I really loved the customer service, the young ladies at front were so welcoming and patient. It is beautiful and decorated very nice! I like how you can see the mixers in the back! The only thing is that my chocolate chip scone was good but not as flavorful as I hoped it would be! and the coffee was a little milky, not enough coffee! I was really looking forward to eating here and trying out some scones. I have had scones many times before at Tuck Box in Carmel and really loved scones. But i was sadly dissapointed. I paid $24 for two scones and one small tea. The tea tasted so bad my girlfriend took only one sip and tossed the rest. The scones were dry and way too crumbly. I could not even taste mine. I was surprised they had so many scones in the display case because i dont see how they could sell that many. They must keep them on display a long time. I was surprised how few seats they had in there. They only hsve room forr about ten guests at a time. Sadly i won't be back, and will tell my friends not to go there because my experience was not a pleasant one. read more

My sister has been mentioning this place for a while and I finally got the chance to try it when I was in the area last weekend! Scones - what a unique and enticing concept! It is a bright and inviting but at the same time calm and clean space - they have indoor and outdoor seating and it's a great place to chat with friends or potentially study. Plenty of parking in the plaza.The barista in the front was super sweet and accommodating. We got two white mochas, one hot and the other iced - I liked the coffee - alone it would have been a 4 star drink, I would have liked the coffee taste to be a little bit stronger but overall it was pretty good! I would still come back to try other drinks on the menu :) Also personally loved the touch of the bible quote on the lid. Where this 5th star comes is the scones!! I'm not even typically a scone person but they looked SO good and did not disappoint. I'm constantly on the lookout for new places to remotely work, and hit a true gem when I found this one! I didn't realize that they have a few locations in the area, but this one is perfect for bringing a laptop as they have ample seating (both inside and shaded outside). While their menu is mostly scones, they do offer a handful of select baked goods in addition to scone sandwiches and avocado toasts. They also have a fun coffee menu with seasonal flavors such as butter pecan, maple, pumpkin, and toffee! For lunch I got a savory bacon, egg, and cheese scone warmed that had a sprinkle of chives on top and it was absolutely delicious. Their scones are the perfect texture without being too crumbly or stodgy. Of course I couldn't leave without taking a sweet one home too, so I got a maple pecan for the road that was freaking EPIC. The little chunks of pecans added a lovely crunch and the maple was sweet without being cloying. Before I knew it, 2 hours here had flown by and I was able to get so much done without any distractions! Highly recommend, and the staff here were beyond friendly and helpful too! I heard a few people ask about both vegan and gluten free flavors, which they were able to happily accommodate. I am so fatigued by workers, disgruntled by their little tea-serving lives, who can't even muster a half smile and instead behave as though a customer is an inconvenience. The store wasn't even busy. The store taught me that I can whistle and hum smilingly to myself as I plop my own flavored syrup into my cup at home, and fill it with tea and ice. By making my own tea, I won't have to feel like a burden on someone else' time. The worker should walk up the boulevard to Swing Inn and see how they combine pleasant natures with purposeful action. Great scone, and coffee. Nice place, I would come back. Maybe I'm wrong but it seemed messed up. Bought two scones and two coffees (hot) got cold ones instead. No big deal we were there with time to relax. Employees were nice, made us up new coffees. While we waited the clerk asked the other employees if they wanted the coffees. That makes sense, then when they didn't want them they gave them to the people sitting next to us. The salted vanilla brown butter scone I had was lovely. It was undoubtedly one of the best scones I've ever tasted, not dry and flakey like I often find them to be. The inside is super cute - bright and airy with enough space to spread out if you want to get some work done. The employees were welcoming and attentive. Overall, it was an enjoyable experience. The one thing I can't get past (that will likely keep me from returning), is the lack of pricing listed anywhere in the store. Not on the menu boards or the printed menus. However, I noticed that on the avocado toast line, there was something like, "add an egg +2" - which leads me to believe that it's an additional $2 to add an egg to a toast, but zero indication of the base cost of the toast. At first I thought maybe they removed pricing for aesthetic reasons, but then why keep the +2? That doesn't make sense. I strongly disliked having to ask the person behind the counter how much the toast was ($12 for anyone wondering), and I wasn't about to ask her the prices of everything else I was interested in, so I just ordered a scone (around $6). My friend joined me a bit later and was just as flustered when ordering ($8ish for a latte and she also had some sort of bacon scone, so her total came to $17). Price is almost always something I consider before making a purchase. It's important to me to know what I'm going to be spending and determine if the value is there for me, and when I have no insight, it makes me uncomfortable. The friend I was with had a breakfast per diem provided by her company and had to stay within the allotted amount, so it took her a while to order. I highly doubt that transparently listing menu prices will deter customers, so I hope they'll reconsider. read more

I got the strawberry matcha w/ almond milk, which is a seasonal valentines drink. It was pretty good, the strawberry syrup/puree tasted fresh, I just wish the matcha was a bit stronger. We got four scones: the orange cranberry, vanilla bean, m and m, and chocolate strawberry. My favorite was the orange cranberry it was perfectly moist and the flavors were very good. I came here with my husband on a Sunday morning to get some work done and there were spacious tables and incredibly friendly service. We were given the run down on the sweet and savory scones, and they offer a vegan option as well. They have "kid scones" which are cutely decorated such as the funfetti or the animal cookie. We chose to go with the blueberry lemon scone and a savory, which was ham + gouda, topped with an egg. YUM! Their coffee selection is boujie and there's an option for everyone, including dairy-free milks. Their barista recommendation was the Honeybee latte which features real honey, cinnamon, and vanilla. Easily customizable, if you're not into sweet coffees, like me. I asked for a quarter of the sweetness, and I was not disappointed. Their hours are 7:30am-4:00pm everyday. They have such a wide variety from savory to sweet. Being the sweet tooth that I am, I chose 3 different scones. They were the strawberry cheesecake, red velvet and vanilla bean. From the moment we walked in the energy was off with judgmental stares and rushed attitudes like we didn't belong there. It wasn't even busy yet we were treated like we were wasting their time. Then came the food. The order was wrong which happens sometimes but the way it was handled made it worse. And the actual food was honestly insulting. I ordered the avocado toast with an egg on top and what I got was a tiny smear of avocado completely buried under an overwhelming pile of arugula like they were trying to hide how stingy they were. The egg I paid three dollars extra for was literally just a store bought hard boiled egg sliced up and plopped on top. I couldn't believe they even had the nerve to serve that. I left feeling not just disappointed but unwelcome. It is one thing for food to be overpriced and underwhelming but it is another thing to feel judged for simply being there. The vibes are not friendly not warm and absolutely not worth your money. Temecula has plenty of great spots and this is not one of them. read more
