Came in during lunch time and it wasn't busy at all. You choose where you want to sit, order at the bar and they bring your order to you. The guys at the bar were really nice and food came out pretty quickly. I ordered the fish sandwich and upgraded my fries to truffle fries. My sandwich was yummy, with a good size fish fillet. The fries were ok. Truffle powder was kind of on the salty side. I could only imagine how they are on a busy night! Very interesting establishment. You seat yourself and order your food at the bar. I was a little skeptical but so happy I stayed. I was torn by the burger and chicken sandwich and asked the bartender which I should go with and before I could finish my sentence he said chicken sandwich so that's what I went with. I have to give a shoutout to Darius! We stopped in and had drink while waiting to be called to another place where we planned to have dinner. The place was hyped up online but when we got there, it was not what we expected and just went right back to AT O'Keeffe's for dinner! Although I don't eat burgers cause they are too filling, I ordered the smash burger. It was delicious! The calamari was so perfect! Best I've ever had. We also ordered the chicken wings and had to try the fish and chips. Everything was amazing. The only thing we didn't really go for was the clam chowder. Even though it was more authentic then some other places we had it at for our Boston chowder marathon, the potatoes were cut too big and it wasn't as thick and creamy as we like. Fun and loud neighborhood bar that really delivers a good time and good food, even when it's busy on a rainy fall night. Love the Smithwick's on tap along with the Guinness. The Irish Mule is worth a nod, or two. Maybe three. Bartenders were really on top of it--attentive service even in the chaos. Above average bar food, topped by an amazing Reuben. No doubt other places in Boston are better but you just don't find great Reuben's in the south. We enjoyed this one as we did the dish and chips, another dish routinely botched at home. Really bad. I was going to let it go, but then I came to dinner the same day at a place that didn't suck, and it just ticked me how bad A.T. O'Keefe's is. Atmosphere is fine. It's a pub. The bathrooms smell like piss. But it looks charming enough upstairs. But the food is way overpriced, and pretty awful. Think about the quality and price of food at a ball park and you're on the right track, in terms of how bad you're being ripped off. And it took forever to show up. If you have a table, you have to go to the bar to order. So it's basically counter service, but they charge full-service prices. And they add a mandatory 20% gratuity on top of that. Ridiculous. To top it off, a guy who appeared to be an employee was actually going table to table selling some "off the menu" goods out of a duffel bag. Again, I don't mind if you're going to use your sports bar as a front for your ketamine side hustle, but at least don't charge me $18 for some chicken fingers I have to order from the bar, and then congratulate yourself on a job well done with an extra 20% tip. Go literally anywhere else. This place sucks. read more

Visited on May 24th. Memorial Day Weekend and the end of the Premier League season. It was clear that O'Keefes was wholly unprepared for the crowd. There were only two people working and it took close to 20-30min to get drinks. Unsure why they had menus on the tables considering there were no servers. Slightly frustrating considering they were clearly aware of the expected amount of people. Also, I'm fine with automatic tipping (like they do at Loretta's) but only after good/efficient service. The bartender automatically added a 20% tip on a 64$ bill (12.80$) after I had waited 30 minutes. Would not recommend for live sports and there are far better run bars in the area. read more

Came here for lunch with my hubs after a nice MFA date with the hubs. I'll say ; The owner is great. It wasn't busy when we went in. We got our food fast. My husband got the smash burger. It was great! I wish I got it. My chicken fingers weren't worth the cost (two tiny pieces and one regular sized tender) and it wasn't great. But now I know and I'll get something else when I return. The smash burger (husband only ate half) heated up well. Glad we came by even if my dish was meh. Will be back. read more

Came here for drinks with friends new to Boston and I was not impressed. The bartender had an attitude and was unfriendly. Thought about getting food and then I saw a mouse running around on the floor. Music was way too loud so it was hard to have a conversation. Women's bathroom was disgusting and one of the doors was missing a lock. There are TVs to watch games but there was no sound. The only positive was the one drink I got was quite strong and worth the $13 price. Would not recommend this place to anyone. read more

I went to A.T. O'Keeffe's located on 911 Boylston St, Boston, MA. This irish pub and sports bar has over 65 bourbons and has one of the largest bourbon selections in Massachusetts. They also feature some pretty amazing food and cocktail selections! For cocktails we had their margarita and an old fashioned. The staff was very kind with helping us choose a whiskey to try based on our preferences. For appetizers we had their scotch eggs, buffalo wings and truffle mac and cheese. If you don't know what a scotch egg it is a boiled egg wrapped in irish sausage, coated in breadcrumbs and deep-fried. All of the appetizers were very good but my hands down favorite was the truffle mac and cheese. So creamy and so delicious! For entrees we had their honey dipper crispy chicken sandwich, the A.T.'s Burger and the Shepherd's pie. The Shepherd's pie was amazing and exactly the type of menu item you want to see at an irish pub! For dessert we had their Creme Brulée and Bourbon Pecan Bread Pudding. The Bourbon pecan bread pudding had so much flavor and of course a hint of Bourbon Cara. Next time you find yourself in Back Bay and its a game night head on over to this spot! Good place to come watch a game, but I wouldn't come here for a meal. We came in and sat ourselves at a table near the bar. Each table we tried had a bit of a wobble, so we picked the one that wobbled the least and sat down. It did take a while for someone to serve us, so we grabbed a menu from the table next to us and I looked at what was on tap. When our server came she was very friendly and got our beers to us right away. She recommended the chicken sandwich which I ordered. It was decent for bar food, chicken was fried very well but the honey mustard and other sauce just spilled out the back of the sandwich and it started to fall apart as I ate. Fries that came with it were nothing special. My boyfriend got the A.T. Burger which was ok but also nothing special. Our server was attentive, she did come and check on us a couple times after our food came out. We were the only ones I saw eating there, everyone else was there just for the game and beers. I think that's the move for this spot. This place has a good sized bar, large TVs, and beer on tap. Good for watching sports, but I would probably recommend eating dinner somewhere else before coming here. read more

I came here for a Grand Opening event and had an absolutely great time! There was live music and a nice after work crowd. The location itself is really convenient and there is plenty of space. All the staff was friendly and they seemed ethusiastic. At the event, they gave out drink tickets - I had a vodka cranberry and a vodka soda, both of which were pretty strong. The bar service was a bit slow because they only had 2 bartenders and it was fairly busy, but it wasn't too much of a bother. In terms of food, they served mini cheeseburgers, crispy chicken sandwiches, and corned beef sandwiches, all of which were above my expectations for bar food. Update- As we were leaving, the manager came by and told us that he comped our tab because of the "vegan/hummus in the chicken broth issue" in an effort to make things right. Below is our initial experience: We were excited to visit based on the "bourbon club" reference in the sign to celebrate a bourbon collector's 40th birthday. We were not greeted upon approaching the bar and the bartender didn't have a bourbon list and was annoyed when we asked about different allocated bottles. We ordered the fries and a hummus platter since we're vegans and the hummus came out like soup, so we asked if they mixed anything with it to thin it down. They confirmed it was was mixed with chicken broth (not listed on the menu) and told us we should've informed them were vegans. Hummus is always a classic safe vegan option everywhere else. Upon asking for waters for three people they brought us two. And there's no table side service. Not a very memorable "bourbon club" experience for a group who traveled from Florida. Would recommend hiring a restaurant manager to oversee talent and menu execution. And perhaps consider offering more than 10 bourbon options if the restaurant sign references it being a "bourbon club." Both our old fashioned orders were served without an orange rind and didn't include cherries. When we asked for cherries the "bartender" put one in each. read more

Halfway through our meal (which took forever!) we had a very strange interaction with a gentleman who seemed to be shocked that we "didn't know why he was here." I ordered a burger, the patties came out burnt to crisps, then the gentleman who took my order was great and ordered me a new one. This is an awesome bar to watch sports and enjoy delicious food. The atmosphere is electric. We came here to watch the USA vs Denmark World Cup game, and there was a line out the door before they opened. This place is definitely a local favorite. There were TVs practically everywhere I looked and the sound system was pretty good as well. The drink menu is extensive (I recommend the Texas Mule). The food menu is pretty standard for bars featuring wings, burgers, and fries. I opted for the Smash Burger with fries, and it certainly did not disappoint. Big portions and a juicy burger patty. We were in town to meet up with a friend who was visiting from out of town and weren't ready to end the evening when her hotel's bar closed. We were very grateful for AT O'keeffe's presence a short walk away. They opened the large storefront windows which made for a nice breeze. They had the standard boston brews on tap and kept the drinks flowing. It was actually pretty crowded until its closing which was impressive for a Tuesday night, or maybe I'm just getting old. the bathroom, which I am very familiar with after the few hours of our visit, was clean and toilets were plentiful. Unlike the hotel bar we patronized just prior, they were patient enough to allow us to finish our drinks before leaving after it closed. Only bad thing I have to say about the place is that they gave my GF's card to someone else so she had to cancel it and all the bullshit rigamarole which comes with that. I would hope a bar that keeps tabs open would be conscientious enough to give the cards back to their rightful owners. read more

The food and the beer were great, and the bartender in the back (petite girl with dark hair and an oversized jacket) was super friendly and made my day. However, my review is for the owner of the bar... his name might be Jerry?? Not quite sure what happened but he claimed that the girl broke the stereo system. He verbally abused her, screaming at her and calling her the r word. He threatened to shut down the entire bar for her mistake. In fact, he called his repairman to come to fix it and said that the bar was closed now because of this. He was so rude and berated her, calling her an idiot and threatening to cut her pay check over this petty thing. He is a man child, and I will no longer frequent this location because of the way he treated her. This is unacceptable behavior regardless of whose fault it is. My only wish is that the girl finds a better job a a boss who treats her with the respect she deserves. Truffle fries were good, though. read more

Most places like this don't have the nicest or cleanest food options, but I was thoroughly impressed with the quality of the food - in particular, the Reuben sandwich was honestly one of the best I've ever had, nationwide. Also had the pleasure of meeting Jared, the owner, he's a legend, and even shared some wild stories about his tens of thousands of dollars worth of exclusive bottles (he even gave me a taste of a $120 glass of bourbon). Stopped in for lunch after a flight in from Chicago. Was here years ago and I remembered how good the food was. That hasn't changed one bit. The bartender was friendly and took my order.
