecake with lemon curd pie, which is to die for! I've never really been a pie fan and the pies here are delicious! Service is always friendly and patient. We'll definitely be back!

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE these pies and ESPECIALLY ALL THE GLUTEN FREE CHOICES! These are gourmet pies, so they are very pricey (which is the ONLY thing preventing a full 5-star review for me)...but quality ingredients are expensive, and pie making is a true, true art. I love to splurge on these for special occasions. If you like crap, then yes, go buy the cheap junk elsewhere. But when you want a savory ( GF chicken pot pies, oh yes!) or sweet (the salted caramel apple is the absolute bomb) experience, then this is your place. They are awesome about offering samples, so I don't see why anyone has to purchase a "surprise". I can't wait until the cafe part opens. We are SO lucky to have this in our sweet little town.

Business hours

I would have loved to get a pie, but it seems the owners don't keep to their own posted hours. It's always frustrating when small businesses do this, I realize it might be a slow day but if you're going to list certain hours it's important to keep them, otherwise customers will learn you're unreliable and stick to big chains that can be trusted. If and when I'm able to get a pie I will update my review.

Small pie. $15. Large $35. Seems pricey but when compared not totally unreasonable. Expense's for small businesses are out of hand.

Food: 5 Service: 5…read moreAmbiance: 5 Hidden gem alert! Tucked into an unassuming strip mall, you would never guess such a sexy, sophisticated spot is sitting right in the middle of it all. From the moment we walked into Fugghedabout, we were stunned. The space is dark, sultry, lightly dimmed, and incredibly chic, something you'd never expect here. It has a very grown up, intimate vibe (21+ only), perfect for date night or a night out with friends. We were lucky enough to visit on a night with live music (they have it Tuesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays), and it completely set the mood. Even though it wasn't very busy, the energy was wonderful and the music was excellent. Service was top notch. Meghan was fantastic, friendly, attentive, accommodating, and so helpful throughout the meal. Faith, the owner, also stopped by several times to check on us, which earned major points. Such a sweet touch and much appreciated. Now the food... wow. We started with the seared scallop special topped with caviar, and it was outstanding, perfectly cooked, with the caviar adding just the right touch of saltiness. Honestly, we wanted to order more. The hot goat cheese with hot honey appetizer was delicious and so comforting. Definitely get extra bread, you'll want it. Since it was Taco Tuesday, we tried the taco trio with chicken, steak, and shrimp. The steak and shrimp were standouts. The chicken was slightly dry, but overall we really enjoyed them. And the biggest surprise of the night was the shrimp and sausage skillet. Absolutely incredible. So flavorful and rich, and again we needed more bread to soak up every bit of that delicious sauce. We also ordered the crème brûlée for dessert, which was good. The sugar topping was slightly thick, and I'll admit I'm a bit of a dessert snob, so while we enjoyed it, the meal itself was really the shining star of the night. I'm already dreaming about my next visit. I was genuinely impressed by everything, service, ambiance, food, and live music. This place is a whole vibe. Five stars all the way. Highly recommend for anyone looking for amazing food in a sultry, intimate setting. I've already recommended it to several friends. Thank you Meghan and Faith for such a great night. We'll definitely be back!

Fuhgeddaboudit! But my visit was so memorable that I will never forget about it!…read more Faith (owner) really has something special in Windomar, CA., just off of the Clinton Keith exit of Interstate 15. Imagine an elegant Wine Bar with dim lighting, an Old Skool atmosphere, and a wine list and menu of entrees and appetizers that will challenge any palate, compliments of Chef Orquedea. It was our first visit, arriving just as they opened, and having the whole romantic, classy speakeasy all to ourselves, our server Megan, made us feel right at home. Ensuring we received a little history about the establishment, the day's specials, and what some of their customers' favorites. To begin the experience, we received complimentary glasses of sparkling wine in celebration of their one-year anniversary, which was a nice touch. After a brief moment, we settled on sausage and three-cheese skillet appetizers with a house baguette. The two dishes arrived piping hot, gooey, and enticing! Amazingly delicious to say the least! Kudos to their place settings, glassware, and cloth napkins. Our selected wine was excellent as well, and the selection is very worldly and admirable. THIS is my favorite date place in the area!!! Chill, fashionable, comfortable seating, gorgeous bar, soft music in the background allowing for conversation, and the restroom provides a pleasant surprise as well. Hours of operation hover around Happy Hour and dinner, closing at 9 PM on weekdays and 10 pm on Friday and Saturday. Looking forward to enjoying their live entertainment and themed events in the future, at which time I will follow up on this review. Thank you, Faith, Megan & Orquedea for a wonderful time.--
