The Sugar Spot is an Ice Cream Shop that offers a wide selection of Candies, Sodas, and Ice Cream including exotic snacks and nostalgic treats. Located in Old Town Temecula, this newest and coolest Ice Cream and Soda Shop in Old Town Temecula is something for everyone that will put a smile on everyone's face. They offer Ice Cream, Nostalgia Candy, Salt Water Taffy, fun gifts, Mixed Soda Drinks, and 115 different kinds of Bottled Soda. We visited this Ice Cream Shop on Thanksgiving Day and loved the cozy, family-friendly atmosphere, complete with unique decor inspired by local landmarks. From baseball hat sundaes to life-size superhero decor, every corner of The Sugar Spot promises an experience that will create a lasting impression. We tried the Cookies & Cream and the Truffle. The Cookies & Cream was average, but the Truffle was good. The price was reasonable. People who work here are friendly and cooperative.

The good: We came here twice in one day and tried three ice cream flavors and a chocolate and peanut covered caramel apple for under $10. The worker here was friendly and remembered us during our second visit. They have a lot of fun candy items including unique flavors of traditional candies like Kit Kat. They also sell lots of sodas and chocolate treats. We tried Rocky road, Cherry and espresso almond ice cream. The store was clean and very well organized. We bought a box of nerds and a candy toy as well. The bad: The ice creams were okay to subpar. The cherries in the ice cream were the maraschino type and tasted very artificial. The coffee flavor in the espresso ice cream was lacking. The texture could've been creamier. The interesting: They're located in Old Town and sell old timey candies like salt water taffy as well.

Great spot to visit in Temecula if you're in town. An awesome selection of not only sweet treats of all sorts, but snacks that can be hard to find. Prices overall can be steep, but I would say they are tourist prices or comparable to the trendy candy shops. The store is nostalgic too and they also offer ice cream (from yo) if you are craving it.

Great spot for all kinds of desserts! They have a huge selection of candies, pastries, and ice cream. I ordered a single scoop of mint chocolate chip with a cake cone. The ice cream and the service were both good.

This place is awesome. So many different sweets, candies, sodas, fudge, ice cream (Cone) and nostalgia candies like ABBA Zabba and Chico-sticks. They have very good Carmel apples and Asian flavor chips among other items. I highly recommend if you looking to satisfy your sweet tooth then stop by for an ice cream cone or many other sweet treats. The service is great and the store ambiance was very inviting.

On a recent trip to CA we decided to check out old town. This shop is a must visit with delicious treats, fair prices and super friendly owner! By far our favorite shop in Old Town, other candy shop in town doesn't compair!

Mario & Luigi's favorite stop. The Sugar Spot.

I've grown up in this town. And The Sugar Spot is Hands DOWN.... The absolute best place to bring your sweet tooth and/ or afternoon hangry. The ladies that work there are always happy to see us and helpful when we have questions. The booths out front are our favorite place to grab a cone, dole Whip, slice of pizza, nacho's or a cold drink and people watch for hours. Stop by and very likely find that old historic candy you long forgot about, your all time favorite or even exerience a new flavor from somewhere else in the world like we do.

This place is super cute! The thing that mainly brought me in was Mario and Luigi sitting in the car outside. If you haven't seen it, you're gonna have to stop by to know what I'm talking about. Was able to chat a little with the owner. You could tell that he was very passionate about his business. I've heard so many great things about the Matcha Kit Kats from Japan so I had to get my hands on those. I paid $12 for a pack of 12 or 13 little Kit Kats but when I tell you that they were worth it, THEY WERE WORTH IT! He has a couple of foreign Candy and chip areas around the candy shop.

Candy shop smells weird. Cute place. Great for tourist. Small town vibes. Customer service was alright. Prices a little steep. Apple was delicious. Nice Xmas ambiance.

This is such an adorable spot in Old Town Temecula. If you're indecisive, you'll probably have a tough time in here with the abundance of candy choices. Think back of the candy in the 80's and it's probably here. You can relive your childhood memories. This business gives back to the community by participating in fundraisers, which is awesome! The owners are super friendly and knowledgeable about candy.

Cute, candy place with lots of variety and cool toys. The workers are friendly there as well! Prices are okay.

While eating dinner at 127 West Social House I ran into the start up business owner Of Sweet Irony Candy Co. I was telling her about how I love support local businesses in our friendly village. She gave me a sample of her Milk Stout Sea Salted Caramel and I was in nirvana...OMGit was so good I helped myself to seconds. She told me a little bit about the back story of her company. She started of telling me about the company name and how came about because she's a type 1 diabetic who makes (non diabetic friendly) candy...hence Sweet Irony! I thought that was super clever....her story was eye opening but I wish her the best of luck! Before I left the restaurant I bought 1 bag of Caramels and 1 box of English Toffee. Before I got home I devoured the whole bag of caramels! It was amazingly yummy...I was hooked! Honestly, I felt super guilty afterwards and if my guilt didn't shame me I would have ate the whole bag of English Toffee as well! I added her on Instagram. I think I'm gonna order some for my friends at work. I'm still thinking about the bag of English Toffee! Haha

To know especially that these are rescued animals and are being taken care of so carefully, giving us the privilege of being able to give them our love as well, it was a heartwarming experience. Plenty of free parking available right infront of the sanctuary. There is a cute little shop attached to the sanctuary, where you can buy their handmade truffle chocolates which are so delicious (coming from someone who isn't a fan of truffle chocolates), fresh farm eggs, honey, and other delicacies. With your zoo "ticket" you get 2 free samples of their chocolates and a hefty bag of feed for the animals. The animals are mostly in their own pens, with some together. There's even a couple of the pigs you'll find out of pens, just hanging out on the property, laying beside the building. You're able to go into the tortoise pen and feed/pet him as well, 2 people at a time inside the pen, as he does get anxious. You're not able to feed all of the animals, but for the most part you can. Each pen has a sign for which animals are ok to feed/pet and which are not. They are very calm and friendly, as long as you are too. They take the feed very gently and don't bite your fingers. On the weekends they offer pizza made fresh for the visitors, and have plenty of covered outdoor seating options to enjoy. They also offer wine tasting, but we did not partake, as we had just left a winery, but I'm sure it is quite enjoyable as well. Definitely a must stop if you're in the area and it's a 5 minute drive from the wineries!

I was tempted and seduced with a Banana Truffle, and then I needed more, more, more. We spent more on chocolates than we did touring the animals, and it was worth EVERY penny!!! The animals they have here are all rescues, and many of them have issues, but they have a loving forever home here. With the exception of the Camel and the Bison, we own many of these animals ourselves, but still enjoy interacting with and feeding them. They all were such characters. One of the Alpacas is hysterical, absolutely LOVED him/her, with the goofiest teeth. They all take the treats so nicely and have soft mouths. I got to pet a Zebra (oh yeah, we don't have one of those either). The zebra is so cool and lives in a corral with a Zorse- such a fun experience. I don't care if you already own livestock; this place is a cool spot to stop in, and if nothing else, buy yourself some of the best chocolates you will ever have. When in season, they have Emu eggs available.
