Authentic Irish pub owned by the same guy who owned the Burren and McCarthy's. I came here on St. Patrick's Day weekend and the place was buzzing. They had a bespoke menu for the season, and the place was packed. Nonetheless, they had a lot of support staff working the service was great.

I was craving a sheppards pie for lunch. I knew exactly what I wanted, visualizing in my head the portion, and quality of ingredients I knew I had a high standard that I didn't expect to be met. What I received was the most beautiful portion of pie I could've wished for. A heap of well prepared mashed potatoes sat in the most flavorful mince with gravy. Not only did the portion size strangle my hunger, but the depth of flavor transfixed my taste buds. I've already ordered it 4 times since.

What a fun bar. In a city with tons of pubs, The Bebop is a great option! I feel like their main draw is the entertainment - seems like there's always something going on there. The service and vibes were on par for what you'd expect at a standard pub. I didn't have anything to eat, but their drinks seemed pretty solid. Fun spot!

The service was good for a standard bar and the food was just OK. Came here for a country music night and there wasn't much space, so we were near the stage and the music was very loud. Students come to play music overall it wasn't a bad post-work spot.

They play music all week! Love the vibes! Great drinks! The place is crowded during the weekends.

We stopped in here after the Boston Red Sox game to grab and beer and was not disappointed! The music is what attracted us to go in and it was a cute, quaint place that ended up having fantastic food. We weren't originally planning on eating unit we saw what everyone else was ordering and couldn't pass it up. We got the fish and chips which was perfectly crispy. I saw some others that got the chicken and Shepard's pie and everything looked great!

Was looking for a quick lunch meal. Saw in Yelp good reviews for this place. The call chowder and the Shepherd's pie were both terrific. Nice and quiet and quick service.

Grilled Chicken Pesto Sandwich Dinner. The steak fries were crispy and delicious.

This is one of those challenging reviews. This place should be epic with its pub vibe and amazing music. It just falls short with a generous 4 rating. The music and atmosphere were the highlight and a strong 5. For pub fare, the food was a strong 4. The service is the biggest challenge at 2.5. The bar is simply understaffed and table service is limited. In the category of fool me twice, we had ordered a Guinness and a Jamison and we were given some Jack, honey or terrible alternative. For an Irish bar, that is just table stakes to be able to provide a beautiful Jamison's rather than some rot gut. But, after waiting 10 minutes to get the beer at the bar and then return to our table you don't have patience to check one of the staff consistently barrel through the space bumping me while other patrons didn't do the same. I just made it odd. He did apologize in the end. It was very good pub fair including an appetizer plate was just really well done. Nice plate of healthy nachos. Topped with chicken. For dinner the pesto chicken sandwich was really tasty, the steak tips were quality and reasonably priced value for Boston while the Caesar salad was fresh and good pub fair. The broccoli cheddar soup was good. The flatbread was what you would expect to get for pub fare. Overall, the food was solid. It has an Irish pub vibe. Great location, craic. You walk in, and the band is to your left. There were 4-5 people on a small stage with other people subbing in. Great eclectic music. On another visit, there's a traditional Irish, three person band. Really the highlight of this experience.

Went to The Bebop on a random Thursday afternoon. Turns out that it was open mic night. There were maybe 3 or 4 people in the bar and one person, not untalented, playing guitar very loudly. I guess I can't complain but I could barely get my drink order in because of the noise. Laid-back, divey vibe with a kind of light Irish theme. A small second story with seating. Drink price very reasonable @ $9/mixed drink. I'd go back again, but maybe not on open mic night. I like to be able to hear myself think.

This was my first time at the Bebop and I had no idea what to expect. One thing I did anticipate is that parking would be challenging (after all this spot is located in the heart of Back Back). Once we found a place to park, we walked a short distance to attend the Thursday night open mic and it did not disappoint! The atmosphere is "Irish pub meets Berklee student hangout meets Townies" and it was all love when it came to the patrons. We heard some incredible performances, ate amazing food, and the female bartender was very attentive despite being so busy. The highlights of the evening were listening to Cornbread the Artist perform his catchy song, "Purple Dandelions" and eating the best pub food I've had in a long time. I HIGHLY recommend the fried calamari (it was cooked to perfection...tender and lightly breaded...served with banana peppers) and bbq wings which were also prepared really well. I have so many reasons to go back and I want to bring my friends! Why not five stars? The male bartender on duty was rude and had bad vibes...costing The Bebop that extra star.

Really cute bar near Berkeley. Stopped by quickly before a show nearby. They have a stage for livr music and wlrrally cute decorations for Christmas. Service was very quick and staff were very nice, will definitely go again

The food and drinks are quite good! I would like to go back and try their brunch foods to see how they compare. Service can be hit or miss. If you're sitting upstairs you may see your server less often than downstairs. The ambiance is your typical little pub. Very tight knit and cozy. I will note that when I went it was comedy/open mic night and the performers were REALLY hit or miss. I would suggest going during regular hours or during a different event.

A good pub experience at the Bebop! We were visiting from out of town (first time in Boston) and this was near our hotel. They had live music at the front of the pub, and so we chose to go towards the back (upstairs). We got to enjoy the music while also being able to have a conversation (music was good but loud!). We grabbed a few beers (I tried a few of the local IPAs-- very good!) and some apps. For food, we got the sampler and some buffalo cauliflower. The sampler plate was delicious and would definitely recommend getting this with the curry sauce! The curry was the standout for sure. The cauliflower was good but I wish it had been roasted longer for a crispier finish. Overall good food and good service!

Although the game didn't end well, we had fun here. Lots of tvs throughout and a chill vibe overall. We ordered at the bar and the guy brought it over to us. I got a Sam Seasonal Oktoberfest and my boyfriend got a sun cruiser. I then ordered the steak and cheese with fries. It was really tasty but a little small. My boyfriend got the Honey Dripper crispy chicken sandwich. He was recommended this by the bartender--he loved it! Good recommendation!! Overall it was fun to be surrounded by sox fans to watch the game, and enjoy good food and drink. I loved all the neon signs and decor! I wish tvs were a little larger in size but it worked. I would come back!

Throughout our 2-3 hours there, we ordered truffle fries and 2 pitchers of mich ultra, one of the lightest and cheapest beers sold at any bar. Much to our surprise, our total for those 3 simple items were in excess of $90+ (which for reference, the fries were $12). This means, EACH pitcher of mich ultra was anywhere from $38-$40. Needless to say, this pricing is egregious, and we were completely shocked to see it on the bill. This was after we were kindly offered to be checked out from the table, so the bartender took my card back to the back to run it before bringing it back and presenting us with this surprise. Now, I am not one to leave reviews in general, and usually if I leave any, they are positive - due to fantastic or above-average food/dining/service/hospitality etc. Unfortunately, this is not one of those times. I will say, for what we had food-wise, the fries were delicious - although, this incredibly high differential in cost we were charged, for one of the notoriously cheaper beers in any bar, left me no choice but to bring it to light. I'm aware this is Boston, and I know F&B is at a higher cost today than in times prior in most bars and restaurants. But - with comparisons for the same pitcher of beer around the area ranging between $22-$26 per pitcher, the obvious is left to be seen.

It wasn't particularly busy on a Sunday at 1pm, which was fine with us, and the other patrons were all middle aged (like us) or older; the youngest person was the bartender. The music wasn't blasting, there were hooks under the counter to hang your purse (which was much appreciated), and the gender neutral washroom was clean. The bar catered to beer drinkers, of course, and the only wine they offered was Pinot Grigio for $9 a glass, but it was nice and refreshing on such a hot day, and at least it wasn't something disgusting like Moscato. It really is very tiny, so just be aware that seating is sometimes limited. They didn't have too much on draft, thought some of that was due to the Scottish being in town for the World Cup the week before. We went with lemon drop shots, and the bartender was very transparent about the fact that he was out of most of his supplies due to the Scottish. No fault at all to them for that because that was the situation at every bar we went to. Service was friendly, the shot was nice and strong, and it was a nice little spot. Beyond drinking, there isn't really much going on in the bar in terms of activities, but there were TVs. So, watching sports here is definitely an option. I'd definitely say that this spot is worth popping in if you are enjoying a night on the town, but that it probably shouldn't be the only spot you go to.

It was a chilly evening right at the beginning of fall so we wanted something cozy to warm up in. I actually didn't realize the replica bar upstairs wouldn't be open, although I think sometimes it is because I've seen pictures where there's people sitting in it, but I think mostly they use it for show. We saw people coming from downstairs so we decided to check it out. When we got inside the place was packed. The bar had no seats whatsoever so we stood by the countertop right behind the bar. We got a downeast hard cider on draft, which was really good. Luckily seats opened up at the counter. The bartender let us know that we could purchase the mugs if we wanted to bring them home. I decided not to as we were walking and taking the train home, but I might come back to get one so I can have the memorabilia. The downstairs bar is very cozy. It's sort of centers the room and around it our tables where you could eat at. I overhead the staff say the tables are just for food and drink -- I think because it's so busy. When you continue on past the bar, you get to a mini gift shop right before the bathrooms, they also had name tags where you could write your name on, which was cool. My boyfriend surprised me with a magnet because he knows I collect them, which was cute. Next to the bathrooms are stairs to go visit the replica bar from the show. This is also where they have the main gift shop with plenty of things you could take home, including shirts, sweatshirts, mugs, magnets, and other cool stuff too. Honestly working in the hospitality industry I will recommend this bar to tourists and to locals. Even though it is very touristy, there is quality behind it so it works well. I will be back to try a cuppa chowder!
