Excellent service and people. I think Melos himself is very nice and definitely enthusiastic about his business. I came bc all the pictures looked yummy! I really wanted to try the birria with panini press on white or jalepeno bread, but this morning they didn't have anything I wanted! Since its not the season for birria yet at their shop, I decided a roast. However, the roast beef guy didn't come yet with the roast. Soooooo, I opted for a turkey to substitute for the roast. I asked for extra mayo and no tomatoes with grilled onions. This sandwich was soooooo delicious! For a quick dessert I decide to get a cookie with ice cream. I wanted waffles, but they were out. I'm sure it just wasnt made yet. I was there very early. My ice cream was good but my cookie was too hard. Next time ill get the waffles! It's one of the hottest days in Temecula, after antiquing my daughter and said let's get a couple of sandwiches. We walked in and it was hot, really hot. Those poor guys where there toughening it out when they lost their ac earlier in the day. I said well let's get them to go order and waited outside. We can back in right as they were finishing our sandwiches. The owner gave us bottle water and then offered us a scoop of their yummy pumpkin ice cream! Amazing! Absolutely delicious. Saturday, 9-27-2025: We were craving these sandwiches after our grandson's soccer game. When we entered it was in a little disarray as there was a very bright, expansive mural in the progress of being painted. Staff were welcoming & friendly. Unfortunately, no Gabriel. We ordered our usual faves: Little Melo Sandwich & Tuna Salad Sandwich. It was served rather quickly for which we were grateful because we were starving. I LOVE MELOS!!! So I live in San Diego but I come over here craving these sandwiches. For real the best sandwiches ever! And the ice cream is supper good and unique Turns out that each time we've come in, we've actually been helped out by the owner Melo himself! He's extremely kind and you can see the love he has for his business and each costumer. This place is fun too! It has spots to take pictures and my favorite, a chalk board where you can just draw what ever. Plus there a tv that plays bmx and other interesting sports and the music is always good. How have I not yet written the review about Melo's?! my kids love this place and so do I. We first came here with friends one hot day after school for ice cream. I fell in love with a flavor called Fat Elvis because who can't?? Decided I needed to come back with my son and so on a half day from school, I bring both kids in for a sandwich and ice cream. We're chatting with the nice young man who is serving us and learned that he is in fact, Melo! The kids are now thrilled to know that they've met the owner and when we find him on Instagram, the children are now buzzing with excitement that they know someone who is "famous". Just went the for lunch at 12:30 on a Saturday and it was such a weird/odd experience. The sandwich was pretty, good, nothing amazing, but it was good. We got the Italian sub. The place was empty....at mid lunch on a Saturday. Looked like 2 staff members and were both in the back until one person greeted us and we said we needed some time to look at the menu. We were left out front for a solid 4-5 minutes waiting for her to come back and take our order. Odd sized table and booth setup.....you'll see what I mean if you go there. There was 1 single brownie in a 4 inch display right in front of where you order. I think I wanted one but had no clue if it was real/fake of for sale or not. It was just weird. A juice machine with 3 options for juice and 2 of them completely empty and the one with juice in it was 10% full. Machine also made a chirping sound and not really pleasant when sitting inside eating. We are locals and were hoping this place was going to be great because we never heard of it......but....eh.
