$3 marshmallow wands in milk or dark $14-17 (I forget & didn't take a picture) weighed bulk candy; jelly beans, individual candies, nostalgic, etc I absolutely LOVE candy and old towne soda fountains, etc. I buy Big Hunks and Chic-o-sticks from Staters for my fix but I will 100% never pass up a candy opportunity. I appreciated the nostalgic candies, glass case with chocolate dipped cookies, fruit, etc. The $3 marshmallow wands came as either milk or dark and rivaled the $8 Disneyland ones. Both were delicious! I didn't get the baklava but they looked delicious & well crafted. Staff was helpful but I knew my faves. I got pre-bagged Dr Pepper Jelly Bellys and the by the pound Green apple and Very cherry since they didn't come in bags. The buy the pound were unfortunately quite stale but the flavor was still there. Bummer, I spent so much(!) Definitely take a look around, they have import Japanese gummis, the trending Peeling gummis, gifts and knickknacks from Archie McPhee like finger hands IYKYK. Tuesday 1/14/26 This establishment has an assortment of candies. You can find some interesting ones for adults and some fun-for-the-kids. Some items are toy and candy combo which kids can enjoy playing with. They even have popular retro candies. It's fun to look through all of the shelves and discover the many variations. However, the day I stopped by, one girl was stocking while the other one was at the other side of the store where they serve ice cream. Service could improve if they would focus on the customers and point out items that otherwise we would miss. (A selling technique) We also ordered shaved ice. It was way too big for the cup they serve them in. They were a mess and tasted awful. I threw them away. Cost me $5 each. (Please improve the serving cup and flavor syrups). The store had two other customers ordering ice cream. Not busy at all. Overall, this store could improve by; making better use of space and by providing attention to the customers. Another great Sweet Shop in Old Town Temecula. They have just about everything nostalgic sweet you can imagine plus a few new ones. We went in there today and upon entering the young lady was scolding one of the parent customers about the store's poorly installed Christmas decor that was falling on its own. We watched in embarrassment for the customer and he was being scolded in front of his family and other guest while the other working girls were backbiting about the incident rather than promptly ensuring service. It was awkward for myself and outside family whom I wanted to impress with good hospitality to be a witness to conflict during an outing for ice cream of all things. The inability to try flavors was disappointing as was the description that was more comical to me but condescending to my out of town family. Here is where I was left completely confused because the young ladies seemed very much aware of their actions by encouraging each other and feeding off of each other's petty energy. It is my understanding that a tip is granted to those who ensure prompt and amicable service. She knew that wasn't the case because I was forced to intervene for family, remove them from foreign embarrassment and sacrifice myself to the subordinate comportment. She then very boldly proceeded to requested a tip after her poor comportment. I had to dismiss myself to help my disgust subside and reframe my mindset after that experience. The candy store is visually lovely though. I wish I would've been inspired to walk around and explore. Regarding the ice cream and experience I truly hope they were just having an off day and not being openly poor. Cold stone would have been a better option. read more

While walking around on a warm day in Temecula, I stumbled upon this charming vintage-style ice cream shop and I'm so glad I did! I went with the peanut butter chocolate and made it into a sundae, which turned out to be a fantastic choice. It wasn't overly sweet, and the whipped cream and fudge were perfectly balanced not too heavy at all. They serve a wide variety of Thrifty ice cream, and the prices were very reasonable. This review is just for the ice cream shop side of the business. We decided to stop in for some ice cream on a warm afternoon. The first impression was not too good as the interior tables were filthy with trash and other items not cleaned up as well as sticky stains on tables. Also, this is not locally made ice cream. It is Thrifty brand. That was disappointing after visiting several other nearby businesses that sell locally made products. Also, they do not let you sample any flavors. We have visited numerous ice cream shops around the world. Small businesses, major chain stores, etc. Every single one would let you sample flavors. Here the worker said this is not allowed, but she could "describe the flavors." Yikes! We tried the praline pecan ice cream as well as one of the frozen bananas. The ice cream was decent. Nothing amazing but perfectly fine. The banana unfortunately was not very flavorful. I could barely taste the chocolate coating, and the banana inside just did not taste very robust. This was a disappointing visit on many levels. I don't think we will visit again. read more

This is a magical candy store that you could probably spend hours in if you wanted. They have all kinds of candy and tchotchkes from present day to retro stuff. It brought back so many memories and I bought some candies and a yo-yo and a wooden flute for my sister that reminded me of the 60s. She loved the assortment of things that i bought her. Our Old Town is the best! We have the cutest shops & restaurants. OT Sweet Shop is one of them. Their selection of candy and sweets is just beyond crazy. From the colorful bins of Jelly Belly's to salt water taffy and gummies sour & regular, they have what you want. Behind the glass counter there are dipped chocolates marshmallows, dipped bacon, caramel apples, & fudge the list goes on and on. If you're looking for old time candy this is your place, they also have all the current trendy stuff like freeze dried favorites, along with Swedish options & Mexican & Japanese. I love coming in here and just taking my time to grab a few pieces and try something new. Seriously, you want it they've got it. In the back there is a little section with retro toys from days gone by and just a little something for everyone. Next door is their little attached ice cream shop with more treats. I actually had a much better experience here compared to the other sweet shop that's not too far away ( the owner at sweet spot accused my husband of stealing a candy flashlight my toddler was holding that was actually purchased here). This is probably the only sweet shop I encountered that had home made turkish delights. My husband bought me some as a surprise. We had so much fun here! It smells like an old-fashioned candy shop. There are so many offerings here. Old skool candy, new skool candy, and cute things that remind me of my childhood.
