Saturday, 9-27-2025: We were craving these sandwiches after our grandson's soccer game. When we entered it was in a little disarray as there was a very bright, expansive mural in the progress of being painted. Staff were welcoming & friendly. Unfortunately, no Gabriel. We ordered our usual faves: Little Melo Sandwich & Tuna Salad Sandwich. It was served rather quickly for which we were grateful because we were starving. As before, sandwiches were scrumptious, the bread was to die for! We really enjoyed it very much! Their ice cream is so good. Great dining experience. We're fans. read more

Our sandwiches were AMAZING! We would definitely recommend go there to try it out! We devoured our sandwiches (the Gusto and the Roast)! We would go there again in a heartbeat and tryout other sandwiches! The bread was amazing as well. Next time I will try out the cheese and jalapeño bread! Great sandwich shop. My husband and I ordered the club and we both loved it. Next time I would ask for mustard as well. My daughter ordered the Italian sub and loved hers as well. We had a great experience here, and our daughter enjoyed the chalk wall! Customer service was great & the ice cream samples were delicious but we didn't have much room after devouring our sandwiches, which were excellent. Music choice was very nice as well. We were in town for a soccer tournament and needed a fast lunch. We ordered ahead of time for a pick up but got there about 30 minutes early. The guy (sorry I didn't get his name) made our order right away getting us out and back on the road quickly. Service was incredibly thoughtful and kind. He even gave us all very generous ice cream samples. The sandwiches were amazing. Great flavor and generous servings. We got the spicy Italian, panini pressed on the jalapeño roll, so good Will definitely stop here again the next time we are in town. read more

How have I not yet written the review about Melo's?! my kids love this place and so do I. We first came here with friends one hot day after school for ice cream. I fell in love with a flavor called Fat Elvis because who can't?? Decided I needed to come back with my son and so on a half day from school, I bring both kids in for a sandwich and ice cream. We're chatting with the nice young man who is serving us and learned that he is in fact, Melo! The kids are now thrilled to know that they've met the owner and when we find him on Instagram, the children are now buzzing with excitement that they know someone who is "famous". Every time they get a good grade on a test or wanna celebrate something the request is always can we go to mellows. They want to say hi and enjoy how he looks after them ,letting them try different flavors occasionally get some to sample some new fun thing he's been working on. Everything is fresh. Just went the for lunch at 12:30 on a Saturday and it was such a weird/odd experience. The sandwich was pretty, good, nothing amazing, but it was good. We got the Italian sub. The place was empty....at mid lunch on a Saturday. Looked like 2 staff members and were both in the back until one person greeted us and we said we needed some time to look at the menu. We were left out front for a solid 4-5 minutes waiting for her to come back and take our order. Odd sized table and booth setup.....you'll see what I mean if you go there. There was 1 single brownie in a 4 inch display right in front of where you order. I think I wanted one but had no clue if it was real/fake of for sale or not. It was just weird. A juice machine with 3 options for juice and 2 of them completely empty and the one with juice in it was 10% full. Machine also made a chirping sound and not really pleasant when sitting inside eating. We are locals and were hoping this place was going to be great because we never heard of it......but....eh. Local small business right off of Temecula Parkway worth a visit and many returns. The family stopped by here a while back for sandwiches and ice cream. I remember the sandwiches A Club Sub minus the bacon and a The Roast sandwich. Both memorable and the kids liked the ice cream!. Tonight I had the opportunity to taste the ice cream which I hadn't the last visit. I had the fat Elvis and the strawberry cheesecake, both very good! The owner is a nice young man. Wonderful local spot with fresh, allergy friendly, and flavorful sandwiches and ice cream. Had tuna on squaw and roast beef on panini sourdough (the garlic aioli is a must). Both sandwiches were well-balanced flavors and the bread was soft and fresh. Ice cream is a must! Flavor combinations are soo fun. The variety of allergy friendly ice creams is incredible!!! There was hardly standing room inside so you know the food is going to be great. Unfortunately I didn't snap any photos but wow that was a GREAT sandwich. The bread was so fluffy and tasted so fresh. The surprise of a chocolate chip cookie and the pickle was the icing on the cake. I wish this spot had been around when I lived in Old Town but now I know where to go when I'm nearby!

They would pause their work to pay attention to what was happening on the screen instead of focusing on customers and food preparation. The employees also seem very inattentive and reluctant to interact with customers. It often feels like they're more interested in watching movies and collecting a paycheck than providing service. The food is good, but the customer experience suffers because the staff appears distracted, disengaged, and uninterested in doing their jobs. I'd gladly return for the sandwiches, but management needs pay more attention to what the employees are doing during their shifts. I can't imagine what happens in the back given this is how they act in front of people.

The workers are usually really chill and get your order done pretty fast, even when it's busy. It can get a little crowded during lunch hours, but it usually moves quick so it's not a big deal. And plus with a good ambiance inside, even when it's just, it's still enjoyable. Overall it's just a really solid spot when I want something quick, filling, and actually good.

Spacious as hell, proper New York deli that moonlights as a 70s rock dive -- screaming reds and greens, green booths, wooden tables, tiled floors, the whole retro package you see in the pics. The playlist was gloriously all over the place in the best way -- Contemporary Christian one minute, 2019 pop bangers the next, basically spanning six decades of straight fire. Meat stacked stupid high, provolone doing its melty thing, then they buried the whole thing under an avalanche of fresh, snapping shredded lettuce and threw in those glossy peppers on the side like a mic drop. I pass this place all the time and just have not got to stop. well I finally did last night. My kids loved the ice cream. I ordered a sandwich for my husband for work last night and he said it was definitely one of the better from around town. He said the bread was really soft and the whole thing tasted very fresh. The kids really did enjoy the ice cream more than cold stone or other places. They are already asking to go back! it definitely is a little more pricey than a chain, but that was to be expected. It was still a really fair price. We were greeted as soon as we walked in and the staff was very welcoming. It was a acute and quite setting that felt very inviting and calm. Where to begin?! Super Good, High Quality, yummy food! We shared a club sub on the French roll, a broccoli cheddar soup, & strawberry hibiscus agua fresca! Everything was soooooo delicious. Afterwards, we couldn't not get a scoop of ice cream after seeing the variety of scrumptious flavors! After a few samples my daughter settled on "smore to love" and enjoyed every bite! I also loved their "Giving Rack," where anyone in need can take free baked goods. It's such a thoughtful idea and says a lot about the kind of business they are. I got the Benny special : Mortadella, Capocollo, Salami, and pepperoni with all the toppings. Btw I added the pesto mayo. It was DELICIOUS! My wife for the chicken avocado. Also so good!!! I love that you can choose other options like beef jerky and trail mix instead of chips as your only option. Solid restaurant. We will 100% be back!!
