This spot has got to be one of my favorite bakeries I've visited this year and I can see why it's a local favorite! We stopped here on the way home from Pechanga while charging our Tesla and since it was in the same plaza, we figured we'd check it out. I assumed it was more of a franchise bakery than a standalone artisan spot, so I came in with pretty low expectations. I was just planning to grab a cinnamon roll, a loaf of their Cinnamon Burst Bread and a quick sandwich for the drive home. To my surprise, their house-made sandwiches are served on freshly baked bread, made with fresh ingredients, and cost under $10 (Panera could never!!!). Their baked goods were also reasonably priced with generous portions. We picked up the Cinnamon Burst Bread, a cinnamon roll, a honey bran muffin (which completely stole the show for me; it was incredibly moist and I'd come back just for that) and an almond poppy seed scone. The service here was just as impressive. Everyone was so friendly and personable and you could tell they genuinely enjoyed being there. I also loved their "Giving Rack," where anyone in need can take free baked goods. It's such a thoughtful idea and says a lot about the kind of business they are. This is easily one of my favorite bakery finds and it'll definitely be a regular stop whenever I'm back in the area. read more

This is a unique bakery / sandwich shop in Temecula. I came in for lunch and it was busier than I thought it would be. Luckily I was able to snag a small table. Menu was diverse, but it's like a sandwich at Sprouts. It's very good, but nothing over-the-top gourmet. Went there today and the Cinnamon Roll is not as good as before. It use to be one of my favorites.its much smaller and just not the same. Sourdough bread was just ok. Located at a strip mall by the CVS & Baron's Market, this is a good place to stop by for delicious, freshly made bread, baked goods or a sandwich. Walking in this cute, eclectic store, there's so many choices of not only their menu items and baked goods, but they have various packaged mixes and jams, which would be great for gifts. There's also seating inside to dine-in. We went on Tuesday morning around 9:30am and it was empty. The girls at the counter were very friendly and helpful in explaining what the various baked goods were. We tried their Cinnamon Rolls, both plain & iced. Both were good, a bit chewy and the filling reminiscent of a Cinnabon. Their Blueberry Cream Cheese Scone was delicious, even though I wouldn't have known there was cream cheese in it. And the Cinnamon Burst Bread was my favorite. It was soft and the pieces of cinnamon chips were just the right amount of sweetness. IMO it tastes good on its own without adding anything to it. Wow So years ago I started having stomach issues with "gluten" so I just started not eating bread or pasta . But something just didn't seem right about it all. So I researched and found if I had pasta made the old way in Italy , I had zero problems . So recently I tried eating bread again and bought two different supermarket loaves . Horrible , besides being foam rubber to eat. Same gut problems . So I thought if going back to old methods worked on pasta , woukd it work in breads and that led me to Great Harvest Bread company . Great made just with a few simple ingredients the old fashioned way. Now I don't want "heathy multi grains and all that. I want white bread like mom made. So I got their Honey White and also an Italian herb loaf . The white I got in the traditional loaf form . Bagged in paper not plastic Wow , I forgot how good bread was. Soft texture with a nice crust. Air pocket and you could still smell the yeast. I got home and made a sandwich and it was the best sandwich I've had in years m. This is exactly what I wanted. I was so overwhelmed by all the options and had no idea where to begin. When you walk in, you see local honey, maple, olive oil, jam, cookies. When you approach the counter, you see fresh muffins and scones on display. Behind the counter were racks of freshly baked bread. Everyday is something special and some breads are only available on certain days. I asked for the most popular and Cassandra was so lovely. She immediately asked if I had extra time and started to slice samples of the Cinnamon Burst and the Roasted Garlic Rosemary Sourdough. Delicious. I ended up buying one of each. The cinnamon burst was this round fluffy soft cinnamon raisin bread. I could have finished the entire roll on my hour drive home but had to contained myself. I am not a fan of sourdough but the garlic rosemary sourdough was different. I tasted the herb and spices right away. Great with butter or spreads. Something about eating fresh baked bread. So fresh that we couldn't bag the item until it cooled down. Cassandra included a bread bag for when it cools down. It's baked daily so there are no preservatives and can be freeze to make it last longer. Some left over day old breads were available, those were packaged and tied up. The bakery is small and quaint which results in feeling squished when the line gets long but the bread is sooo good I will wait and get cozy in line their regular sourdough is so soft! I've tried the apple cinnamon and shared with family and they devoured it within the day. The staff offered me a sample of their cinnamon burst loaf.. I think it's called and I was very impressed. It tasted like a churro. I glanced at some of their boxed pastries and was impressed and surprised to see the list of ingredients and I didn't notice artificial or preservatives which I noted because I would super appreciate if that is in fact the case!
