If I could give somewhere a 10/10 star review, it would be here. I've been coming to foleys for 5 years now and have gotten to know the bartenders and waiters who are all super friendly and give you a good laugh. My favorites (and there are many) are the French dip, chicken wings, cowboy cheeseburger, tots, and chowder. We've tried what feels like everything on the menu, and I always keep an eye out for their specials. I've come here to watch some games and it's a great space to do so. Love coming here with friends and letting them in on my favorite pub and restaurant in the city! :)

This is a review of the food and service, not the bar/drinks. The food was very good pub food. Both the food and theme in the restaurant really felt just like a real pub in Europe. The duck poutine and the fish and chips were both very good. Portion sizes were huge and the service was very nice. I really have no complaints. I'd go back again for sure!

What a great little Irish pub! You already know it's good when there are a bunch of regulars sitting at the bar on a Sunday afternoon. Since I've heard great things about Foley's, I was expecting it to be crowded, but we were one of the only groups there for lunch when we visited which was a nice surprise. We ordered some drinks and got Fish & Chips and the Foley Burger to split. I was really impressed with the quality and price of the food, especially considering how close to downtown we were. The fish were flakey and tender, clearly very fresh. The fries and tartar sauce had huge portions, which I appreciated. The burger was very good and well seasoned. If I were to come back, I'd probably order a burger with less toppings, since they kept slipping out when I tried taking a bite. Still, I really enjoyed the food and the overall pub experience.. it feels like a hometown hole-in-the-wall!

We love this place! When we visit Boston, we make a point to go here! The duck poutine fries are a must, but we haven't tried anything here that disappointed us. Great neighborhood bar.

Stopped in here today after leaving Back Bay en route to an Artist's opening on Harrison Ave. This is my kind of place with that mix of dim lighting, padded booths, epic corner seating and room for a party of 8 or 10 to park their butts and enjoy a couple of rounds of drinks uninterrupted. Waitress was ridiculously fast and effusive in tending to our needs and the place gave off that air of welcoming hooligans and tourists alike.

shrimp & scallop Linguini Pasta, Cowboy Burger

Went on a Sunday night so it was packed with sunday football watchers. Very loud atmosphere so you could talk about anything and no one would notice. Food took forever to get ordered and was self seating. Definitely understaffed but the old man who was our server was sweet and very friendly. Made the wait a lot better. I ordered the shrimp and scallop linguine pasta and it was very flavorful and definitely packed a punch with the spice (don't recommend to anyone who can't handle spicy food) the scallops and shrimp were tender and not over cooked which is pretty good for bar food. I was a little weary about ordering it. The tater tots were strong on the truffle and were good and tasted exactly as one would expect truffle parmesan tate tots to taste so it wasn't anything special. The loaded nachos were alright. They weren't bad or amazing but that's saying a lot considering I'm not a fan of loaded nachos. But my boyfriend loved it and housed them lol. They had enough of everything and none of the flavors were overwhelming.

Fun Irish Pub in Boston. Great Guinness pour, and food was excellent. Had the fish n chips. Turkey burger was also outstanding!

As a Bar it is quite good except for the rowdy BPD drinking there. Food is plain and unremarkable.

She was able to find us a table after a short wait at the bar. By the way, at the bar I had the best Guinness I have had in a while - a great pour. Once we sat down, Rachel was right there to welcome us and get us started. This exceptional level of service from her continued throughout the evening. We started with the sharing platter and each item was fantastic. Everything was hot and delicious. Of particular note were the pigs in blankets - the sausage is fantastic. The only disappointment was that it came with one scotch egg instead of two. For supper, two of us ordered shepherds pie, one Guinness pie, one Guinness stew and one Fish & Chips. Everyone was very happy with their meal. Great flavor/seasoning, good portions and perfectly cooked beef and fish. We continued to enjoy the Guinness and Smithwick's on tap until the end of the meal when got a round of Irish Coffee which was delicious. Rachel was spot on with her service and attitude and even engaged in a conversation with us about our next trip to Ireland and she reinforced our desire to go the north of Ireland including Donegal where she is from. At some point my wife told Rachel that it was my birthday and that I am not a cake person. Rachel managed to get the kitchen to make a personal size apple crumble which was scrumptious and happens to be a favority of mine. In fact my wife commented after that she would have ordered it but it was not on the menu as a dessert. Another example of Rachel going above and beyond the call to ensure we had a great experience. And we did. Thank you to Rachel and all the staff and chefs for a briliant evening. I can't wait to go back!!

Service is usually always good - easy to order. It gets super busy on Fridays at lunch so you usually have to wait longer but nothing too crazy. Ambiance is pretty standard pub - good beer, good people, good food.

It's homely, welcoming, and I feel included. Last went here during the Red Bull Heavy Metal event that was happening at City Hall. Place was packed. We had the best Irish coffees and were able to get a table despite the crowd. I love the attention to detail this place puts regarding its decorative wood around the bar, the lighting, life music, and more. Great place to have a drink. Yes, I think the food could improve a bit - maybe some nice club sandwiches or vary the food offerings, but overall love this place.

We kept trying to make eye contact, but it didn't work~eventually we had to wave someone down. Even then, the response from the bar felt like it was an inconvenience just to send our server over. That said, the food was mostly good. The bangers & mash and the burger were spot on. However, the "Taste of Ireland" pies were disappointing~2 in particular missed the mark. The shepherd's pie had no mince (just potatoes and peas), & the Guinness pie was more like a beef stew than a proper pie. Overall, some strong dishes, but the service and a few key items would make me hesitate to return.

Not too far from out hotel, we walked through the park, found it and went down stairs. I just had to see it. Woe. It was smaller than I thought it would be. We walked around to the back side. The whole place was packed. We finally got a seat and ordered some drinks. A few bar seats came open and we sat there. The tender was awesome and real helpful. We then ordered the calamari. Wow The best I've ever had. They do something special. The peppers are an awesome touch. The place was pretty special even though it wasn't the actual bar I remembered. The food was really good. The beer was cold. The people were real nice. It felt like I imagined it would. P.S. I just found out there is an upstairs with a replica bar. Now we need to go back. Everyone doesn't know your name! Anyway, this place is a tourist trap but that's kind of the point. I walked in hoping to see the square bar like in the TV show but instead there is just a small bar and a bunch of tables, then down the hall, there is another smaller bar and more tables. There is also an area to buy all the standard gift shop souvenirs. We ordered a couple of beers from the bar while checking out all the memorabilia all over the walls. We didn't eat any food so no opinion on any of it. The place was cool for what it is. So, while they may not know your name, but you'll be glad you came if you are a fan of the tv show. Just keep the expectations low and enjoy.
