Oboba Tea is a newish boba shop near Press Espresso & Kitchen, 88 Ranch, and 85 Degrees. I stopped by wanting to try out their drink and also cash in on their free croffle giveaway on Temecula Talk FB Group. The free croffle was really delicious (5/5) with a rich buttery flaky croissant covered in tiramisu cream and oreo crumble. My partner who never had a croffle before and also impartial to sweets loved it a lot! However, the mango and strawberry yogurt drinks were lacking in thickness (3/5). I was hoping that it would be like kefir but it was more of a yogurt flavored dairy (?) drink. I wouldn't mind coming back to try other drinks but probably will not get what I ordered again. read more

It's a super cute little hole in the wall. Honestly, if we hadn't googled it first, we probably would not have noticed it. When you walk in, it has a super cozy vibe to it that makes you just want to get comfortable. My niece and nephew definitely did. My niece loved the egg shaped swing chair and my nephew got comfy on one of the sofas. There is also a fun little claw machine too. Ordering was a little confusing as all their food items are under desserts even though we didn't order desserts. We wanted the onigiris and the Korean garlic buns. The onigiris were listed, but the buns were not, so we weren't even sure if they still had them. The cashier let us know that they did and he helped us order those. They were so yummy and 3 of them was the perfect amount to have. We ate them before even thinking of taking a picture ‍ Same with the onigiri. Both are vegetarian friendly and delicious! The bestie and I are definitely going to come back and try out all the yummy desserts they offer next time. We just were not ready this time around. This place is cute and decorated and they have some couches and chairs you can sit and chill. The two times I visited, I was not greeted at all. I didn't even see anyone working and so I ordered from the kiosk. The kiosk is easy to order from and has each drink description and you can modify the drinks. I tried the matcha strawberry and was VERY disappointed. I'm big on matcha and seeing how the drink turned brown after mixing, it just tasted like weird strawberry milk. No matcha flavor at all. Their fruit teas weren't bad. Had to get them 50% sweet because even with half, it was still sweet. I'm not a fan of their boba. It's very squishy but hard at the same time? The inside was very cute, the employee was friendly, however my drink was awful unfortunately. Never in my life have I tasted a sea salt coffee that tasted like barbecue sauce. The puffle was good, however. I think they just need to train their staff better on the recipes or fix the recipes. read more

When you're looking at the building, the entrance is on the left side up the ramp. Once you turn the corner, it's the first business on the left. The decorations are very cute and homey. Pop Asian music plays in the background which makes it feel very upbeat. You have the option to order at the self-service kiosk. The wait time was good and staff friendly. The Millie Crepe Cake was delicious, well presented, and packaged carefully for takeout. I am however, very bummed with the boba drink I ordered. I got the Taro Brown Sugar, 50% ice, 100% sweet level, Crème Brûlée Crème, and boba. Although prepared accurately, the boba was not of good texture nor flavor. The boba itself is what makes the drink since it's what I look forward to when taking sips. The boba was very mushy. Not sure if it was due to being overcooked or old. It was just a disappointment to discover after driving away and after paying $9 for that single item. I'll give their drinks another try in the future. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THE MOCHI DONUTS. My partner and I decided to come here for dessert. The location is kind of hidden. We got there a little past 9 PM and upon arrival it looked closed. Inside it was cute but it was uncomfortably hot inside for some reason I think they need to fix their AC; otherwise, there's no excuse for that. We were greeted by the workers and I kind of felt bad for the workers due to the heat inside. I ordered from the kiosk, which was fast. Unfortunately, it took 20 minutes to receive our order. On top of that, the mochi donuts were inedible. They looked nice, but tasted hard and stale. This is unacceptable considering they were $10 and it took 20 minutes to receive. We took one bite and that was it! I probably should've went back to return them but we took them to go and I doubt the young adults behind the counter would know what to do. I already felt bad for the conditions they had to work under because it was hot in there. One of them was sweating too! read more

Cute place! I got a matcha milk tea and it had good flavor. I also ordered a Kimchi fried rice ball. It was pretty good and flavorful but a little small for the price. I ordered on the kiosk and didn't wait too long for my order. My friend ordered the mochi bubble waffle and it was really good! It was warm and not dry or burnt. Only thing that I would suggest to make it even better is to add an ice cream scoop to it instead of whipped cream. Also, they have restrooms outside that need a code. read more

I was sourily disappointed here. The worker, possibly the owner, was kind and helpful, but she actually forgot my creme brulee. I ordered the waffle cone that came with strawberries, and inside of it were corn flakes. My complaint on this was that the waffle cone was overcooked, burnt and hard on most areas and since she charged me 1.50 for creme brulee and I didn't get it, ofc that would not make me happy. The milk tea was fine. She gave me a sample. Since it might have been too sweet or not sweet enough. I will come again and give the place another chance. Super cute place in it's own little building in the corner of a shopping plaza, but not a fan of their drinks, or at least the ones that we got. The default sweetness levels were way too sweet for us, but I think lowering the sweetness wouldn't make a difference as it had very artificial tasting flavors, but I appreciated the blushing sunset at least had some fruits in it. The tea flavor is very faint as well, almost nonexistent so it just tasted like juice or syrup water They had just opened up almost 2 months ago so they still have time to improve and tweak their recipes, it's a very cute place to hang out with friends though and there's a lot of drink varieties so you're bound to find something you like read more

Absolutely disappointed with Oboba Tea. I waited 40 minutes for just two drinks, with only three groups ahead of me. How does that make sense? I ordered a green tea with boba, and it was just as disappointing. The tea was weak, the boba wasn't sweet, and to top it off, they charge extra if you ask for less ice. What a joke. With so many other boba shops around, I won't be wasting my time or money here again. ---- I'm not able to reply to the owner's message for some reason so I'll just edit here. I understand that it can get busy, but a 40-minute wait for two drinks with only three groups ahead is excessive, especially without any updates unless we went up to ask. Better communication would have gone a long way. As for the tea, I appreciate the offer to remake it, but I didn't ask because I had already left with my drinks after waiting so long.....understandably, I didn't want to wait any longer. The green tea was weak, and the boba lacked flavor and it was super mushy, definitely not what I expected. I also noticed that staff weren't greeting customers at all, not those of us who were already waiting, nor those who came in and stood at the register to order. We tried Oboba Tea and ordered a simple Oolong Milk Tea with boba. The cashier asked me if I liked my tea strong and I said yes. I was holding my baby as I ordered and the cashier asked me if I was still nursing, to which I hesitantly said yes. The cashier said "I don't recommend you drink strong tea if you're nursing." They proceeded to make my drink extra sweet despite having asked my preference. I believe it is out of line to make the drink on what they believe is "better" for the customer based on their personal judgement. I was disappointed because I didn't get what I was expecting and felt insulted that I would be asked a personal question that would impact how my drink was made. The space is cute and has a swing chair that my baby enjoyed but it is a small area and quite hidden. Based on the quality of the tea and the service by the cashier I don't think I will be returning to Oboba Tea. read more

Really good boba drinks! :) I got the Blushing Sunset (without raspberry) and boba. It was really refreshing and tasty! The bobarista was really nice and offered us a tray of different drinks for us to sample. We really appreciated it because it was our first time there ^_^ The boba shop was so cute and aesthetic! Time is currently 7:17. On the website AND on the glass door it states that Oboba Tea closes at 10:00pm sharp! How come I walk up to the door and it's pitch black, no lights on in sight or even a worker for a place that supposedly closes at 10pm??? UNACCEPTABLE!!! Ordered three drinks and two crepe cake slices, which were all pretty good! I will say the crepe cakes were not exactly the texture I expected (they are a little more gritty than soft) but I did enjoy the fresh strawberry slices on top. The matcha caramel latte as well as the matcha ube latter are both great if you're a matcha lover. The boba was soft and chewy, which I loved. We got our order pretty fast (under 10 minutes) which was great especially for so few people working. The lady who helped us was super sweet and friendly, as well as informative! Although it's located in an area that it doesn't seem like it'd be in, the inside is so so cute, and looks amazing! Super clean. I've been here 3 times just to give it a fair chance as it's a new boba spot in the area. I really only go to boba spots for classic black milk tea with boba so this review might not be relevant if you like different types of teas or drink. the boba is always a bit too soft for my preference but not bad, just softer than most places. And the black milk tea (OBOBA milk tea) is just a weird flavor - does not taste like black tea or any normal tea flavor. It's just like a weird artificial milk flavor or something, I can't describe it. The first two times I tried the Oboba milk tea and confirmed- yep it's just an odd flavor, almost like it's not made with any tea at all? Just sweetened milk. And I ordered 25% sweetness! the last time I went I tried something different - the brown sugar fresh milk tea. I liked this one a lot better but it's SO sweet. I ordered 50% sweet and not sure if that was missed or if it's just an extremely sweet drink but damn I had to water it down at home haha. If I go back to this spot it'll just be out of convenience being near by and I would get brown sugar fresh milk with boba but 25% sweetness and would never get the Oboba milk tea because it's not classic black milk tea at all. read more

I stopped by on a Friday afternoon for a snack and was pleasantly surprised to find this hidden gem. I stopped by with a friend and we ended up getting drinks and a snack. The tea was really good, especially on a hot day. I forgot the name of the tea that I got, but the cashier was super friendly and even recommended adding in some aloe without additional charge. She even let me try a sample of it first before ordering, which was super nice! I ended up going with it, and it was a perfect pair! The rice balls were a bit pricier, but the kimchi has a good flavor along with some gooey and melty cheese inside. I was also surprised to hear that the bulgolgi was vegetarian, and I honestly couldn't tell! The rice balls were both crunchy on the outside and nice and soft on the inside, with some great flavors! The kimchi's spice is very light as well! The location itself was very cute, with lots of seating and open windows. It definitely gave me cute anime-type vibes. The seating is a bit low, though. I wouldn't recommend it for eating a whole meal or sitting to work for a while. Overall, I really enjoyed it and will probably be back to try their boba too! read more

This place is truly big-city caliber boba in TEMECULA! Coming from someone who lived in SD for 5 years and also spent a good amount of time in OC and NYC, I really was blown away by the quality of the drinks here. The yogurt tastes rich and tart and creamy, and the strawberry yogurt had so many delicious chunks of strawberry at the bottom. The ingredients in these drinks really do taste high quality, might honestly have been the best strawberry yogurt from a boba shop I've ever had. Boba was nice and soft and chewy. Had a friend who tried the taro milk and also said it was one of the best. The store interior is also incredibly cute and the more you look the more fun it is with bears swinging on chandeliers and hanging chairs and cute plants and plushies everywhere. I stopped by on a Tuesday afternoon wanting to try their bubble waffles- they ran out or what the cashier told me was that they didn't have any. I was already there so might as well try the drinks. I ordered 2 since it was during happy hour and got a 3rd drink free. The milk tea was incredibly disappointing. I got it 1/2 sweet with boba and the drink was still super sugary and didn't taste anything remotely similar to a milk tea. It tasted more like a caramel/brown sugar flavored milk. The jasmine milk tea was pretty much the same, sweet and lacking flavor. The fruit tea was better but still very sweet. The inferior is very cute, no other customers were in there so there was plenty of space. I'm willing to come back another time in hopes they'll have their bubble waffles, but as for the drinks, I'll probably have to pass.
