I love this bakery. It feels like it's less selections than other 85 degrees locations but still plenty to choose from. I love the egg tarts and all of their ube pastries. My girls love all the chocolate pastries. Their boba is really good and our good to when we have a boba craving. There's plenty of seating , I just wish they'd come to the dining area to clean the tables a little more often. Lines aren't too long but in the times I've gone, the wait to pay is about 5-10 mins. There's a drink order kiosk that's pretty convenient to use also. read more

Yikes!! This place needs help. High traffic business means keeping up with the demands of it to ensure the store is orderly and clean, and today, 85° fell short in a huge way. All tables needed to be bussed, floors needed sweeping and mopping, bathrooms were atrocious with wet floors and counters, trash needed to be taken out and napkins and other condiments needed restocking. Thank goodness the drinks and danishes were good, otherwise, it would've been a complete disaster! Also, and just an observation: the employees look miserable. That doesn't say anything except that management isn't creating a fun environment for employees to work. It's very apparent this place is NOT being managed very well. read more

Located in the Tower Plaza Center (right off the 15 FWY) next to 88 Ranch Marketplace with plenty of parking. This Taiwanese Bakery Café has an impressive variety, ranging from espresso and milk teas to fresh cakes, desserts, and pastries/breads. I picked up a few of their individually wrapped treats; the Taro Roll and Sugar Cream Cheese were highlights, super fresh and fluffy. I stopped by 85°C Bakery late at night--about 30-40 minutes before closing--and was honestly so impressed. They still had a great selection of fresh baked goods, which isn't always the case that close to closing time. The store was super clean, and the service was amazing. Their boba drinks are pretty decent, and I like how this location has 2 kiosks just for ordering drinks, which makes it a lot more convenient. Worst customer service I have experienced at an 85C location. Ordered, paid, then became invisible. Asked for a napkin, got ignored. Asked a second employee, she said yes and never came back. The entire time, multiple staff members were in the back gossiping. They made eye contact with me, knew I was waiting, and kept talking anyway. A napkin takes five seconds. This is not about being understaffed, it is about employees who do not care. Management should watch their own cameras and see how customers are treated after the money changes hands. read more

So happy this location opened recently! We frequent the AMC theatre so is nice to have 85 right next door. The cafe is mid sized, with tables in side and a large front counter. When you first walk in the food items are to your right, middle and left, and there's also a drink ordering machine at the entrance. There's normally a staff person refilling the food items constantly, which is really nice because popular items sell out all throughout the day. I loved their strawberry specials they had recently, the cakes, the drinks, so good. Breads are awesome and fresh and the drinks are customizable to your taste for ice, sweetness, etc. The counter staff are not the friendliest but they are quick and get the job done! I was able to attend their grand opening event for Temecula back in Sept 2024, and stopped by again because I was craving their pastries. Their baked good section are always neatly organized and on display, with clean tongs and plastic trays that customers can use to place their items on. My favorites so far are the Hokkaido Custard Bun, Marble Taro, Premium Milk, and Pork Sung Bun. My partner likes their savory breads like Spinach Kale Danish and Spicy Sausage. Overall, 85 Degrees in Temecula was great and reminded me of other locations such as Irvine and Hawaii. It's nice that we have one here now, so we can easily get access to awesome breads and cakes! read more

LIMITED SELECTION & POOR PICK-UP SERVICE... I was a little stunned when I arrived at this 85 Bakery as it was a little cramped and some of the service could've been better. I walk in and people are close to bumping in to eachother just to grab their bakery selection off the shelf. One of the shelves is literally by the door! This location is smaller, but it's too compact. There's tons of seating but not enough room for the main event (the bakery). I was a little disgruntled with the dude placing our orders on the pick-up counter. He NEVER called out our names to alert us that the drinks were ready and he seemed to be scared of the customers. He didn't acknowledge anyone, he simply placed our items on the counter and ran away. I did not vibe with this dude at all (he's the tall Asian dude, if you're wondering). I'm an introvert too, I get it, but this was not cool. On the other hand, I want to give a major shoutout to the gentleman running the cash register, he was super polite and helpful. Most importantly, he knew how to talk to customers! I will praise Temecula's 85 Bakery for its cleanliness and tidiness. I'm so glad that Temecula has its own 85C. I grew up near here and I am old enough to remember when Temecula was a "small" city with limited food options. These days Temecula has really stepped up their restaurants! And this 85C has so many pastries every time I come in here! I always end up spending at least $30 in food, not because it's expensive (the pastries are sooooooo cheap!) but because it's hard not to get at least 5 different treats here! Definitely love this place for me and for my parents who loved 85C ever since I introduced it to them when I lived in Irvine back in 2008. I hope they stay here forever! read more

Saturday. 11-02-2024: I am in love with this bakery! I have been back and forgot to take photos. This place gets crowded quickly since it's not very spacious. It is, however, very clean and bright. I enjoyed the chicken pesto sandwich while hubby savored the tuna salad sandwich. The variety of items is vast and I think reasonably priced. I love that the pastries are not overly sweet and more savory. I forgot which Boba drink I ordered but I know I enjoyed it. The staff is very friendly and check out is quick & easy. I'm not really sure what is going wrong here but the drinks are not it. I have been to plenty of 85° cafes to know how the drinks really taste and they don't even taste remotely close to other locations. Please fix this. The boba is also not good. It's burnt and overcooked. No flavor, no sweetness. It clumps and sticks together at the bottom of my drink. The baked goods are pretty consistent to other locations. read more

I've been to multiple 85°C Cafes, and they truly never disappoint. I've always loved their drinks, and their pastries are absolutely delicious--some of the best I've ever had. Since being recently diagnosed with Celiac disease, it's definitely been a challenge. I'll admit, every now and then I still treat myself to something sweet from here. It's all still so new to me, and the transition hasn't been easy--especially when a place like 85°C has been part of my go-to routine for so long. Their baked goods were a favorite of mine even before my diagnosis, so passing by without grabbing one is tough. But I go mainly for the drinks now, and I'll always have a soft spot for this place. I usually go weekdays to avoid the crowd on weekends as it reminds me of the one in Hacienda Heights that was crowded no matter what day it was. I come for my favorite pastries and have yet to get the drinks. They are fast in getting you out. Very accommodating if you ask them for anything. My family have been 85° Bakery fans for sometime since discovering their various retail locations in both Southern Calif. & tge SF Bay Area. It was really wonderful to see a retail location open in Temecula, CA which is so much closer to our home! This location is located in a shopping center that has plenty of parking. Road construction on the Southbound direction of Ynez Road poses some delays entering and exiting the parking lot, that should be ending soon hopefully. I walked into a very clean and spacious location on a recent Friday around Noon. It was pretty busy with folks holding their trays of selected baked goodness while perusing all of the available items offered the day I was there. There are two kiosks for ordering your beverages as you enter this store, and a very spacious indoor seating area to enjoy your purchase(s) on-site as well as several picnic style tables and benches outside to use. On this trip, I purchases the Matcha Chocolate Buns, Chocolate Chip Bowl, Chocolate Cookie Bread, a Coconut Twist and a Lemon Sugar Brioche. The young lady who rang up my purchase, Genelle, was so polite, friendly and welcoming to this location once she learned I always frequent the Orange County locations and this was my first time here. All were fresh, tasty and deeply soul satisfying. We really enjoy Asian style baked goods and desserts since they are often less sweet than European and American desserts. Since I recently just tried and now love Vietnamese Coffee (thanks to Da Vien Coffee-Westminster and Garden Grove, CA) I saw that it is offered here. Irvine and San Diego is much better compared to here that's where I've been going for years, got excited that there's 1 finally in Temecula but that fizzled out quick because they don't keep all signature buns in stock and keep it restocked throughout the days... Frida is far too slow to be working in that field I had almost waited 29 mins on multiple visits for drinks when she was working. Finally, an 85 Degrees bakery in Temecula!! This location is connected to the 88 Ranch Supermarket. The layout of this store is horrible!! Not only is it fairly small as compared to other 85 Degrees locations I've been to, but it's super crowded inside! There is only ONE (yes, 1) door to enter in & exit from, which i think is abhorrent, considering how extremely busy it is here. I like all of the breads/pastry offerings they have, as well as the cakes and other miscellaneous treats. Today, we got the Ube Creme Cake. That was yummy and I will definitely get it again next time, since I love ube!! I know they JUST opened about a month ago, but the flow needs to be better. read more

I came back a week later to pick to the cake I ordered. This time, I dropped a star because there was a long line and i asked the barista if i should get in line to pick up my cake. She said yes. I went over to someone stocking the shelves and she said to wait by the cake section. Soon enough someone comes right out and helps me! I ordered the 8inch mango creme cake. They wrote on a white piece of chocolate "Happy Birthday but didn't attach it to the cake. Instead it was placed in a plastic bag on top of the box. The chocolate broke in half somehow! The cake was falling apart by the time we sang happy birthday. It might be that we transported it any 11/2 hours. I can't fault them for that. Some of the mangos on the cake were hard as a rock. Temecula has done us a huge favor (disservice?) and opened its own 85 Degree Bakery! Boy, have we missed our treats from the Irvine location and this new spot does NOT disappoint! A free sea salt coffee awaits when you sign up for their app and the creamy, salty whip on top of their rich, frosty cold brew is just what I needed this morning! Flo opted for a caramel coffee smoothie which he instantly said was better than any Starbucks free reward coffee he was able to think up. The fact that they can put lighting in a cup with the strength of their espresso then blend it with silky caramel and homemade whipped cream to make it super delicious for someone who isn't too into strong java is magic in itself! Of course we had to indulge in the fresh baked treats too! Our bakery tray was filled with a menagerie of delightful bites.. cinnamon rolls, sugared cream cheese brioche buns, chocolate mousse cups, butter wreaths, salted caramel cookies, ube breads... I am SO GLAD we live just far enough to not come here every day! Customer service was not there. Service super slow only one unfriendly cashier. And we got two strawberry matcha drinks and this short Hispanic gal was so rude to tell us to look on the cup to see if it's our order, there's a bunch of numbers on there and was super confused, why ask our names if they don't put them on there. I went here 3 times within the past 2 weeks. We had a lot of birthdays to celebrate. Cakes are beautiful and delicious at a good price around $35 without tax. The pastries have been delicious. I haven't had anything I didn't like so far. Prices are decent and can add up lol If you download the app, you can earn rewards and you get a free coffee. The point system seems decent as I've already earned a free drink. There are also discount offers! The store is clean and organized. The line can get really long and they close kind of early at 5pm. I was trying not to go in here too soon since it just opened and the crowds are still coming in. However, I was in the area passing through and decided to check it out. You know my soul purpose of going in was to get more of those Hokkaido Mochi Milk Mooncakes, but they were all gone! =( The lady said they probably won't get anymore. I'm bummed, but glad I at least got to taste it thanks to the Balboa location. The selection here is just like any other 85°C Bakery Cafe. Since this is a brand spankin' new one, the goods go fast. The shelves were about 3/4 filled around 3 pm. The dining room is spacious and they also have the drink ordering kiosks near the front entrance. It's a casual dine-in spot for pastries, cookies, cakes and drinks. The prices run pretty even with competitors. Parking can be a hassle in this area, especially with one of the area's largest Asian stores right next door. I'll be stopping by here occasionally, but hopefully only during non-peak times.
